This is what is wrong with all organized religions.
You commit the deed and expect someone else to fix it for you. No religion should absolve any body else for the follies they commit. The results of your action are bound to come.

S S will surely know that Lord Ayyapa can not save him.
He might have taken this trip to get some peace of mind! :peace:

I will not be so sure. We have no idea of Ayyapa bhaktas in police, lawyer or judiciary communities. A few of them may come out to save a fellow bhakta.

When people form their own associations and supplement it with money power and muscle power to muzzle others and even the law itself for betterment of their own causes and to wriggle out of difficult situations , why cannot fellow bhaktas of SS try to find a way for him? if Ayyapa does decide to save SS He would certainly inspire such thoughts in others to save SS.

In case you have forgotten, Mohammed Azharuddin who was in the same shoes of SS, is a member of parliament today.

Ok I get it now..did some Google searching.

BTW what is the big deal if he goes for pilgrimage??

Every Tom Dick and Harry prays isn't it?

Most of us also pray but can we call ourselves deserving for the grace of God?

The real answer none of us know.

I feel each one of us are guilty of some fault or the other ..it is just that the scale of it differs.

Well.. God is Marijuna for most people....so let Mr SS have his puff too.

Dukh Mein Simran Sab Kare, Sukh Mein Kare Na Koye
Jo Sukh Mein Simran Kare, Tau Dukh Kahe Ko Hoye
[In anguish everyone prays to Him, in joy does none
To One who prays in happiness, how sorrow can come]

The charade of SS for the pilgrimage when he got caught is laughable. Who are you trying to fool with false repentance? If you think your God is such a fool then you do not know God. I do not buy into asking for forgiveness, If you really believe in Karma, you are going to get the due results of action.

Dear Prasad ji,

Long back one elderly woman of a different religion told me that it is very important to ask for forgiveness for one sins done in a life time especially when death is near.

So I told her that "if I had committed a wrong deed why should I ask for forgiveness??
I should be prepared enough to face the consequences and not ask God to bail me out for my wrong doing..asking God to forgive us is disrespecting God"

To which the old lady told me "you must be having lots of ego in you for not having the feeling to ask for forgiveness from God..only a person who has ego will not ask for forgiveness"

I told her "you are mistaken..only a person who loves God will not make Him a forgiving machine and let his/her own Karma take its course"

So you see Prasad ji..almost everyone thinks God will forgive them for anything they do...so let everyone puff the narcotic!LOL

Dear Renu,

If one accuses a member in our forum, most of the times he / she asks the person who is hurt to forgive, right?

Don't you think God is one step ahead of humans and we should ask Him to forgive for our bad deeds

which surely would have hurt Him too?

P.S: :gossip:
Of late I find lot of crowd in every other temple! :bump2:

If a person asks to forgive for a mistake, that person is supposed to stop doing the same mistake again! :decision:

But does it really happen? :noidea:

Dear RR ji,

When we do a bad deed actually we hurt ourselves the most besides the person we hurt.

An apology is just telling a person how remorseful we feel...I don't think most of us say "please forgive me" most of us just say 'I am sorry..I shouldn't have said or done that"

BTW I so far in life do not remember asking anyone to forgive me....I usually say I am sorry if I feel I hurt someone but most of the while I might not actually be at fault but still say sorry to diffuse a situation so that it wont escalate into a full scale fight..so there is no actual need for being forgiven there.

Coming to God..God is beyond anything and the only way of actually not "hurting" Him is not hurting anyone/anything and including ourselves...in other words Do Good, Be Good 24/7.

It is easy to write but not easy to put in practice..for all I know if someone drives recklessly in front of me I might just let out some $%#@ words and OMG I must have hurt God too.

So you see RR ji..it is almost 100% impossible to not hurt God..cos God is in everything.

So it is much easier to be a Devil and face the consequences in hell!LOL
