Krishna is said to be an avatar of Vishnu, and Historians say that Vishnu was a King ruled some parts of Asia. While the original himself seems to be controversial, how come Krishna, who is a human being and born to biological parents, can be treated as God.

The way Tendulkar, Sonia Gandhi, Kushboo and Amma is treated, same way Krishna also can be treated as God. .

I do not know when temple for Kushboo came to be but I remember someone showing me a devotee's version of 108 names for archana (in Tamil). One I remember though it was humorous and gross at the same time - Hey you shaker of the big hips, I pray or some such thing. The word in Tamil was not for hip exactly but back - you can let your imagination fill in the blanks in Tamil..

P.S: After that incident, I started asking permission 'uLLE varalAmA?', even if the door was left open!!

You have not heard my story!LOL

3 years ago my female cousin and I were at a Vishnu temple here where the priests were from India.
My male cousin was getting engaged in the temple and then my female cousin and I were looking for the brides room to see if she was ready.

But we wrongly opened the priest's room and we had a darshan cos he was just about to tie his Panchakacham..there he stood in his Kaupeenam.

We quickly closed the door and ran way..poor guy!LOL
