[h=3]People have been bashed for giving opinions: Priyanka Chopra[/h]Actor Priyanka Chopra feels one is entitled to his or her opinion, but in the last few years people in India have been “bashed” for expressing their point of view. When asked about the criticism superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan have received for expressing their views on ‘intolerance’ recently, Priyanka said, “It is not just about this. I think everyone has an opinion about it. We are supposed to be the greatest democracy in the world.” “There have been many incidents that have happened in the last few years where people have been bashed for giving their opinions. Everybody has an opinion. We are in a democracy. Our forefathers fought for freedom of speech and being Indian,” the actor

A very good question! Hope the answer will be equally good! :)

[h=3]Debating intolerance: Where was Parliament sanctity when Manmohan Singh was called ‘chor’?[/h] Today would certainly stand as a special day in our parliamentary history, when we had to discuss a topic like ‘intolerance’. For a nation whose Constitution is inspired by the principles of liberalism, democracy, plurality, respect of human rights, freedom of expression, culture, religion and choices, that there comes a day when there is a genuine cause of a debate on intolerance, is perhaps the most damning comment itself on where we have come to.

Anything at any expenditure to look beautiful and young!

[h=3]Now, dentists can make you look younger[/h]DENTAL procedures are being chosen for bringing in significant changes in facial features by many people over temporary treatments like Botox and laser for fuller lips and improved face profile. Several growth patterns are present in ageing individuals and soft tissue profiles may at times mask or aggravate the appearance of the underlying skeletal pattern,” said Dr A K Chandna, an orthodontist. Cosmetic dentistry with procedures like overbite correction, underbite correction, open bite correction and jaw expansion and braces are now the most sought- after aesthetic treatments.

Sure! Why not??? After all they are MORE equal than the others ! Right?

[h=3]World's richest 10 percent produce 50% of CO2: report[/h]The richest 10 percent of people produce half of Earth's climate-harming fossil-fuel emissions, while the poorest half contribute a mere 10 percent, British charity Oxfam said in a study released Wednesday. Oxfam published the numbers as negotiators from 195 countries met in Paris to wrangle over a climate rescue pact. Disputes over how to share responsibility for curbing greenhouse-gas emissions and aiding climate-vulnerable countries are among the thorniest and longest-running issues in the 25-year-old UN climate process.

[h=3]Facebook's Zuckerberg to give 99 percent of shares to charity[/h]SAN FRANCISCO/BENGALURU (Reuters) - Facebook Inc Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg and his wife said on Tuesday they will give away 99 percent of their Facebook shares, currently worth about $45 billion, to a new charity in a letter addressed to their daughter, Max, who was born last week. The plan mirrors a move by other high-profile billionaires like Warren Buffett and Bill and Melinda Gates, who have pledged and set up foundations to give away their fortunes to charity. On his Facebook page, Zuckerberg posted a photo of himself, his wife, Priscilla Chan and their new daughter, Max, along with a post entitled 'A letter to our daughter.' In the 2,220-word letter, Zuckerberg and Chan touched on issues including health, education, Internet access and learning before announcing the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, which aims to "advance human potential and promote equality." Zuckerberg, 31, and Chan said they plan to give away 99 percent of their Facebook shares over their lifetimes to advance the initiative, which was formed as a limited liability company controlled by the two.

The right word used in such occasions is 'political vendetta' ! :)

[h=3]Chidambaram dubs raids on firms linked to Karti as 'malicious onslaught'[/h]New Delhi, Dec. 1 (ANI): Former union minister P. Chidambaram has dubbed the raids conducted on two firms in Chennai, one of which had links to his son Karti Chidambaram, as a ‘malicious onslaught’ launched by the BJP-led NDA Government. “I am traveling and I have been informed about searches conducted on certain firms in Çhennai allegedly linked to my son. If the government wishes to target me, they should do so directly, not harass friends of my son who carry on their own businesses and have nothing to do with politics,” said Chidambaram in a statement.

Warm countries launch Sun-energy alliance

India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched in Paris an alliance of 121 sun-drenched countries, rich and poor, to dramatically boost the use of solar power. The alliance issued a declaration vowing to mobilise more than $1 trillion (940 million euros) in investment by 2030 for the "massive deployment" of affordable solar power. Modi, speaking on the sidelines of a 195-nation United Nations climate summit in Paris, said the Sun could help move the world to a safer path.
