Think or sink!

Why do we need a spoken language when

the eyes can speak better than the tongue??? :love:

I like frank people. Some people start a sentence with "I will tell you a nice joke!" :blah:

It is a hint that you are suppose to laugh - at least by tickling yourself secretly! :laugh:

Some others laugh at their own joke before the others can understand what was being told!

The best joke is the unexpected and the under-played humour conveyed very seriously!:rofl:

There is Children's program on the I pad called Talking cat Ginger with
golden brown body and blue eyes which repeats everything we say to it.
How nice to hear the cat talk sweet Tamil - that too BrahmaNa bhaashai!
I have not has so much fun or laughed so much in many many years! :)

Was he also there?

He visited our temple regularly;
And attended the Puja eagerly.

He had a kind word for everyone;
His total sincerity would often stun!

Not like most people who pretend;
As if Puja will stop unless they attend.

He was the first one to read my blog;
And register his opinions all agog.

Today I thought I saw his figure trim!
Though I knew that the fate grim,

Has snatched with cruel hands him!
And allowed things to settle and sim.

The thought that I almost saw him,
Filled my deluded eyes to the brim.

Farewell good friend! Rest in peace!
We will pray for your loved one’s ease.

P.S.
This young gentle person was the secretary of our Colony's Association.
He was a gentleman to the core and I miss him as much as his own family does!

ONLINE is the right word. When things do not click,
they leave us tied to the laptop / telephone by strong invisible strings... making sure that WE ARE always ONLINE!!!!

By trying to set up online banking from abroad, we have literally become
the human extensions of all modes of communication...but in VAIN! :(

Quotes with a punch!

Someone may mean nothing to the entire world.
But he may mean the entire world of someone!

Everybody is a somebody to somebody.
Nobody is really a nobody to everybody!

All truths are not to be told to all! (All truths may be told to some!)
All are not to be told all the truths.(Some may be told some truths)

Consider yourself to be indispensable,
Gladly you will be shown the front door!

Work hard to make yourself indispensable,
Gladly you will move up higher and higher!

Today we were discussing the meanings of our names.

Both Tejas ( = Brilliant) and Tarun (= always young) are names of Lord Murugan.

Roopa means a beautiful form. My name means 'one with large eyes!'

When the name Raman came up, Tejas exclaimed that it means a noodle! :rolleyes:

What else can we expect from a A.B.C.D who enjoys eating Ramen Noodles!

(A.B.C.D stands for an American Born Confused Desi!)

THIS POEM WAS WRITTEN MORE THAN 5 YEARS AGO.

I LEAVE IT TO YOUR DECISION WHETHER

HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF OR WHETHER
HISTORY JUST RHYMES WITH ITSELF! :decision:

WILD FIRE OR VAMPIRE?

Certain persons we all admire;
Not because of their perfect attire.

They strive and sincerely aspire;
The pinnacle of glory to acquire.

Harsh feelings and acts backfire;
Learn to burn them in a bonfire.

Better to call for a total ceasefire;
Than end caught up in the crossfire.

Nothing can stop those who conspire;
Hard it proves some persons to inspire.

If unable to get what they require;
It is the right time for them to retire.

People do smile and enjoy satire;
But will rarely put up with spitfire.

It is far easier to escape a wildfire;
Than to escape the hold a vampire!

[ Result of a Prophecy or Philosophical observation??? ] :noidea:

WHO / WHAT can let out a wolf's whistle and still escape unhurt??? :whistle:

All the electronic modes of communication which

let out an alert in the form of a whistle of course! :rolleyes:

Ever since the Daylight saving program came to an end and the clock was set back by one hour on this Sunday, days appear more normal with the sun rise before 7 A.m (instead of 8 A.M)! :flame:

My son and D.I.L keep saying so much of sunshine and such a good weather is UNUSUAL in November. :smow:

I guess God is great and has decided to keep us (the two old Indians unfamiliar to the freezing weather) very comfortable! :hail:

  1. Bulgur - Image Results
    More Bulgur images

    Finding the right type of cracked wheat became difficult for me. Either the grains were too fine or too coarse to be eaten by human adults. It was a lucky find that Bulgar turned out to be just fine. When cooked it becomes soft and chewy and goes well with saambaar / rasam / buttermilk! Necessity is the mother of not just new inventions but also discoveries of the existing things !!! :)
