In fact they may be so long that by the time the tail end of the bananana

But I just realized that it works alright to some extent.

But when the matter keeps complaining and grumbling

and the mind keeps ignoring it, things start piling up.

Once the breaking point is reached it will become a deluge

similar to the one witnessed by us in Chennai in December 2015.

Nothing and nobody could contain the outbreak!

It will be pure wisdom to know the safe limit and say,

In practical living,It is difficult to pinpoint peak of achievement.

Like in share market we cannot assess when a share reaches its peak.

When we err upto 10% it is considered good judgement.

Similarly backing off when we feel we are near the top , by subjective assessment, we need to back off.

Always be prepared to write off upto 10 % in every thing we do.

I retired when I had 10% career left.

I escaped with all my limbs intact.

I realised most end up with a medical condition in last 2-3 years of work life.

They are normally the most stressful.

Never collect the last penny in any deal.

But the problem is that women DO NOT have an age of retirement.

So no one knows what will be the 10% of an unknown period of service!

And women like me are expected to serve with a smile until we drop down!

But the problem is that women DO NOT have an age of retirement.

So no one knows what will be the 10% of an unknown period of service!

And women like me are expected to serve with a smile until we drop down!

One does not have to be a door mat serving only others all the time when they do not appreciate us.

I saw one tamil film 36 on TV where jyothika playing a conventional wife and mother feels her services are not appreciated and takes to Organic farming growing

vegetables with other women to assert her identity. One needs to primarily live for oneself. Only then the world respects the person.

I saw that movie too but didn't really enjoy it as much becos I feel such movies give Indian women the wrong idea that to succeed in life one needs to defy the importance of family/husband/values etc.It only increases one's ego.

These movies only create the wrong mindset that in order to be a woman of substance one needs to start acting smart with family..there is no co-operation between husband and wife and also these movies keep harping on the gender imbalance of women in power!

What does it matter who is the President or PM or scientist or even a criminal for the matter..does gender really make a difference? As long someone gets the work done..that should suffice..be it male or female or transgender.

At the end of the day I am 100% sure deep down inside each female her home is the place she can really call her own.

Once I reach home its so hard for me to even come to work on Mondays cos being at home is always more fun.

BTW Women of Substance forget that playing too much incharge they end up not enjoying life!

One might aspire for a sweet and peaceful home but one does not compromise self respect and dignity for it.

Of course if deep down you know you are superior to your man , you might tolerate and put on an act of submissive wife to get pampered and loved more.

IT IS NOT that a man does not know the importance of the part played by the woman in the house- who has become a part of the background and does her duties silently, swiftly and efficiently.

The man is afraid to recognize/ appreciate her services since he fears that she may start getting ideas of her own when being praised or appreciated.

Women never lacked ideas. They just play dumb, deaf and in part a jadam to have some peace and harmony in the house.

If the wife shows that she knows that he smokes secretly, he will stop smoking secretly and start smoking in the sitting room - rendering the entire family secondary or passive smokers! :smokin:

The same thing with drinks. Is she shows that she knows, then the house will be come a bar!

It pays in the long run to play deaf, dumb and jadam so that the children will be screened from the bad influence projected in their own homes and living rooms.

So it is a case of doing the duties unappreciated or doing the duties facing the music in addition to it.

Indian males are the spoiled lot. They just get everything done by ranting raving and whining!

I could use some help or have some chores taken off my shoulders.
Of late, I find the household chores oppressive and depressing.
Surely I am not born to do these and die in that process!
I just want to read/ write and lose myself in doing these.
If wishes were a horse, a lame could fly!
If money is not there, we can earn it.
If compassion is not there, where can we buy it???

Dr. Renu is right! Most men like the clinging (creepy?) type of woman
who makes her man feel very important and indispensable in her life.

Men fear/ suspect/ hate women who are intelligent and independent.

In other words, the bold and the beautiful are given a hard time while the
dumb and depending dame is pampered - even if she were ONLY acting! :drama:

Once my very intelligent B.I.L. told me this.

Its not about gender discrimination but its about who is better suited for the job.

I remember when I used to work in the government hospital...a male doc friend of mine was very good in orthopedic accident cases but he used to depend on me for Ultrasound cases and he was not too fond of autopsies.

In district hospital we have to manage all type of cases.

So I used to make a deal with him that is I would help out his ultrasounds and autopsies and he takes over my orthopedic cases and we should be willing to help each other out even though we might be off duty.

I felt as a male he was better equipped to handle severe accident orthopedic cases and I was better off handling dead patients in the morgue!

Each one of us have our strength and weaknesses and acknowledging the strength and weakness of each gender goes a long way.

I do not see co-operation between males and females as a sign of weakness or not having self worth..that is how life is meant to be.

I can safely say that I am very dependent on my husband emotionally and that is my strength.

I function better when I know there is someone there for me...it does not make me weaker in anyway...in fact I actually end up being more capable when I know there is some form of back up for me.

Most of the time we kid ourselves trying to prove one gender is better than the other..no one is better than the other..each one is equipped with certain strength and weakness and are co-dependent for better functioning.

In practical terms , freely giving space to another in some areas in return for ones freedom and convenience in some specialised fields is tried in work spaces in

offices.Not many have succesfully practiced give and take to full satisfaction. thats because one is fearful whether the other will keep the terms of exchange of work based on each others

capability and interest.One is always tempted to criticize the others work due to lack of control over the other. Most women than men are control freaks.They want to
