Government to label acid attacks as 'heinous crime'

The rising menace of acid attacks on women has prompted the Centre to categorise it as a heinous crime. According to the Criminal Law (Amendment) Act of 2013, a person convicted for acid attack can be sentenced to imprisonment for ten years or life.

My Sewing class teacher used to condense high philosophy in her ordinary words.

All the items had to be stiched on an old saree or dhoti starched and made stiff. There was no telling what the final product will look like when stiched by those novices.

Some of the students will put multiple and very close stiches on the dress so much so that the cloth may at times get torn.

So my teacher would say,

"Battalu balangaa unte kuttu vidip poththathi"
(If the cloth is stronger then the stitches will give way!)

"kuttu balangaa unte battalu vidip poththathi"
(If the stitches are stonger then the cloth will get torn!)

So whenever some relationship snaps we will know
which was stronger... the EGO or the Bondage!!! :(

In layman's language it is stated simply stated as
"When/ where Love is thin... faults are thick!"

While oldies like me and a few others stick to the Maargazhi maasa poojaa as a vratam.

Some of those who perform the poojaa can't care less about it. They pay the assigned amount to the priest for bringing everything needed for the poojaa - inclusing the neivedhyams.

They do not show up even on the day of their poojaa for sankalpam, aarthi or prasaadam distribution.

WHAT is the use of this kind of poojaa with neither bakthi nor sradhdha and not even common courtesy to the priest and the others who attend their pooja ???

There have been three cases of cars run into a crowd of christmas shoppers in france with 'religion of peace gosham' and one such case in UK without gosham. UK authorities are treating this accident. Hope they investigate and get to the bottom of the similarity of events/accidents.

[h=3]'Today's youth not proud of Indian culture'[/h]The ancient Nalanda University was instrumental in propagating Indian culture and traditions.
