I had given two pairs of gold ear rings for polishing (Merugu)
The jeweller was interested in its intricate design and workmanship.
He told me that no one makes such good jewels anymore.
And they were hand crafted nearly 50 years ago.
Now everything is machine cut.
Naturly a Machine can never compete with man in his intricate handwork.
Old is gold. Old gold is even more golden!! :)

I can't remember the exact saying - no ornament can add to the beauty of our women; conversely, our women add beauty and value to the ornaments. bharath naris reign supreme.

I do not agree..I feel Indian married women from India need to tone down their garish choice of ornaments.

Some have dangling ear rings..then nose studs..more than one gold chain on neck..then do not forget bangles and rings.

One can easily make out an Indian citizen here if one attends a wedding! Its just an overload of gold!LOL

My God..they would make perfect lightning conductors!

I wonder what is the obsession with ornaments!

Ladies feel confident about themselves only when they are decked like that.

Those who shun ornaments are those who have their own sense of worth and can stand up for their rights and fight for them


if any lady disdains gold or diamond generally. they are dropped out of ladies circle as they can find men admirers based on their own worth without gold or diamond

and are unequal competitions for other ladies

I remember when I was young ..my mum would put a gold chain for me..I would take it out and throw it under the sofa..my poor mum used to be searching for it high and low.

Then as I grew older I would take it out and put it on the table.

My mum used to scold me saying that "you do not seem to know the value of gold"

I used to tell her.."Its just metal".

But that did not go too well with her and she used to tell me"this is what happens when you give a flower to a monkey"LOL
 
This story is more relevant. A chemistry class was in full swing and the professor was explaining a complex reaction to spell bound students. A tightly dressed young thing walked in with a seductive swing. All the boys forgot chemistry and wowed in unison. The prof to belittle the behaviour of the students said - what is there in that girl's body; it is 99% water. And the chorus reply was - what a difference that 1% makes.

Proff was almost Bhajo Govindam in his reply.

He chose to say a body is mainly water and Adi Shnakara chose to say its a conglomerate of flesh and bones.

That explains why some women can never belong to any women's group.
They feel as out of place with the other ladies as the other ladies also do.
Their place is with the brainy, logical, rational, intellectual men! :)

That means these women end up alone cos do such men exists?LOL

VR ji..brainy,logical,rational and intellectual people of any kind can be downright boring!

One should have all the above qualities and yet know how to serve his/her Flirtini well.
 
Dear VR ji,

I will tell you a story..when I got engaged to my husband he asked my father permission to take me out for dinner.

So we both went to pizza hut and I felt my husband was being very formal as trying to impress me.

Then he asked me what movies I like...for example what I thought about Oscar winning movies.

I told him I like Tamil movies especially with Senthil and Goundamani!

Then my husband started laughing non stop and he told me 'Ok I can relax now cos I thought you would have liked only Oscar wining movies and I too like Senthil and Goundamani movies"

So our next outing was a Senthil Goundamani movie.

Goundamnai and Senthil comedy was better than
the present days' shouting and beating in the name of comedy!
I like Tangavelu and Chandra Babu even better!

No no no Men and intellect no way.
such no ornament women are preferred as they are also fun loving and men like ladies who can stand up confidently and act more equal than men.
men would follow such ladies to end of this world
 
Dear Krish ji,

I have noted a new breed of women who try to hard to project a woman of substance image.

I dont know why they just cant relax and be normal.

I once attended a medical meeting at a private hospital where the Hospital Director was a female who was not a doctor.

She had some degree in Management.

She seemed kind of serious and she came up to many to say something during tea break.

You see when we attend such meetings we do not really want to chat up with people about serious stuff and this female was bugging everyone promoting the hospital.

When she came up to me she handed me her business card and I took it..looked at it and said thank you and put it in my purse and I just spoke some regular stuff and not any boring stuff.

She became surprised and told me 'Do you know that I am the Hospital Director?"

I said "yup..it was stated on the card"

Then she walked away.

I saw her handing over her card to another female doc and that doc looked at the card and said "Oh..wow..you are the Director..a top position..tell me about it"

The Hospital Director was beaming and smiling and spoke non stop to the other doctor.

You see she wanted me to go GOO GOO GAA GAA about her!LOL

So you see this is what I call trying too hard.

They can not believe that they are in such a position and want to project a woman of substance.

This is what I call boring..real boring..if I were a male..such females will never be in my harem!LOL
