Dear Sir,
I still wonder how the marriage of my mother and father decided by selecting one packet from the two containing red and white flowers and the marriage of my eldest uncle and aunt who had 5th star combination (supposed to be opposed by both 'east' and 'west' astrologers) were very successful!
Still we go to astrologers ........ one for the father's side and one for the mother's side! eace:
Regards,
Raji Ram
i can only think that parents are so concerned, frightened, anxious, awed by the immensity (particularly of failure) and above all a deep intense love for their child to have a marriage - to realize perhaps their own unfilled dreams in thaambathiyam.
there may be a lot of trepedition mixed with hope. what do they do when there is two opposing views? do they go to a third one for the deciding vote? i am not mocking anybody, but only curious as to what most people do. i cannot believe the faith to jaadhagam, as the deciding factor in an arranged marriage. in fact i think, this is the starting point. is it not?
que sera sera!
