Think or sink!

........ Isn't there a way to cure this genetic problem of non-stop-eating???
There must be some treatment, if the person is ready to shell out money in lakhs!

BTW, some persons opt to cut off half of their small intestine so that they will not gain wait by eating!!

Also, there is a treatment of fixing a balloon inside the stomach to 'feel' full after eating very little!

About Bariatric Surgery

Bariatric surgery had its beginnings in the 1960s, when doctors first noticed that people who had portions of their

stomach or intestines removed due to ulcers or cancer tended to lose a lot of weight after surgery, regardless of

what they ate.

Doctors soon realized why: Not only could a smaller stomach hold less food at one time, but a shorter intestine

couldn't absorb as many calories and nutrients for the body to use.

Dear VR ji,

This father loves his children..he did say that he is afraid his children will eventually die cos of the disease.

They are not bottomless stomachs..they are children with a disease.

Dear Renu,

I am still surprised how he went on to have three kids after noticing that

the first as well the second child had some serious abnormalities!

Parents must make proper decisions since they as well as their children will suffer otherwise.

Dear Renu,
No harm meant to the children of their loving dad.
In fact all of us have bottomless stomach since
the bottom has an opening which
luckily remains closed most of the time!
In Tirumanthiram the intestines are describes as those which are always filled with feces.
Sound very nasty but it is very true!
Have an enema and it will be two days before anything comes out of the body
since it has fill up the entire passage before it can get pushed out.
It is more or less like the water heater or the geyser we use.
Only the inflow of water can set up an overflow or cause an out flow!

I once read the word Bariatric surgery in a news item as Barbaric surgery! :scared:

It was done to reduce the weight of a man to one fourth of his current weight of 600 lbs! :faint:

Young girls eat cotton balls dipped in tomato sauce(!)
to fill the stomach without getting any calories. :yuck:

What will happen if the stomach churns the cotton
and weaves the yarn thus produced!!!

I firmly believe that being healthy and cheerful is
more important than being thin, hungry and angry!

There is something called metabolism and it differs for each and every individual.

Some foodies are blessed with no-weight-gain metabolism and enjoy eating whatever they want to and stay thin!

I know a few wolves in human form (Vrugodara).
They eat unlimited food which never shows
either in their form or shape or weight.
Lucky plucky blighters!!!
Some have metabolism and others have kettabolism!

Why are pitru karmas called as Sraardham?

People used to perform them with great Sradhdha
and they came to be known as Sraardha Kaaryam.

Now people perform them as a Karmam since
their attitude has change to "Karmaame!" :(

Sraardham with homam has become srardham without homam! :flame:

Feeding the brahmins has been replaced by HiraNya sraardham and

giving away swamyam baagam in the form of raw rice, raw banana and a coconut!

Morning coffee is a must both for the karthaa and the vaadhyar. :tea:

Some may even eat light B/F or something equivalent to keep the hunger at bay.

Everybody has to take some medication or the other! Right???

Nine yards sari has been replaced by 6 yards sari and that too

may become chudidars in the near future.

After all a 9 yards sari looks like a chudhidar. So why not a real chudidhar?

The pancha kachcham had become the tattu sutthu veshti. It won't become the

inconvenient pants but might become the convenient kurta pyjama.

Everything is changing. So why NOT these Sraardha karmaas???

Malarum ninaivugal.....

Reminds me of the days when I dared to dance with two sisters (both younger than my own sons) to the non-stop 25 minutes-long Siva Leelaa Vilaasam, set to Chitti Babu's veena music and managed to steal the show as the tumultuous and destructive Ganga Devi who had to be on the stage from the very beginning to the very end of the music!
Enjoy the dance by the delightful trio!
Youth has beauty and charm but the old age has the grace and charm!

The original dance drama Siva Leelaa Vilasam was performed by three of us
with Mrs. Raji Ram as Gowri, Mrs. Sheela as Siva and me as Ganga.

The group broke up since they both shifted to Chennai.
But the demand for the dance drama continued unabated.

So I trained the two young girls for the parts of
Gowri (the elder and shorter sister)
and Siva (the younger and taller sister)

I think that was the golden period in my life.

I could do three complete rehearsals continuously
dancing for about one and half hours non stop! :thumb:

Yes Raji!
Yaanikkum adi charukkum!
Enakkum charukki vittathu! :(
It makes better sense since Sraddha can only become Sraaddham!
I got misled by reading the Tamil siraarththam and never paused to question its authenticity! :tsk:

Arunan does not need feet to drive the chariot of Sun God!

A lovely lass does not need either crane's legs or stork's legs for promoting lingerie.

Who would believe that one need not even get up from the seat
and can still present a mesmerizing dance?

The "Nataraja dance" dramatized by the two lovely, lean, and
most synchronized dancers I have seen till now.

They do not gyrate but the wheel in which they remain seated
does gyrate and that too non-stop! :dizzy:

I thunk and thunk and thunk ALL DAY LONG!

I found a place which people visit and leave without leaving a trace.

AND IT IS NOT VERY FLATTERING! :nono:

Foot note.

'Sink'kukku 'Sunk' endraal 'Think'kukku 'Thunk" thaane!

Wish you and your family a very happy Deepavali. Wishing you all the best in the world.

My dear real-life-Krishna never fails me! :)
Thank God for that and thank you sir! :pray2:

I understand people NOT wishing to get into an argument WITH ME!

But what stops people even from reciprocating greetings and good wishes still beats me!

Either they do not want to reciprocate or they do not wish to communicate ! :(

I am starting to dislike any festivity.

I see year in and year out my mother is getting older yet she refuses help for cooking and cleaning.

Then doing all the extra work for any festivity the next day she ends up sick and weak. I have to keep a close watch on her and yet she does not take my advise to allow others to help her cook and clean.

That is why I told everyone this year that festivities should not be a day where mother remains stubborn and wants to cook and clean..so better not come to the house so that she gets enough rest.

I really made sure she did not cook or clean as much cos year in a year out she falls sick after Diwali.

I told my dad that we are old enough to know the festivities are just another day like any other day and nothing to get too excited about.

I am started the dread any festival..thank god Diwali is done with.
