Think or sink!

The sailor's total failure!

He was a real good sailor.
But his life was a total failure.

He was always sent on a sail;
In conjugal duties did he fail.

His poor wife yearned for his love,
Which burned her like a red hot stove.

Clever friends may usurp the wife
Of a dear friend and enjoy their life.

When there is no love in a marriage;
It may be found outside the marriage!

Who is to be blamed for this mutiny?
The Man, the Wife, the Lover or Destiny?

Foot notes:

(Some thoughts which occurred in my twilight region -
bordering between the states of deep sleep and wakefulness -
after reading about the movie based on a sensational murder)

Times are changing! When we were kids, we never had to get the approval from friends or relatives to visit them.

We can gate crash anytime and there will be a warm welcome with a smiling face! :)

Now, can we ever imagine doing so?

Just heard this in today's news.

A genius had bought 150 sovereigns of gold jewels
( 150 x 8 = 1200 grams @ 2500+ per gram)

Why do I call him as a Genius?
You will hear about it just now!

He had kept the jewels in an almarah!

He had kept the almarah in the bedroom with a balcony.

He had left the balcony doors open at night.

He was surprised that the jewels bought for the wedding of his niece two days from now have been stolen, when all the household members were sleeping right inside the house!

Additional incentives like whether the almarah door left unlocked / or the key was left in the key hole/ or a red carpet was spread in the balcony were not disclosed in the news!

Some people are truly threesome awesome!

This Little Cherub loves his I pad. It has become his constant companion...

on the dining table, in the living room and even when siting on his colorful

musical potty.

So he decided to take it with him to his bath tub too. After all he has dozens

of ducklings and other floating toys give him company during his bath.

When the warm water was ready for him in the tub, he dropped in his I pad

first. His alarmed parents took it out and dried it immediately before anything

bad can happen. The cherub is still wondering why his parents deny him his

most favorite TOY - I pad in the bath tub.

P.S.

The elder cherub managed to drench the lap top of his dad with a bottle of

lemonade...Not on purpose but by an accident.

It proved to be a very costly accident since his dad who fixed the laptop by

himself had to spend 500$!

Moral:

Electronic gadgets do not go very well with children + any liquid!

Also it helps to train the kids while still very young, to use these ONLY in a

restricted area and at a fixed time of the day!

As it is Tamil alphabets are far less than those in the other Indian languages.

Even those which exist are not poperly used by us.

It makes my flesh creep when I find these words in black and white

The combination of க் + ஷ = க்ஷ

But people continue to write

அக்ஷர as

லக்ஷ்மண் as

ஔவை as அவ்
வை

ரௌஸு as ரவுஸு

ரௌடி as ரவுடி

கௌபாய் as கவ்பாய்

P.S

The alphabets have reunited and re assembled after I had posted.

So I had to give extra spacing between the alphabets to keep them apart.

Isn't amazing that a person can get out of his/her good physical form
by taking a vacation for over a week. :couch2:

Eating without having to cook or wash the vessels is good but
it makes one unfit to work after the vacation!

Now I understand why my doctor father used to say that
doctors should not take long leave and be absent from their clinic.

He would say that the patients would discover that they would get well
as fast as without any treatment - as with their doctor's treatment!

Most of my holidays are for two or three days only! 'Virundhum marundhum mooNu nAL'!

But, when I go for some special occasion in the family, I have to do more work than I do at my sweet home! :becky:

We too did not stay for (or for more than) 3 days anywhere during our tour.

We visited three cities and ten different families during those ten days.

Small wonder we were treated like royalty - with a vahanam and a driver also provided for our personal use.

A honest and genuine doubt....

Do people STILL really put up with their guests for three long days in these days??? :decision:

My observation is this:

The First day will be full of glee.

On the Second day the face will resemble a tree. :ohwell:

Third day is the best time to bid farewell and flee. :bolt:

Fourth day might bring out the beasts hiding inside the beauties! :croc:

P.S:

Some people DO NOT know the difference between close relatives

who are spending money to visit them and the unpaid odd job helpers! :(

Becos you might actually be seeking some form of recognition!LOL
Dear Renu,

It takes long years to get such recognition. The family and friends trust a person ONLY then!! ;)

I have to share one important event at this juncture.

Our parents nurtured the helping nature in all of us - siblings. But, I was not taking the lead till my brother's wedding.

When something went wrong in the arrangements, my dad was upset and told me that I have to rise to the occasion

and organize. That was the turning point in my life. Year - 1979. :)

Dear RR ji,

Recognition from others at times can lead to disappointment and also elation..both I feel makes one dependent on views of others.

I feel its better to just execute what we have to do ..that should suffice.

RRJi is a usefull resource anywhere.

Even in this forum.

VRji become like her.

Dear Sir,

Each of us and everything in the world is useful in its special way.

We can't cut a pair of scissors with a cloth or cook inside a refrigerator.

There is no question of who or what is more important or less important.

Can we wear a crown on the foot or the slippers on the head?

If you find Smt. R. R's contribution to the forum is more valuable I am very happy to hear it. :)

However I shall continue to do what I can do best- irrespective of whether you find it useful or not.

No one wants to change ...not even to become a better person in another person's opinion!

கண்கள் மங்கி விட்டன; காதுகள் பஞ்சடைத்தன;

WHO IS MORE INDISPENSABLE?

This was the topic of discussion among all the different parts of a human body one fine day. No one knew the right answer and so they all started arguing among themselves.

The hands asked, “How will the body eat food without our help?”

The legs demanded to know, “How can the body move from to place without our assistance?

“We swallow the food and help in the digestion!” said the mouth, the teeth and the tongue.

“How will the body digest the food and assimilate it with our assistance?” demanded the stomach and the intestines.

The eye, the nose, the ear and each and every part of the body glorified itself as the most indispensable part of the human body. When no decision could be arrived at, all the parts went on an indefinite lightning strike.

Soon the whole body became very weak; the eyes became dull; the ears could not hear anymore as if they were stuffed with cotton; the voice won’t rise; the brain became dizzy.

Suddenly the truth dawned on all of them. None of them was more important or less important in maintaining the fitness of the body!

They all were equally important for the body’s good health. Only when each and everyone of them functioned properly, the body will remain in good shape.

The indefinite strike was immediately called off! All the parts were happy to return to their original functions. The body became strong and active as before.

விழுந்து விழுந்து நகைக்கலாயின;

இப்போது நகைத்தது வானத்து நிலா;

WHO IS THE BEST?

In a pitch dark night, the fire-fly exclaimed in self-praise,” Who is there to provide light for the world immersed in darkness?

What will happen to the world, but for my presence here?”

The twinkling stars laughed at the fire-fly and said,” In our presence you will hardly be noticed! What make you feel so proud?”

Now it was the turn of the silver moon to laugh at the twinkling stars. “Now that I have risen, you will all become invisible! No need to boast about yourselves and feel so proud.”

The red Sun rose in the east. His bright golden rays replaced the dull light of the moon. There was no trace of the boasting fire-fly and the proud twinkling stars!

Never feel proud about your youth, wealth and beauty! There are many people in the world who are more beautiful, richer and more youthful than you!

If I do not list the numerous 'inventions' and 'discoveries' made by me in everyday life

and thereby become very resourceful to the forum members who know to go 'gaga'

it is merely because I chose to talk about more important things in life!
