Think or sink!

The fifth and last Friday of Thai month is today.

As promised I made and took three different prasadams.

Sweet pongal, cocnonut rice and curds rice.

The attendance was three times the usual size.

So all is well that ends well - until the Fridays of the month Aadi!

I am still looking for the time I must be saving by not going for the morning walks.

I can't see it anywhere and do not know how and where to find it. :(

Nature abhors vacuum of all sorts - even in Time in addition to Space! :clock:

Have you ever wondered why the creepers are called creepers?

They have this creepy tendency to creep along horizontally covering all the available space

rather than grow vertically with or without the support of another plant or tree.

On a water body, they would cover the entire surface like green carpet.

On land they speed to spread in all the eight directions.

What happens to a person who bites off more than he can chew???

In all probability he will choke - though it need not become fatal!
It is sometimes fatal too! :sad:

Gori-Guru-Garu??? :rolleyes:
Gori = the fair one
Guru = the teacher
Garu = the suffix showing respect! :)
"The fair one who teaches the teacher".
Gori-Guru-Garu means 'The fair one who is the teacher', right?

Searching the web I came across the best Yahoo answer:

''Guru is a term and is not not gender specific. A learned person having immense knowledge in a field is termed/called Guru,

and it can be either a male or female.

However, in Hindi, learned men in sanskrit language or religion are called Guruji and women called Guru-ma''.

P.S: There is one 'karasAra vivAdham' in this page:
guru :argue:

I like happy people around - even if it means they are
TRYING to laugh at me instead laughing along with me.

Now can anyone answer the following questions?

1. I can't write in a thread unless I also read it!
Then HOW is that I am NOT supposed to be reading this thread?

2. Replying to comment or ignoring it is my personal choice.
Does that mean that I am not reading this thread?

3. A woman becomes a wife ONLY after a man marries her.
THEN how can a man ask his wife to marry him?

3. Why is a compliment always misunderstood- even when genuine and given in admiration

Let us settle for the title 'Gori Guru Ma' for anyone willing to accept it with pride and joy!

STAND UP ALL THE FEMALE MEMBERS OF THE FORUM AND CLAIM THE TITLE! :welcome:

For teaching one need not talk nor preach nor lecture nor even open the mouth.

We know the best Guru in the world is the Siva Yuva Guru who is also a Mouna Guru! :hail:

# 16. வேதங்களுக்குப் பொருள் உரைத்தது.

# 16 (a). யுவகுரு வடிவம் எடுத்தது.

வேதங்களைப் பாராயணம் செய்து வந்தனர் முனிவர்கள்;

அரும் தவ சீலர் வந்தார் ஒருவர், அரபத்தர் என்பவர்;

“வேதங்களை உலகிற்கு அருளியவன் நம் சிவன்;
வேதப் பொருளை உமக்கு உரைக்க வல்லவன் அவன்;

தத்துவ அறிவுக்கு உகந்த நகரம் மதுராபுரியே;
உத்தமமான த்வாதசாந்த க்ஷேத்ரம் அதுவே;

மறை முனிவர்கள் சென்றடைந்தனர் மதுராபுரி;

யுவனாகத் தோற்றம், மௌனமே பேசும் மொழி;

மேதா மந்திரத்தை விடாது ஓதலாயினர் ;

My answers:
1. One can follow someone in particular and read ONLY the relevant posts! :ranger:

2. Many read a thread (saying that they are NOT interested! :becky:) and :tape:.

'maunam kalaka nAsthi'!

3. I wonder who would have said so!!

4. If some compliment is given to me I am :happy: .

I still remember the friend who bestowed five stars to some threads started by me in Literature forum.

I had only one in the beginning.

My students refer to me as 'Music Maam' ( M M for R R )

One grandpa of my kutty students fondly calls me 'Teacher'! :cool:

P.S: Wonder whether GOri will suit me! ;)

NoNdi kuthiraikkuch chaRukkinthu chakku!

I witness this everyday and all the time.

On the pretext of being not able to hear clearly men make women do all the talking on phone and in

person and get their things done - without a quiver of their lips.

But how is that this does no affect the hour long conversation on phone with their siblings? :gossip:

The Real Guru Ma is arriving in Cool Coimbatore this weekend.

I can imagine the rush to meet her and be hugged by her!

She has Amirtham in her name and gives Aanandham to everyone

and she is the universal mother for her ardent devotees.

I remember how the first words spoken by my first grandson was "Amirtha! Amirtha!"

He has a pale coloration on his forehead which usually comes to people who wear sandal paste or

poundrakam vertically over a very long period.

(1). Whether or NOT a post is relevant will be known ONLY after reading it!

(2). True! The word is full of hypocrites and liars. :lie:

(3). Apparently Winston Churchill said this - as seen in the one of the posts you liked so much.

Yes! I too remember the good friend who was given the specific instructions as to how to rate a

thread and he wanted to get even with someone else with this new found knowledge! :)

Siblings are VERY different!

Some siblings talk at the same time without listening to what the other says!! :becky:

When two brothers - both with difficulty in hearing - talk on phone,
they don't listen (or can't listen) to what the other says!
But if the speaker is ON, everyone else can hear everything being said! :rolleyes:

When the hearing aid is prescribed for constant use (except while bathing and sleeping)

a person must listen to the good ADVISE and follow the instructions.

Four years of negligence has made the ears of these two brothers worsen steadily.

If the hearing aid is NOT in the right position it starts making an eerie noise as if from the outer

space. So a cast was made with the help of a mound to keep it in the right position.

Now the cast has been stored away along with the hearing aid! :doh:

What will be the use of these when the ability to hear is switched off completely? :frusty:

I told the son in law of one of these brothers,

"If ever you doubted about the power of telepathy,
just watch those two! brothers converse for so long !
Surely it can be only in telepathy!" :rolleyes:

Deaf people exasperate us two different ways...

1. By making us shout from the lower abdomen to be heard by them!
2. By talking so loudly and so suddenly that we shiver with an icy lower abdomen!
