Think or sink!

......... Thalassemia produces a yellowish pale color and Pandu was known to be yellowish pale!

So what is it now?

Info on Thalassemia:

  • Thalassemia occurs when the red cells can't mature and grow properly. Thalassemia is an inherited condition that typically affects people of Mediterranean, African, Middle Eastern, and Southeast Asian descent. This condition can range in severity from mild to life-threatening; the most severe form is called Cooley's anemia.
Dear Renu,
That is the point ! :fish2:
We non-medicos call Pandu's disease as 'Anemia'! :decision:

Dear Sis,

I spoke to my friend who has heard many of the discourses on Mahabharat.

Pandu was not a rOhi and is supposed to be a handsome person.

No one calls a person with vitiligo as handsome! :nono:

I brought this issue because you may need to correct your blog. :typing:

One man had a winning way with all kinds of women he came across.
His advances never ever failed!
His formula as disclosed to his close friend was
"Treat a lady like a chamber-maid and
treat a chamber-maid like a lady!"
Giving them a suprise and treatment not known to them
was the root cause of his success!!
Have you read Lady Chatterly Lover-a novel depicting passion of a lady for gamekeeper.widely acclaimed

Dear Raji,
I only wrote Pandu was pale in color. Not that he was a rogi or suffered from Anemia or vitiligo.
My blog is based on the authentic translation of VyAsA'a work . So I don't think I have to change my poem to make Pandu look normal in complexion.

A pathetic man suffering from Vitiligo.

You enjoy those descriptions demeaning our sages who had powers in abundance! :dizzy:

Does வெண்குஷ்டம் mean pale color?

Please Google search for images of

Passionate love stories do not interest me!

Dear VR ji,

I too dislike passionate love stories!

I prefer no nonsense..no romance...straight to the point hard core scandalous and dangerous liaisons where the bimbo ends up dead and the killer keeps wanting MORE and MORE...a bloody lusty game where no one can win!

Today was the power cut day from 9 A.M till now. I refered to my books since I had nothing better to do.

It is clearly stated that Vyasa cursed the elder queen to beget a blind son because she covered her eyes during the union.

He cuersed the younger queen to beget a son with வெண்குஷ்டம் since she became pale with fear and shame.

The chedi on the other hand was very happy and felt honored to unite with the sage.

He blessed her to beget a very just, wise and famous son.

Yama was born as her son Vidura due to a curse he had incurred earlier.

ஒரு பணிப் பெண்ணின் மகன் ஆனான்;

VIDURA NEEDHI.

MAndavyar was a sage living in an ashram far from the maddening crowd. His entire life was devoted to penance and spiritual sAdhanA.

On one occasion a gang of thieves hid their loot in the ashram and hid themselves also there. The king’s soldiers who had followed them traced them out of the ashram with the hidden loot. When questioned the sage who was in deep meditation did not reply.

The soldiers thought that he was the chief of the thieves pretending to be innocent. They arrested him along with the thieves. The king hastily pronounced that all of them should be impaled.

The sage remained alive even after all the thieves had died, since he was in deep meditation. The king got frightened, rushed to his side, released him and begged for his pardon.

The sage did not hold the king responsible for this act and went straight to Darma Rajan.and demanded,”What have I done to deserve such a punishment?”

The Dharma Devan replied politely, “Sire! when you were a child, you used to pierce beetles and birds with kusa grass. That was the cause of this punishment.”

Sage flew into a temper! “Such a severe punishment for a crime I had committed as an innocent and ignorant child?

I curse you to be born on the earth as a sUdrA and live for a hundred years there!”

Dharma Devan was born as Vidhura, the son of a servant maid of AmbalikA. He remembered all the Dharma sAsthrAs and became famous for Vidhura needhi-the Justice of Vidhuran.

Love liberates. ( look at all the gnaanais who love humanity uniformly)

Passion binds. ( look at all the possessive spouses who add spice to their lives)

Affection afflicts!!! ( look at all the parents who remote control thier children life-long)

The fourth week of every month is full of suspense and surprises. The power may go off on any day for 9+ hours!

I got caught unawares today. The laptop had only the minimum charge.

The wifi router has stopped working ten days ago. I postponed the visit to the P.C doc in spite of devloping the famous anaconda-ankles by sitting upright and typing in the desk top.

Today I realized the real mening of the old adage
"Naayaik kandaal kalliak kanOm..."

The only S.O.S outlet in the hall can support EITHER the modem OR the desk top and NOT both of them!

So enforced vecation for me today.

I could re-design and remake some of my crystal maalaas since I got bored doing NOTHING!!!

I wear them to the temple everyday. High time too to make some interesting changes! :)
