I make it a point to talk to my grand kids in ONLY Tamil so that
slowly they will pick up the words and understand and respond in Tamil.
Today VaruN was looking very cute with hair combed neatly and wearing a new dress.
I complimented him on his looks and he replied with a loud and clear "Thank you!"
Children understand much more than what we are willing to give them credit for!:thumb:

Dear VR ji,

I was never a fan of MGR at all!

Did not like any of his movies.

When I was young I liked Kamal's movies more than Rajini cos Rajini's movie had too much fight scenes..then as I grew older I started liking Rajini's movies more cos the story became more fun and entertaining.

Then Kamal's movies started a trend of too much emphasis of kissing etc..makes one uncomfortable to watch with parents.

Then as I grew older I like Shah Rukh Khan cos his movies are very decent with no nonsense..except for Maya Memsaab which he himself regrets doing that movie other movies have been great and truly decent.

So its Rajini and SRK for me!

I think you are concurring with my views that talent and popularity do not go hand in hand.
Any day Sivaji Ganesan was a better actor than MGR but who was more popular with the masses?
The same thing with Kamal and Rajini. Kamal tries to be perfect but people love whatever Rajini does!
May be I can add that Aamir khan may be more talented but it is SRK who is more popular! :thumb:
