13 b. AhaylA DEvi – 2

Long before dawn, Indra assumed the form of a rooster. He crowed loudly in front of the ashram. Gouthama rushi thought it was time for the bath and daily prayers. He left for the river immediately.

The moment Rushi’s back was turned, Indra assumed the form of the rushi and entered the ashram. AhalyA was surprised to see him return so soon.

“It is not yet dawn. So I came back. My sleep had been disturbed unnecessarily.” Indra, in the guise of the sage, sat near AhaylA. She did not suspect any foul play and was happy with the love showered on her by the ‘sage’ on that day.

The rushi Goutama on his way to the river, noticed that all the living creatures were in deep sleep. He looked up at the sky and found from the position of the stars that it was not yet time for dawn.

He hurriedly finished his daily prayer. His mind was deeply troubled for no known reason. Such a thing had never before happened. He hurried back to the ashram.

The doors were closed. So he knocked the door and called out his wife’s name. AhaylA was startled to hear her husband’s voice from outside the hut. ‘If her husband was outside the hut, then who was with her on the cot?’

She was shocked to realize that she had been deceived by a clever impersonator.

3#18d. விவாதம்

வந்து சேர்ந்தனர் பற்பல தேசத்து மன்னர்கள்;
விந்தையில் ஆழ்ந்தனர் சுதர்சனனைக் கண்டு!

வந்தான் சத்ருஜித் பாட்டன் யுதாஜித்துடன்;
வந்தனர் நகர மக்கள் மன்னர்களைக் காண.

ஒரு துணையும் இல்லாமல் வந்தவனைக் கண்டு
பெரு வியப்பில் ஆழ்ந்தனர் காசி நகரத்து மக்கள்.

பிரகாசிக்கும் மன்னர்கள் இருக்கையில்
பரம ஏழை இவனை வரிப்பாளா இளவரசி?

“நானே அழிப்பேன் சுதர்சனனை!” யுதாஜித் கூற
நன் மொழிகள் பகர்ந்தனர் அங்கிருந்த அரசர்கள்.

“நடக்கப் போவது இச்சா சுயம்வரம் – இதில்
இடமில்லை போட்டிக்கும், பொறாமைக்கும்!

விரும்பியவனை வரிப்பாள் மணப்பெண்;
வீர சுயம்வரம் அல்ல போர் செய்வதர்க்கு!

பேரனுக்கு முடிசூட்டி, சுதர்சனனை விரட்டி,
மேலும் துன்புறுத்துவது தர்மம் ஆகாது!

இறைவன் ஒருவன் உள்ளான் தர்மம் காக்க;
இறுதியில் தருவான் வெற்றியோ தோல்வியோ.

கருதுவான் சத்தியம், தர்மம் இரண்டினையும்;
தருவான் அதில் வெற்றியைத் தர்மத்துக்கே.

வந்துள்ளனர் பலதேசத்து அரசர்கள் இங்கு;
வந்தவர்களில் ஒருவன் ஆவான் மணமகன்.

அந்த முடிவும் அரசகுமாரியின் கையில்;
அந்த முடிவை ஏற்கவேணும் அனைவரும்.

பகைமையால் சாதிப்பது என்ன எனக் கூறு!
பகைமை வளர்த்தார் அறிவு படைத்தோர்!”

9#12b. கங்கையின் துதி (2)

"புண்ணியத்தைப் பெருக்குபவளுக்கு - சிவனின்
இன்னிசையை மோஹிப்பவளுக்கு நமஸ்காரம்!

ராதா, கிருஷ்ணர் தேஹத்தில் தோன்றியவளுக்கு;
கார்த்திகைப் பௌர்ணமியில் தோன்றியவளுக்கு;

கோலோகத்தைச் சூழ்ந்து இருப்பவளுக்கு;
வைகுண்டத்தில் வியாபித்து இருப்பவளுக்கு;

பிரம்ம லோகத்திலும், சிவ லோகத்திலும்;
சூரிய மண்டலத்திலும், சந்திர மண்டலத்திலும்

தபோ லோகதிலும், ஜனர் லோகத்திலும்,
மகர் லோகத்திலும், கைலாயத்திலும்,

இந்திர லோகத்திலும், பாதளத்திலும் பாயும்
கங்கையே உனக்கு நமஸ்காரம் நமஸ்காரம்.

கிருத யுகத்தில் கொண்டாய் பால் வர்ணம்;
திரேதா யுகத்தில் நிறம் சந்திரனின் வர்ணம்;

துவாபர யுகத்தில் சந்தன வர்ணம் கொண்டாய்;
கலி யுகத்தில் தண்ணீரின் வர்ணம் கொண்டாய்;

சுவர்க்கத்தில் பால் வண்ணம் கொண்டாய்;
உனக்கு நமஸ்காரம், நமஸ்காரம், நமஸ்காரம்."

உள்ளன இருபத்தோரு ஸ்லோகங்கள் - இவற்றை
உள்ளன்போடு துதித்தால் அஸ்வமேத யாக பலன்!

நல்ல குடும்பமும், நல்ல புகழும் அடைவர்;
நல்ல குணம் பெறுவர் நோய் வாய்ப்பட்டவர்.

விடுதலை அடைவான் கட்டுப் பட்டவன்;
மூடனும், மூர்க்கனும் அறிஞர்கள் ஆவர்.

இறங்கிய கங்கை பாய்ந்தாள் - சகரர்கள்
இறந்து கிடந்த இடத்துக்குப் பரிவுடன்.

பரம பதம் அடைந்தனர் சகரர் மகன்கள்
அறுபதினாயிரம் பேர்களும் உடனேயே!

பகீரதப் பிரயத்தினத்தால் இறங்கிய கங்கை
பாகீரதி என்ற பெயர் பெற்று விளங்கினாள்!

9#12b. GangA stuti (2)

"I bow down to the Ganges who appeared from the body of Sri. KrishnA - enchanted by the music of SivA and bathed with the perspiration of RAdhA Devi.

I bow down to GangA Devi who first appeared in the RAsa MaNdalam - in the region of Goloka - and who always remains with Lord Sankara.

My obeisance to the Devi GangA who first appeared on the Full Moon night of the month of KArtik.


My obeisance to GangA Devi who flows through Goloka, Vaikuntha, Brahmaloka, Sivaloka, Soorya MaNdala, Chandra Mandala, Tapo loka, Janar loka, Mahar lokA., Kailash,. She flows as MandAkini in Indraloka, as Bhogavati PAtAlA and as AlakAnanda on the earth

I bow down to GangA Devi who was of the color of milk in Satya yuga; of the color of Moon in TretA Yuga, of the color of white sandal-paste in DvApara yuga. I bow down to GangA Devi who is as plain water in Kali yuga in this earth and as milk in Heaven.

By the touch of a drop of Ganges, all the horrible sins incurred in ten million births will get burnt to ashes. The twenty-one verses this great stotra destroy the sins and add to the merits of one who chants it regularly.


He who has no sons will get good sons and he who has no wife will get a good wife. People will get cured of their diseases. The man who is under bondage, will be liberated. This stotra bestows wisdom and intelligence on the person who chants it with devotion.

#13c. அகலிகை-3

கண்களில் பறந்தன தீப் பொறிகள்!
கண்ணகி போலச் சினந்து நின்றாள்!

“மோசம் செய்து விட்டாயே என்னை!
வேஷம் கலைந்தது! நீ யார் எனக்கூறு!”

முனிபத்தினியின் முன் வெட்கித் தலை
குனிந்து நாணி நின்றான் தேவேந்திரன்.

“பாதகம் செய்து களங்கப் படுத்தினாய்;
ஏது காரணம் உடனே என்னிடம் கூறு!”

“அழகைக் கண்டு மயங்கி விட்டேன்
தழுவி இன்புற விருப்பம் கொண்டேன்!”

முனிவர் தட்டினார் மீண்டும் கதவுகளை.
முனிவரின் பாதங்களில் ஓடி விழுந்தாள்.

கண்ணீரால் கழுவினாள் இரு கால்களை
“மன்னியுங்கள் சுவாமி என் பிழையை.

மோசம் செய்துவிட்டான் – உம் போலவே
வேஷம் அணிந்து வந்திருந்த தேவராஜன்.

கூவினான் ஏமாற்றச் சேவல் உருவில்!
கூடினான் என்னுடன் உங்கள் உருவில்.

ஐயுறவில்லை நான் சிறிதும் அவன் மீது!
ஐயனே இப்பிழை என்னுடையது அல்ல!’

“கணவனின் பழகிய ஸ்பரிசத்திற்கும்,
காமுகனின் புதிய ஸ்பரிசத்திற்கும்,

இல்லை வேறுபாடு என்று சொல்பவள்
கல்லா? அல்லது பெண்ணா? நீயே கூறு!

பொல்லாதவனிடம் கற்பை இழந்த நீ
கல்லாக மாறிக் கிட காலமெல்லாம்!”

சாப விமோசனம் கேட்டுக் கதறினாள்;
தாபம் நீக்கினார் சாப நிவாரணத்தால்.

“தயரதன் மகன் ராமன் கால் பட்டதும்
சுயவுருவடைவாய்! அதுவரை காத்திரு!”

13c. AhalyA DEvi -3

Sparks flew out of her red eyes. She spoke with a terrible anger. “You have deceived me by impersonating my husband. Who are you? Reveal your true self now!”

Indra hung his head with shame in front of the wrath of the rishi patni. “Why did you do this to me?” AhalyA demanded Indra. “I was shaken by your beauty and wanted to enjoy you at any cost!”

Gouthama rushi knocked the doors again. AhaylA opened the doors, ran out and flung herself at his feet. Her copious tears of remorse washed the sage’s feet.

“Oh swami! please forgive me and my sin. Indra had deceived both of us. He cried in the form a cock to get you out of the hut and came to me in your form. I did not suspect anything amiss. It is not my fault.”

Gouthama replied, “If a woman says that there is no difference between the touch of her husband and that of a stranger, she must be made of a stone. You lost your chastity and you will become a stone for eternity.”

AhaylA cried at his feet for a sApa nivAraNam. He took pity on her and said, “When the feet of Sri Rama, the son of King Dasaratha touch you, you will regain your true form!”

3#19a. அரச சபை

கேரளத்து மன்னன் அறிவுரை கூறியதும்
கேலி பேசினான் யுதாஜித் அவனை நோக்கி!

“நீதியும், தர்மமும் அறிந்தவன் நீ தானோ?
நீதியும், தர்மமும் அறிவோம் அனைவரும்.

சுயம்வரத்துக்குத் துணிந்து வந்திருப்பதே
சுதர்சனன் செய்துள்ள அநீதி அல்லவா?

சிங்கத்துக்குறிய பொருளைப் பெறுவதற்கு
சிறு நரி முயல்வது என்ன நியாயம் கூறு!

இளவரசி சசிகலையை மணப்பதற்கு
உளதா ஏதேனும் தகுதிகள் இவனுக்கு?

அரசர்கள் இத்தனை பேர் குழுமி இருக்கப்
பரதேசியை மணமகன் ஆக விடுவேனோ?

ஏற்றதல்ல இச்சா சுயம்வரம் அரசர்களுக்கு;
ஏற்றது வீர சுயம்வரமே அரசகுலத்தவருக்கு.

பலவீனமானவன் இளவரசியை அடையாமல்
பலவான்கள் ஆகிய நாம் காப்பாற்ற வேண்டும்.”

சலசலப்பை ஏற்படுத்தினான் யுதாஜித்; அங்கு
கலகம் பரவும் அபாயம் சபையில் தோன்றியது!

அழைத்தான் யுதாஜித் காசிநகர மன்னனை,
“பிழை செய்துவிட்டீர் இச்சா சுயம்வரத்தால்.

இச்சித்தவனுக்காக செய்தீரா இந்த ஏற்பாடு?
இச்சிக்கப் போகின்ற ஒருவனுக்காகவா?

உண்மையை உரையுங்கள் உள்ளபடியே,
மன்னர்கள் சபையில் இங்கே இப்போதே!”

“வரித்து விட்டாள் என் மகள் சுதர்சனனை;
மறுத்துவிட்டாள் மனத்தை மாற்றிக் கொள்ள.

தனியாக வருவதற்கு அஞ்சவில்லை அவன்;
இனி நடப்பவை எல்லாம் தேவியின் செயல்”

3#19a. The assembly of kings


When the king of Kerala spoke to Yudaajit in this manner, he retorted in a mocking tone.


“So you think that only you know about Justice and Truth. We all know about them too. That Sudarsanan has dared to attend the swayamvaram itself an injustice. A cunning fox should not try to steal away a thing which rightfully belongs to a mighty lion. Is he really qualified to wed princess Sasikala?


When powerful and rich kings have assembled here for the swayamvaram, will I stand quietly and let him become the groom? Ichcha swayamvaram is not fit for the kings. Veera swayamvaram is the right type fit for the kings.


We the powerful kings must make sure that the poor pauper prince does not win the hands of the princess.” Yudaajit tried to impress his views on the other kings and there was a possibility of unrest and disturbance in the assembly of the Kings.


Yudaji then called Subaahu the king of Kaasi and told him thus: “You have committed a grave mistake by arranging for a ichichaa swayamvaram. Did you do it to give a fair chance to the pauper prince Sudarsanan or did you do it to give a fair chance to everyone of us here? Tell us the truth here and now”


King Subaahu spoke the truth. “My daughter has selected Sudarsanan as her husband long ago. He too has dared come out to this swayamvaram all alone! Whatever happens now will be according to the wishes of Devi – The Universal Mother”

9#12c. ராத மகோத்சவம்

ராதா மகோத்சவம் கார்த்திகை பௌர்ணமியன்று!
ராதையைப் பூஜித்தனர் தேவர்கள், முனிவர்கள்.

இனிய பாடல் பாடினாள் வீணை இசையுடன் வாணி;
இனிமையில் மயங்கியவர்கள் தந்தனர் பல பரிசுகள்.

ரத்தின ஹாரத்தை அளித்தான் பிரம்ம தேவன்;
ருத்திரன் அளித்தான் அபூர்வ மணி மாலையை.

அளித்தார் கிருஷ்ணர் கௌஸ்துப மணியை;
அளித்தாள் லக்ஷ்மி ரத்தினக் காதோலையை!

அளித்தனர் மூலப் பிரகிருதிகள் பிரம்ம சக்தி;
அளித்தனர் மூலப் பிரகிருதிகள் தர்ம யுக்தி.

அளித்தான் யமதர்மன் அளவில்லாத புகழை.
அளித்தான் வாயுதேவன் அழகிய நூபுரத்தை!

பாடினார் ருத்திரர் மிகவும் இனிமையாக;
பாட்டைக் கேட்டவர் விழுந்தனர் மயங்கி.

கண் விழித்துப் பார்த்தால் ராதா கிருஷ்ணரைக்
காணவில்லை எங்கெங்கோ தேடிய போதிலும்.

ஜல மயமாக இருந்தது எங்கும் - அறிந்தான்
ஜல மயமான காரணத்தை பிரமன் ஆராய்ந்து.

விரும்பினர் அனைவரும் கிருஷ்ணனைக் காண!
விரும்பினர் அனைவரும் ராதா தேவியைக் காண!

" உருவங்களைக் காட்ட வேண்டும் என்றால் - ஒரு
உறுதிமொழி அளிக்க வேண்டும் சிவன் எனக்கு!

தேவ சபையில் விஷ்ணு மாயையுடன் கூட
தியான ஸ்லோகங்கள், அபூர்வ மந்திரங்கள்,

கவசங்கள், பூஜை முறைகள், சாஸ்திரங்கள்,
வேதாந்தம், வேதசாரம் சிருஷ்டித்து அவற்றை

குருவாக இருந்து காத்து வருவதாக உறுதிமொழி !"
கூறியது அசரீரி அனைவரும் கேட்கும் வண்ணம்.

செய்தார் பிரதிக்ஞை சிவபெருமான் அவ்வாறே;
செய்தார் பிரதிக்ஞை கையில் கங்கை நீருடன்.

தோன்றினர் கிருஷ்ணரும், ராதையும் மீண்டும்!
தொடர்ந்து நடந்தது மகோத்சவம் முன்போலவே!

முக்தி தீபம் என்ற அபூர்வ ரஹசிய நூலை
முக்தி நாதன் சிவன் அளித்தான் உலகுக்கு.

9#12. RAdhA MahOtsavam

On the Full Moon night of the month of KArtik, RAdhA Mahotsavam - a great festivity in honor of RAdhA - was celebrated. Devi SarasWati began to sing lovely songs, in tune with her veenA, on KrishnA. All were pleased with her divine music!

BrahmA presented to Saraswati a necklace of gems; MahA Deva gave her very rare gems and jewels of this universe; KrishNA presented her with his Kaustubha jewel and RAdhikA gave an invaluable necklace of gems.

NArAyaNa presented to her a hAram of jewels; Lakshmi gave Saraswati her golden earrings studded with precious gems. Moola Prakruti Devi gave her undiminished devotion to BrahmA. Dharma gave her fame; Agni gave her excellent raiment purified by fire and VAyu gave Her Noopura.

Mahes'vara began to sing, at suggested by BrahmA, songs relating to the grand RAsa festival. Listening to this, the Devas became enchanted and remained like statues. With great difficulty, they regained their consciousness.

Then they saw that RAdhA and KrishnA were missing and everything was deluged with water. The Gopas, Gopis, Devas BrahmaNAs began to cry loudly.

BrahmA came to know that RAdhA and Krishna have assumed this liquid form for the deliverance of the people of the world. BrahmA and the others prayed to Krishna,"Please show us your form and grant us boons.”

An asareeri spoke these words loud and clear!

"O Devas! If you desire to see My Form, then request Lord Mahesvara to carry out My wish. He must compose the beautiful Tantra SAstra, in accordance with the limbs of the Vedas.

That SAstra must be full of Mantras (capable yielding the desired fruits), Stotras (hymns) and Kavachas (protection mantras) and rules of worship in the proper order. If MahA Deva promises earnestly in this assembly of the Devas, I will then exhibit My True Form.”

Siva took the Ganges water in His hands and swore saying, “I will complete the Tantra S'astra, full of RAdhA mantras and it will not be opposed to the Vedas."

When BhagavAn Sankara said this before the assembly of the DEvas in the region of Goloka, KrishNa reappeared there with RAdhA. The DEvas became very happy to see them.

They praised Him and the RAsa Festiva continued. MahA Deva lighted the Torch of Mukti, by formulating the Tantra SAstra as promised by him.

Thus the holy GangA was born out of the bodies of RAdhA and Krishna. She is equally honored everywhere in this Universe as a purifier and liberator of the jeevAs.

#13d. அகலிகை-4

அகலிகைக்குச் சாப நிவாரணம் கூறிவிட்டுப்
பகைவன் இந்திரனைத் தேடினார் கௌதமர்.

குடிலில் ஒளிந்திருந்த இந்திரன் – பூனை
வடிவெடுத்துத் தப்பிச் செல்ல முயன்றான்.

தபோ மகிமையால் அதை உணர்ந்த முனிவர்
தப்பிச் செல்லாதவாறு அதட்டினார் அவனை.

“நிஜ உருவில் வந்து வணங்கினான் அவரை.
“ராஜனே! உன் பதவி என்ன? பெருமை என்ன?

தேவ மங்கையர் போதவில்லையோ உனக்கு?
தேவைப்பட்டாளோ பாவப்பட்ட ரிஷிபத்னியும் ?

மனிதனாக இருந்தால் எரிந்து போயிருப்பாய்!
புனிதன் போல நடிப்பு! புரிவதோ இழிசெயல்!

பெண் இன்பத்தை நாடிப் பாதகம் புரிந்தாய்!
பெண் குறிகளால் உன் உடல் நிறையட்டும்.”

கோபம் வெளிப்பட்டது ஒரு கொடிய சாபமாக!
சாபம் வெளிப்பட்டது ஓராயிரம் பெண்குறிகளாக.

ஈனச் செயல் புரிந்து மானம் கெட்டான்!
காண இயலாத விகார உடல் பெற்றான்!

நாணி ஓடிச்சென்று ஒளிந்து கொண்டான்!
காணவில்லை இந்திரனை தேவலோகத்தில்!

காணவில்லை இந்திரனை பிரமலோகத்தில்!
காணவில்லை இந்திரனை வைகுந்தத்தில்!

காணவில்லை இந்திரனை கைலாசத்தில்!
காணவில்லை இந்திரனை பாதாளத்தில்!

குலகுருவிடம் சென்று கேட்டார்கள் தேவர்கள்
குலகுரு சொன்னார்,” நாரதரைக் கேளுங்கள்!

திரிகால ஞானி ஆவான் நாரத முனிவன்
திரிலோக சஞ்சாரியும் ஆவான் நாரதன்

அவனுக்குத் தெரியாமல் இருக்க முடியாது
அவனைக் கேட்டால் பிறக்கும் தெளிவு.”

13d. AhalyA DEvi – 4

After cursing and granting sApa nivAraNam to AhaylA, Gouthama looked for Indra. Indra who was hiding in the hut, transformed himself into cat and tried to slip away and escape silently.

But the Rushi knew it by his powers. He called out Indra’s name. Indra came and paid obeisance to the rushi in his true form.

“Oh king of Heaven! Have you forgotten you power and position in the Heaven? Are the apsaras and the divine damsels not enough to please you? Should you deceive and enjoy a rushi patni also?

If you were a mere mortal you would have turned to ash. But you are the king of Heaven who will stoop to any level seeking carnal pleasure. You did this merely for the pleasure given by a woman. May your body bear one thousand marks of a woman all over it!”

Rushi’s anger became a curse. The curse turned him into a weird figure with the mark of a woman appearing all over his body in one thousand spots.

Indra felt so ashamed of himself that he went and hid himself immediately. The DEvA looked for Indra everywhere but could not find him in swargga or Satyaloka or Vaikunta or KailAsa or even PAtAl. They all went and asked their kulaguru about Indra.

He too did not know anything about Indra. He told them, “NArada is a tri kAla JnAni and thilOka sanchAri. Nothing ever escapes his knowledge. If you ask him he might be knowing the whereabouts of Indra.”

3#19b. சுதர்சனன்

அழைத்தனர் சுதர்சனனைப் பிற மன்னர்கள்.
“அழைத்ததால் வந்தாயா? அழைப்பின்றியா?

தனியாளாக வந்துள்ளாய் சுயம்வரத்துக்கு – இல்லை
தனக்கெனப் படை, பரிவாரம் அமைச்சர்கள் எதுவும்.

சத்ருஜித் வந்துள்ளான் பாட்டன் யுதாஜித்துடன்;
சத்ருஜித்துக்கு உதவ உள்ளது ஒரு வலிய படை.

உனக்கு மாலையிட்டு அவள் தேர்வு செய்தால்
உடனே மூளும் இங்கு பெரும் போர் ஒன்று.

ஒருவரும் இல்லை உனக்குப் போரில் உதவிட.
ஒருவனாக நீ என்ன செய்வாய் என்பதைக் கூறு.

உன் பலத்தை நம்பி இங்கிருப்பாயா – அல்லது
உன் நலத்தைக் கருதித் திரும்பிச் செல்வாயா?”என

“உண்மை தான் நீங்கள் கூறுவது முற்றிலும்;

போரில் வெல்லும் வலிமை எனக்கு இல்லை;
சோர்வில் தோள் கொடுத்திட யாரும் இல்லை;

பொன் இல்லை, பொருள் இல்லை, சேனை இல்லை!
என்ன இருக்கிறது என்னிடம் அவளை வசீகரிக்க?

வேடிக்கை பார்க்க வந்துள்ளேன் நான் இங்கு!
வேலை, வெட்டி இல்லாதவனாக எண்ணுங்கள்.

பராசக்தியின் ஆணையால் வந்துள்ளேன் நான்;
பராசக்தியால் செய்ய இயலும் எதுவும், எங்கும்.

ஆண்டியாக்க இயலும் அரசனை தேவிக்கு!
ஆண்டியை அரசனாக இயலும் தேவிக்கு!

மும்மூர்த்திகள் முயன்று நின்ற போதிலும்
எம்மாத்திரம் அவர்கள் தேவியின் முன்பு?

எல்லாம் அவள் செயல், நம்முடையது அல்ல!
எல்லாம் நடக்கும் அவளது விருப்பம் போல!

நடப்பது நடந்தே தீரும் என்பதால் – நாம்
நடப்பவை பற்றிக் கவலைப் படவேண்டாம்.

யாருமில்லை பகைவர்கள் என்று எனக்கு;
யாரேனும் வரலாம் பகைவர் என்று கூறி!

பாதுகாப்பது பராசக்தியின் திருவருள் – நான்
பரமேஸ்வரியை நம்புகின்றேன் என் உளமார.

துள்ள மாட்டேன் வெற்றி அடைந்த போதிலும்!,
துவள மாட்டேன் தோல்வி அடைந்த போதிலும்!”

9#13a. கங்கையும், ராதையும்

விஷ்ணுவிடம் சேர்ந்தனர் சாபம் முடிந்ததும்
லக்ஷ்மி, சரஸ்வதி, கங்கை ஆகிய மூவருமே.

மனைவியர் நால்வர் விஷ்ணுவுக்கு
கங்கை, லக்ஷ்மி, சரஸ்வதி, துளசி.

விஷ்ணுவின் பாதத்தில் உற்பத்தியானவள்;
சிவபெருமானுக்கு மிகப் பிரியம் ஆனவள்;

பிரமனின் கமண்டலத்தில் உற்பத்தியானவள்;
பிரியமானவள் கங்கை விஷ்ணுவுக்கு எதற்கு?"

"தோன்றினாள் ஜல ரூபமாக கங்கை முன்பு;
தோன்றினாள் ராதா, கிருஷ்ணரிடமிருந்து.

அதி தேவதையானாள் கங்கை ஜலத்துக்கு.
அதிக அழகோடு திகழ்ந்தாள் கங்கா தேவி.

காண விரும்பினாள் கிருஷ்ணனை காமத்தோடு;
நாணத்தோடு முகத்தை மறைத்திருந்த கங்கை.

மோகம் கொண்டாள், மெய் சிலிர்த்தாள் கங்கை;
மூர்ச்சித்து விழுந்தாள் கிருஷ்ணன் காலடியில்.

வந்தாள் ராதை சர்வாலங்கார பூஷிதையாக;
வந்தவள் அமர்ந்தாள் அரியணையில் அருகில்,

மூர்ச்சை தெளிந்து எழுந்தாள் கங்கை -அவள்
முகம் வாடிவிட்டது ராதையின் கோபம் கண்டு.

அபயம் அளித்தான் கிருஷ்ணன் கங்கைக்கு;
அபாயம் நீங்கியது என நிம்மதி கொண்டாள்.

9#13a. GangA and RAdhA

After their curses got exhausted, all the three Devis GangA, Lakshmi and Saraswati returned to Lord Krishnamoorthy. Including Tulasee Devi, Lord Krishnamoorthy has four wives.

"Ganga appeared from the feet of Krishna and RadhA. She is the favorite of Lord Siva. She fills the kamandalam of Brahma and why is the favorite to VishnU?" Narada asked.

"GanGA appeared from the bodies of RAdhA and KrishnA. She appeared in the form of water first. She became the Ati Devata for water. She was extremely beautiful and attractive among all the Devis.

She loved Krishnamoorthy and could not get enough of his dardhan. She sat covring her face and casting love filled glances at Krishnamoorthy. She was overcome by a strong passion and fainted at the feet of Krishnamoorthy.

RAdhA came there with her retinue and was decorated in rich ornaments and silks. She sat in the throne near Krishnamoorthy. Ganga regained consciousness and got scared by the angry expression in RAdhA's face. Krishnamoorthy gave her protection and Ganga felt relieved and reassured.

#13e. அகலிகை-5

“தேவேந்திரன் இன்றி ஒளி இழந்து விட்டோம்
தேவர்கள் நாங்களும் தேவலோகம் முழுவதும்.

தேடாத இடமில்லை மூன்று உலகங்களிலும்.
தெரிந்தால் கூறுங்கள் இந்திரன் எங்கே என!”

“வஞ்சித்து விட்டான் இந்திரன் அகலிகையை.
அஞ்சி ஒளிந்துள்ளான் கௌதமர் சாபத்தால்.

இந்திரப் பதவியைப் பெற்றிருந்தும் காமத்தால்
உந்தப்பட்டு புரிந்தான் அவன் இழிசெயல்கள்!”

அனைவரும் கூடிச் சென்றனர் கௌதமரிடம்;
அன்புடன் வரவேற்றார் தேவர்களை முனிவர்.

“தேவராஜனை இழந்து வாடுகிறது சுவர்க்கம்.
பாவத்தை மன்னித்துச் சாபநிவாரணம் தருக!

இச்சையால் வஞ்சியை வஞ்சித்தது குற்றமே.
பச்சாதாபம் கொண்டான், மன்னிப்புத் தருக!”

கருணை கொண்டு மனமிளகினார் முனிவர்
“கற்பக விநாயகர் மந்திரம் மாற்றிவிடும்

அற்பப் பெண் குறிகளை இந்திரன் உடலில்
அற்புதக் கண்களாகக் கணப் பொழுதில்.

பிரஹஸ்பதிக்கு நான் உபதேசிக்கிறேன்
பிருஹஸ்பதி உபதேசிப்பார் இந்திரனுக்கு.”

கந்தர்ப்பத்தில், தடாகத் தாமரைத் தண்டில்,
சந்தர்ப்பத்தை நோக்கி இருந்தான் இந்திரன்.

நாணத்துடன் வெளிப்பட்ட இந்திரன் நீராடி,
ஆர்வத்துடன் பெற்றான் உபதேசம் குருவிடம்.

அற்பப் பெண்குறிகள் மாறிவிட்டன ஆயிரம்
அற்புத விழிகளாக ஒரு கண நேரத்தில்.

13e. AhalyA DEvi – 5
“The swarga lacks luster without Indra. All of us have lost our glory due his absence. Do you have any idea where Indra is now?” The DEvA asked NArada.


NArada replied,” DEva RAjan Indra has deceived rushi patni AhalyA DEvi by impersonating her husband sage Goutama. He is hiding after being cursed by Goutama rushi”.


All of them now went to meet Goutama rushi. He welcomed the congregation of the DEvA.. The DEvA apologized for the unwise acts of Indra and begged the rushi to pardon him and give a sApa nivAraNam from the curse.


The rushi was moved with pity. He agreed to teach the Karpaga VinAyaka mantram to DEva Guru SukrAchArya. He should in turn teach it to Indra. Then the marks of a woman all over Indra’s body would be transformed to one thousand beautiful eyes.


Indra was hiding in the stem of a lotus flower in a lake in the place called Kandharppam. The DEvA reached there and called Indra to come out of his hiding place. Indra was ashamed to come out with his weird body.


He came out reluctantly. He took bath in the pond and learned the mantra from Guru SukrAchArya. Immediately the ugly markings of a woman all over Indra’s body got transformed into one thousand lovely eyes.

3#19c. தேவி துணை

அரசர்கள் இரங்கினர் அப்பாவி சுதர்சனன் மீது.
அரசர்கள் கேட்டனர் அவனிடமே ஆலோசனை.

”கங்கணம் கட்டியுள்ளான் பாட்டன் யுதாஜித்;
எங்கனமும் உன்னை அழித்து விடுவதற்கு!

போர் மூளும் அபாயம் உள்ளது – எனவே
போரைத் தடுக்கச் செய்ய வேண்டியவை?”

“கர்மத்தின் வசப்பட்டது இந்த உலகம்;
கர்மத்தின் பலன் மூன்று வகைப்படும்.

ஆகாமியம், சஞ்சிதம், பிராரப்தம்
ஆகியவை உள்ளன தேவியின் வசம்.

காலத் தத்துவம் நிகழ்த்தும் செயல்களை;
காலத் தத்துவம் துணை செய்யும் தேவிக்கு.

பூர்வ கர்மம் காலத் தத்துவம் இவற்றை
ஆர்வர்துடன் விலக்குவது சாத்தியமா?

தேவியைத் துணையாக்கிக் கொண்டால்
தேவி காப்பாள் இரவு பகல் எங்கும் எப்போதும்

தேவியே தர வல்லவள் சுகமும் துக்கமும்
கவலை எதற்கு அவள் அருள் இருந்தால்?”

அரசர்கள் மகிழ்ந்தனர் இதைக் கேட்டு;
அரசர்கள் சென்றனர் அவரவர் விடுதிக்கு.

ஆகாமியம், சஞ்சிதம், பிராரப்தம் :-

ஒவ்வொரு மனிதனுடைய வாழ்விலும், நாம் செய்யக் கூடிய ஒவ்வொரு
கர்மாவும், மூன்றுநிலை அடைகிறது. சஞ்சிதம், ஆகாமியம், பிராரப்தம்.

இப்போது நமக்கு இந்த பிறவி கிடைத்த உள்ளது.
இதில் சில வியாதிகளும், சில சுகங்களும், துன்பங்களும் கிடைக்கின்றன.
இப்போது நாம் இந்த சரீரத்தின் மூலம் அனுபவிக்கும் சுக, துக்கங்களுக்கு
ப்ராரப்தம் என்ற கர்மா காரணமாகிறது.

இப்போது இந்த சரீரத்தின் மூலம் செய்யக்கூடிய நல்வினை, தீவினைகள், வரும்
காலத்தில் பலன் அளிக்கக்கூடியதுமாக, ஆகாமிய என்ற பெயரோடு வருகிறது.

இப்படி ஒருபிறவியல்ல ஆகாமிய கார்யங்கள் பல செய்துவிடுகிறோம். இதற்கு
பலன் உண்டு. இப்படி ஆகாமிய கார்யங்கள் எல்லாம் ஒன்று சேர்ந்து அமைந்து
விடுகிறது. இப்படிசேர்ந்த கர்மாக்களுக்கு சஞ்சிதம் என்று பெயர்

இப்படி சஞ்சிதத்திலிருந்து ஒரு பிறவியில் நாம் அனுபவிக்கும் சுக, துக்கங்களுக்கு,
பிராரப்தம் என்று பெயர் சொல்லுகிறோம். பிராரப்தம் என்று இப்பிறவியில் பல,
இன்ப, துன்பங்களை அனுபவிக்கிறோம்.

3#19c. ‘Devi is my protector!”

The kings felt sympathetic on hearing these words spoken by Sudarsanan. They told him, “A war is imminent. How do you propose to face the well planned attack by Yudaajit and his army?”


Sudarsanan replied, “The whole world obeys the Theory of Karma. We reap what we sow. Nothing more and nothing less. The effects of Karma are of three types. The Aagaamiyam, The Sanchitam and the Praarabdam. All
these three are under the control of Devi.


Time Factor decides everything happening here. The Time Factor is a mere tool in the hands of Devi. We can’t fight with the Karma and it effects by ourselves. But if we surrender to Devi, she will protect us from every danger, every day and everywhere. Devi gives us happiness and sorrows. When we have earned the grace of Devi, there is no need to worry at all!”


The kings were happy to see the faith Sudarsanan had on Devi. They returned to their camps.

Prarabdha Karma are the part of sanchita karma, a collection of past karmas,
which are ready to be experienced through the present body (incarnation).[1]

“Prarabdha is that portion of the past karma which is responsible for the present body.

That portion of the sanchita karma which influences human life in the present incarnation is called prarabdha.
It is ripe for reaping. It cannot be avoided or changed. It is only exhausted by being experienced.

Prarabdha karma is that which has begun and is actually bearing fruit.
It is selected out of the mass of the sanchita karma.” –

"யார் இந்தப் பெண் நாணத்தோடு பார்க்கிறாள்?
நீர் ஏன் புன்னகைக்கின்றீர் அவளிடம் அடிக்கடி?"

மோஹம் கொண்டுள்ள இந்தப் பெண்ணோடு - கோ
லோகத்தை விட்டு வெளியே சென்று விடுங்கள் !

விரஜையோடு இருப்பதைக் கண்டேன் நான்;
விரஜை உடனே மாறிவிட்டாள் ஒரு நதியாக!

விரஜை இங்கே வந்துள்ளாள் இப்போது - நீர்
'விரஜை!' என்றால் வருவாள் சுயவுருவோடு!

சோபையோடு கலந்தீர் சண்பக வனத்தில்;
சோபை மாறிவிட்டாள் சந்திர காந்தியாக!

அளித்தீர் அவள் சந்திர காந்தியைப் பகிர்ந்து
ரத்தினம், பொன், மணி, மங்கையர் முகம்,

தளிர்கள், மலர்கள், பழங்கள், பயிர்கள்;
தேவ மாளிகை, அரசன் கோட்டைக்கு நீர்.

பிருந்தாவனத்தில் கூடினீர் பிரபையுடன்
பிரபை மாறிவிட்டாள் தேஜோ ரூபமாக!

பிரித்து அளித்து விட்டீர் அவள் தேஜசை
விழிகள், அக்கினி, யக்ஷர், கிம்புருஷர்,

உத்தமர், வைஷ்ணவர், சர்ப்பங்கள், ரிஷிகள்
அந்தணர், மங்கையர், புகழ் உடையவருக்கு!"

9#13b. RAdhA and Ganga (1)

O My Lord! Who is that Lady sitting by your side with a smiling countenance? She is enchanted with your beauty and is fainting away. Her whole body is excited with rapturous joy.

Hiding Her face with cloth She is frequently looking at you. You also smile at her with desires. Even in My presence in this Goloka, all these things take place!

One day I saw you intimately with the Gopi named SobhA! Hearing My footsteps, you ran away and SobhA went to Chandra mandala. The cooling effect of the Moon is due SobhA.

You divided Her SobhA among gems, jewels, gold, pearls, the face of women, Kings, leaves of trees, flowers, ripe fruits, corns, palaces, temples, purified materials, tender shoots, foliage and milk.

Thirdly, I saw you with gopi PrabhA in BrindAvan. You ran away on hearing My footsteps. PrabhA departed to the Solar atmosphere. This luster is fiery luminosity of the Solar atmosphere.

You divided PrabhA among Fire, Yakshas, lions, men, partly Devas, VaishNavAs, serpents, BrAhmaNAs, Munis, ascetics, and prosperous ladies.

#13f. சிந்தாமணி விநாயகர்

“தேவலோகம் ஒளியிழந்து வாடி நிற்கிறது.
தேவர்கோன் திரும்ப வேண்டும் இப்போதே!”

அன்புக் கட்டளை இட்டது தேவர்களின் குழூ;
பண்புடன் பதில் அளித்தான் தேவேந்திரன்.

“ஷடாக்ஷர மந்திரம் தொலைத்தது பாவத்தை.
கடாக்ஷம் பெறவேண்டும் கற்பக விநாயகரது!

பெருமானை பூஜித்து அருள் பெற்ற பின்னரே
திரும்புவேன் நான் சுவர்க்கம்; செல்வீர் நீவீர!”

தேவர்கள் சென்றனர் விடை பெற்றுக் கொண்டு.
தேவேந்திரன் சென்றான் கதம்ப வனத்துக்கு!

தடாகக் கரையில் எழுப்பினான் ஓர் ஆலயம்.
விடாமல் தவம் செய்தான் ஆயிரம் ஆண்டுகள்.

அன்ன ஆகாரம் இன்றிச் செய்த தவத்தால்
அண்ணல் மகிழ்ந்து தந்தார் தன் தரிசனம்

வேழமுகத்துடன், நான்கு கரங்களுடன்,
அழகிய பெருமான் அளித்தார் வரங்கள்.

“என்னாளும் குறையாத பக்தியைத் தாரீர்.
இந்நாள் முதல் சிந்தாமணி விநாயகர் ஆவீர்.

தீர்த்தம் ஆகவேண்டும் சிந்தாமணித் தீர்த்தம்;
தீர்ப்பீர் தொழுகின்ற அன்பர்கள் குறைகளை.

சகல கார்ய சித்தி அருள வேண்டும் ஐயனே!
சகல இடர்களும் விலக வேண்டும் ஐயனே.”

பணிந்து வேண்டினான் பக்தியுடன் இந்திரன்;
கனிந்து அளித்தார் கோரிய வரங்களை.

சிந்தாமணி விநாயகரைத் தொழுது தன்
சிந்தாகுலம் தீர்ந்தான் இந்திரன் அன்று.

சிந்தாமணித் தீர்த்தத்தில் நீ நீராடுவாய்;
சிந்தாமணி விநாயகரைத் தொழுவாய்.

சிந்தையைக் கலக்கும் நோய் மறையும்;
சொந்த உருவம் திரும்பும் நொடியில்.”

BHAARGAVA PURAANAM - PART 1

13f. ChintAmaNi VinAyakar.
“Swargga lacks luster without your presence. You must return to swargga immediately!” the DEvA insisted their king Indra.

Indra replied, “The shatAkshara mantra nullified my sins. But I must get the blessings of VinAyaka before I return to swargga. So I request all of you to go back to swargga now!”

The DEVa obeyed him. They took leave of him and went back to Swargga. Indra went to Kadambavanam. He built a temple at the bank of the thadAgam. He did penance there for one thousand years without food and sleep. VinAyaka was very pleased with him and gave him his dharshan.

Indra asked for these boons. “I must be blessed with undiminished bhakti to you. You must be worshiped as ChintAmaNi VinAyaka here. This theertham must become ChintAmaNi theertham. All the difficulties of the devotees worshiping you here must be removed and their problems rectified.”

VinAyaka blessed Indra with all the boons he sought. Indra worshiped the ChintAmaNi VinAyaka after bathing in the ChintAmaNi theertham. You too do the same and I am sure your disease will be cured in no time!” NArada advised to RukmAngathan.

3#19d. மணமகள் மறுப்பு

அதிஅழகான சுயம்வர மண்டபத்துக்கு
அதிக மகிழ்வுடன் வந்தனர் அரசர்கள்.

அலங்காரம் கவர்ந்தது கண்களைக் கருத்தை!
இலங்கினர் தேவர்கள் போல் அரியாசனத்தில்!

முழங்கின வீணை, மத்தளம், இசைக் கருவிகள்;
அழகுடன் விளங்கினாள் மணமகள் சசிகலை.

புதுப்பட்டு அணிந்து, பொன்னாபரணங்களுடன்,
புது மலர்மாலை அணிந்து, புது மணப்பெண்ணாக.

வாடியிருந்தது அவன் மதிமுகம் மட்டும் தான்!
“வாட்டம் ஏன் எனக் கூறு அருமை மகளே?

மணமாலையைக் கையில் ஏந்திச் சென்று ஒரு
குணவானைக் கணவனாகத் தேர்வு செய்வாய்.”

“காண்பர் காமத்துடன் சபையில் மன்னர்கள்,
ஆண்கள் முன்னால் நான் செல்லமாட்டேன்!

மனைவியாகவே எண்ணிக் காண்பர் அரசர்,
கணிகையைப் போல நான் நடக்க மாட்டேன்!

பதிவிரதைக்கு அழகு அல்ல இது போலப்
பல பேர் முன்னிலயில் ஆராய்ச்சி செய்வது!

பல காலமாக நிலவுகின்றது இது என்ற போதிலும்
கலவரம் அடைகின்றது என் மனம் அதையெண்ணி.

வரமாட்டேன் நான் சுயம்வர மண்டபத்துக்கு;
வரித்து விட்டேன் சுதர்சனனை மனத்தில்.

மணம் புரிவியுங்கள் இப்போதே எனக்கும்
மனம் கவர்ந்த சுதர்சனனுக்கும்!” என்றாள்.
