A honest and genuine doubt!!!
Are we not supposed to travel some distance
between the starting point and the end point???
If they both are one and the same then
the journey undertaken is virtual one.
Well that explains why some threads never take off!

I have a different take. It is like journey at North pole. You walk in any direction(except south of course) you will arrive at the same place, collecting only exhaustion. Most of the threads that never take off as also those just shoot into the space to burn itself and fall on the earth in the form of debris belong to the same category.

Let us explore the possibility of your take now.
1. WALK in the north pole??? :smow:

2. Walk in any direction except SOUTH???

(Then we have to walk in air vertically up
which will again be a virtual journey.)

3. Naturally IF we climb higher and higher
and eventually fall down thud,
we will land exactly in the same spot
since it will be a vertical fall.

4. Collecting exhaustion is too mild an expression!
In all probability we will have locate and collect
the broken pieces of our frozen hind quarters
meticulously - hoping that some doctor will be
able to put them back together some day.

5. The threads which NEVER take off may be already debris.
That may be the reason why they can't take off.
What was debris before becomes trash or ash later -
depending on the height of free fall and eventually
fall on the head of the unfortunate person
who tried in vain to put it in an orbit. :tsk:

serious thinking after a long long time!

May be our paths should cross more often

If the gender of the writer can be found out with 100% accuracy

just by looking at the hand writing

why NOT it be found out from the style of writing and

the sensitivity displaced in the writeup???

Good to note that people DO think on something after all!!!

But I bet they can never guess the correct age of the writer.

So the forum will become flooded with flirtini

if the old mam manages to project an image

of a pretty young damsel in distress! :rolleyes:

A person may compete and conquer in national level

and yet be as blind as a bat to the simple truths

Sure I can see them passing through all the colors of the spectrum

starting with red and go to violet through the rest of the colors.

But making them colorful is not my idea in posting this. :nono:
