Vegans

My little grand daughter feels one up for being a VEGAN!

She feels we vegetarians are one rung below her in the ladder of evolution!

At times she objects to our touching her
after touching the butter milk or milk container!

Is a new kind of Un-touchability in the offing??? :noidea:

LOL!

But frankly speaking its still healthier to be be vegetarian instead of vegan.

Vegans go into over dose of soy which is a phyto estrogen and not too good in the long run especially for males.

Most vegans of the world are oriental races partly they could have rejected milk becos oriental races tend to be lactose intolerant.

Galactose in milk is good for brain cells.

Most vegans eventually have very bad levels of serum iron and for a growing child its better to be drink milk instead of being vegan.

Who pays heed to what we say, Renu? :(
Those we enjoyed lot of milk and curd have turned as vegans after landing in the U S of A and say that they are perfect. :first:

They bring up their children as vegans and the kids start confirming whether what they eat is really vegan or not! :spy:

When they were in India, they could spot only ONE biscuit which was vegan and chose to eat only that brand.

Aiyoooo RR ji,

I do not intend to cause any parivar discord here!LOL

But its healthy for children to drink milk and take curds...at least some complete protein with a high absorption index is there...not to mention probiotics of curds.

Pro biotics build immunity and defense from allergies and infections.

Our Indian genes are more inclined to dairy products cos we are almost never lactose intolerant.

You are right dear Renu! Milk is the natural source of protein for vegetarians.

Curds and buttermilk provide them all the pro biotic they need.

When Varun got tummy upset after tasting all the food items given in the super fast express from Chennai, we had to buy vials of pro biotic from the medical shop to restore his stomach into working order!

It is Soy Soy Soy everywhere and in everything!
Whether it will lead to Joy Joy Joy is unknown as yet!! :decision:

Oh boy! Oh Boy!! Oh Boy!!!

Am I happy for Varun since got back his favourite hat safe!

It was in the Lost and Found items and he wants it to be

washed well before he can start wearing it again! :)

Dear Renu,
No parivar discord! Not at all dear!!! :)

I have always been a 'dummy mummy' and my dear sister is the 'favourite chithi ' of both my sons and their children. :thumb:

In fact during their recent visit to India, they enjoyed their stay more in
THAT INDIA ( meaning Chennai) than in THIS INDIA ( meaning Coimbatore)!

And tell me Why Not?

More people to admire them... more people to attend on them ....more places to visit....more masala dosas...more fun!!!!

“Raghupathi Raaghava!”

My military uncle surprised all of us when he took palm-full of water

and took it round his food before starting to eat it.

My father, a busy doctor, was duly impressed by this action…

until my uncle replied in the most casual tone,

“Actually I do not remember the correct mantra.

Yet I want to chant some mantra!

So I just say Raghupthi Raaghava Raaja Raam

patheetha paavana Sita Ram!”

Bonus info…

my dad’s name is Raman!

my Uncle’s name is Ramachandran!! :)

"ada RAmA RAmachandrA!!!"

Tall talks and small kids.

Overheard in the pre-school / play school with children of average age 3+ and 4(-) years.

“I am very disappointed with my parents!” :(

(does the child know the meaning of the long word he just used?)

“I don’t want to go home” :pout:

(isn’t every child supposed to be looking forward for the long bell at the end of the school hours?)

“I didn’t make a bad choice!” :mad2:

(what were the choices? Which one was good and which one bad??)

We never knew the existence of such concepts and complex words when we were children!

We inherently obeyed our parents
and trusted them 100%!

We believed that they would do whatever is best for us.

What is the world coming to NOW???

As they say in America,

"In America parents are MADE to be ignored by their children!"

As told by some parents I know here...

"Kids do not wait long enough to become teenagers

before they start arguing with us for everything" :argue:

American doctors advise the parents to let the baby sleep in a crib in a separate room. The baby has to sleep

as per the schedule given by the doctor to the parents! When the baby is left in the crib to cry to its hearts content

and fall asleep, Indian grand parents get mad and sad! When the kids are brought up in this way, why will not they
start to :argue: in the tender age?

I have heard a kid (still in play school) saying, 'I will go to the next city and live with some other parents!'

Dear Raji,
You remind me of the movie North where the young boy goes in search of the parents he likes. The movie featured the cute young Elizah Wood.

Only grown ups need privacy at night.
Children actually need company!

Dear VR Ji,

The thread in GD about a Hindu Gay marriage a member attended...actually solved a funny situation for me.

A few shops next to where I work a person from the not so friendly country bordering India works and whenever I pass by he would hold his heart and ask me playfully 'O what medicine is there for me with a broken heart"

Almost everyday he tells me this when he sees me that too for so many years!LOL

Today I told him "hey get married to the guy next to you..that would cure all your heartache..marrying a female will give you more pain"

He was totally shocked and started reciting some religious verses! ha ha ha

Dear Renu
You are really naughty to the core! :)
Hope his broken heart did not crumble into a fine powder on hearing your prescription!!!
By the way who or what is a pan sexual - the definition of which is really scary???

  1. [h=3]Miley Cyrus Identifies As Pansexual. What Does That Mean ...[/h]
www.yahoo.com/beauty/miley-cyrus-identifies-as... Cached(Photo: Getty Images) Miley Cyrus has been very vocal about her sexuality in recent months, and now she has a new revelation: She identifies as pansexual.

The two types of peopel!

(the perpetual...the eternal...the dispensable...the inevitable two types)

Thinking about the two types of people who serve and who get served,

I discovered a thing or two.

Usually the good looking and the dull witted get served.

The ordinary looking and /or brainy people serve them.

Should it not be the other way round???

It should be!!! But sadly it is not so!!!

But good looking people manage to use their looks to their advantage.

If they are also dull witted in addition to being pretty or handsome

(since Beauty and Brain seldom go hand in hand) all the more reason

why they should not be entrusted with any important task!

So it is the brainy people who willingly take up the challenge

of the added tasks and end up serving the others for life!

DOES NOT SOUND REALLY VERY BRAINY !!! EH??? :decision:

The parents of a boy in TaruN's play school owns a pumpkin farm.

So they have presented a Baby Pumpkin to every baby in the class!

TaruN loves his baby Pumpkin and would not let others touch it!!

So the concept of Self and Ownership ( I and My ) are deep rooted in all

living things! Why else the territorial wars between animals and men???
