Think or sink!

People who pass away often return to the same household to be born there once again!

A story to this effect is very famous.

A sanyasi mahatma offered to teach a rich gentleman how to try to obtain liberation.

But this man was vry much attached to his family and refused to go with the mahatma.

After sometime, the rich man died and was born in the same household as a male calf.

It grew up to become a sturdy ox and worked hard for the family day and night.

The same sanyasi walked past again and recognized the soul of the richman in the ox.

He offered again to help it obtain mukti and the ox refused again.

The sanyasi went away silently.

After many years the ox died and was born again as a dog in the same family.

It guarded the house and the people living in it very well.

Time rolled by and the same sanyasi walked past again.

He recognised the soul of the rich man in the dog an offered to help it to obtain mukti.

The dog refused to go with the sanyasi as it was still very much attached to the members of the family.

The dog died and was born as a snake in the same household.

This time the embers of the household were scared of the snake and killed it promptly.

The sanyasi walked past and renewed his offer for helping to obtain mukthi.

After being killed by the same persons for whom he had worked as an ox and a dog,

the rich man finally understood the truth and the myth and about life and death.

The soul quietly accompanied the sanayasin this time seeking to be liberated once for all.

People often plant tress without hoping to enjoy their fruits.
The same thing is true of many other things.
We do too many things without hoping to get anything back.
So it becomes like the teaching of Bhagavat Gita which says,
"Do your duty without hoping for any returns!"

Whenever I come out of my Home sweet home, I feel transported to a different world!

The past seven days seem to be as long as seven months!

I must have exhausted my one year quota of taking! :blabla:

which is usually only 3 or 4 sentences per day!

I must have consumed my one month's quota of sugar and salt! :(

Can you guess who dared to give us (me and my husband) a bear hug

and made it look and feel as natural our own sons hugging us?

We long to get out of home and have adventures when we are confined to our house.

We want to go back to the home sweet home (where everything seems to be under our control) when we come out of it.

In short we always look forward to what we do not have or what we cannot do!

One of my dear persons has the habit of eating just enough food, irrespective of the items prepared! :hungry:

Three table spoons of rice in total for the three courses, vegetables and curd are his intake for lunch.

He says we need ONLY that much food.
One need not worry about eating a month's quota of sugar and salt in one week, if one follows him!

It is NOT because of the huge amount of food consumed by me dear Mrs. Raji Ram. :yo:

It is because of the large amount of salt and sugar added to the food and

coffee - despite telling them that I take sugar-free-coffee and low-salt-diet

before every meal and coffee!

They do not allow others to enter their kingdom namely modular kitchen!

That means I can't prepare my own cup of coffee or salad.

I may be a 'loose' in talking according to some people, but I do not overeat.

I know it is not good either for my figure or my blood sugar!

P.S.

I know 'the friend ' you are talking about.

He is also my friend for the very same reasons.

The calories one needs during a day depends on many factors like one's

lifestyle and the amount or productive and non productive work one does!

Some people survive on three table spoonful of cooked rice per meal.

Some others on two idlies each made with one table spoonful of batter.

The human Barbies claim to live solely on Solar energy and water -

very much like the plants and creepers.

Yet some others need to build a dam of rice across the reservoir of sambar

or dig a deep well in the mountain of cooked rice for pouring the sambar.

If generalization DOES NOT work in any field of human activity,

it is in the eating/ drinking/ burping and other associated habits.

பெயக் கண்டும் நஞ்சு உண்டு அமைவர் நயத்தக்க

நாகரிகம் வேண்டுபவர்

Culture and etiquette demand us NOT to complain about the food to the host.

Even otherwise I do not complain nor encourage people who are always complaining!

When we have a meal with a different family everyday for about 10 days continuously,

this is bound to happen since they cook for the entire family and not just for me.

I know WHAT will be the next piece of precious advice! :blabla:

"People who are so fussy about their food SHOULD NOT travel at all

and even if they travel, they should not eat in other people's houses!"

We usually buy and take for people things which we ourselves like very much - especially the eatables.

Usually those who buy costly eatable for the others DO NOT buy it for themselves.

I always open the packets when the guests are with us. So it will be an occasion to show our appreciation and also give them a chance to taste their choicest perpetration - which they have brought and bought for us.

But I also find that many of the relatives WILL NOT open these packets
as along as the guests are staying with them.

So they make it a point to open after the guests leave their house.

So much for caring and sharing!

....... But I also find that many of the relatives WILL NOT open these packets
as along as the guests are staying with them.............
Moral: When a dear person gives some delightful sweet for a special occasion, don't give to such persons! :hungry:

P.S: Of course, I shared 'those' sweets with some new friends too! :)

I was talking about the stuff I paid for and bought for some others

and not about the stuff someone else had bought and brought for me!

I shared that sweet with everyone I met giving them an equally sweet news!

For me sharing comes more naturally than

hoarding and eating "aakaasam kaaNaamal uNbathu!"

Now I have to buy a packet in each of the stuff we bought for the others -
just to know what they taste like.

Most relatives are like Jersey Cows. They would give us plenty of milk
but not unmixed with an occasional kick on the face - when we least expect it!

People must remember that whatever whoever eats, becomes finally the same smelly product! :bolt:

Yet they show so much of differentiation when it comes to sharing food with the others!

I remember a story told by our yoga guru.

A man was asked to bring the filthiest thing found on earth!

He thunk and thunk ( the past tense of the word think of course)
and decided to take the feces of a human being as the filthiest of all things.

When he bent down to collect it, the feces spoke to him loud and clear!

"Please do not touch me! I was badam halwa before I got reduced to this smelly state due to the association of a man. If you touch me again, I can't imagine what I will be reduced to from this sad state!" :moony:

It is OK if people who are blessed with the boon of "no hunger" can survive on
half a slice of bread or a single pulka or 3 tablespoon of cooked rice a day -
as long as they do NOT expect everyone else to do the same!

Why do all the 'nadigai(s)' eventually end up to become 'thadigai(s)'?

They train their body to survive on next-to-nothing in the form of food/ drink.

Once they do not need to maintain their figure (i.e once they lose their stardom) they revert to normal eating and start ballooning!

The body kept on starvation level for so long tries to save all the extra calories in the new diet scheme - wherever possible on the body - as Fixed Deposits for future emergencies and possible starving!

No human is 100% ! :nono:

I know whom you mean by the Jersey cow! ;)

P.S: If some persons invite us to stay for a couple of days with them, they are NOT really serious! :becky:

LOL!

What type of Cow gives milk but kicks like a Donkey?LOL

http://www.theprairiehomestead.com/2014/04/stop-milk-cow-kicking.html

Dear Renu,
A cow kicking the milkman must be quite common.

Otherwise someone would have spent time in thinking up
10 different ways of stopping the cow from kicking. :)

All mammals can kick - though the credit is given to donkey and the horse.

Man is most dangerous animal on earth.

He can kick, bite, scratch, box, pull, push and kill just for the thrill. :scared:

I think the difference considered while attributing the credit of kicking to the donkey may be this.

The donkey kicks first and then gives milk - if there is no way of escaping.

The cow gives milk first and kicks the man along with his pail of milk.

So which animal is more vicious though considered to be bovine and divine? :decision:

Thanks for the 'tip' about getting invited to stay with relatives and friends too (?) :lie:

Since I speak what is in my heart, I naturally ASSUME that the others do the same.

I never doubted your worldly wisdom and will remember this 'tip' for the rest of my life. :)

Majority of the problems in real life arise out of
the hypocrisy of one set of clever people and
the gullibility of the other set of simple people.

The first set DOES NOT mean what it says and DOES NOT say what it means.

The second set believes every single word and syllable it hears as being true.

As women shed their extra weight they also shed their

clothes/ inhibitions/ modesty and ****** too?

Only because all the bad habits are very costly and beyond
their reach, most of the people remain virtuous!

Is it equally true that all women ugly/bulging/monumental
remain virtuous ONLY because of their +++ size???
