Rishikesanji , VBji and RRji are the founding members of the charity trust.Others can be coopted in course of time depending on need.

IMHO , small groups run well.

We can move on .

Meeting place is a minor issue .

VBji and rishikesanji can move to get the details for floating and registering the society and do the formalities for opening the account in a bank

these three can decide the initial corpus.

we can aim for atleast 10 members each from india and abroad for donations to start with

it is sensible to have only two denominations for donation rs 500 and rs 1000. for foreign 50 and 100 dollars . it is only a

suggestion . the group of founding members can decide .

The group can decide on who should be receipients -criteria .. we can concentrate on college education and can perhaps fund tuition fees.

I had gone to mahalaxmi temple in bombay . they fund college education and were receiving applications for that.when I was there. we can follow their example.

we can target the january 2015 session for funding a few. at least three to five students.

I am interested to serve as a volunteer to any Trust with all willingness.

No Office bearer business, No money transaction,etc. Would like to keep away from cash dealings.

I thank you for the trust you have in me and for the responsibilities entrusted through your postings.

I am willing to serve with the above conditions.

Dear friends, I feel happy that you are all eager to make a start and unless Mr Praveen gives his explicit approval and also give directions , how can we make the next move?
As some member has written we have to first identify the purpose & areas, & ensure that such purpose & beck kafirs also to be roughly discussed. Therefore, I feel that let a few of us who are ready to Sponsor get together & about 10 or more can meet first & then ideas could be concretised ?
Hope all agree I also propose that we should be known as per Real names & not the psudo( punai peyar)

I believe the so called super senior Member absolutely does not seems to have self control and go on bashing others taking advantage of so called seniority. Seniority does not give any Member, however senior they are, any right to disparagingly write about others. Seniority should reflect in their postings, unfortunately this Super Senior Member's reaction is not in good taste mostly.:sad:

Members who fail to treat others equally seems to have cheap mentality and never deserve any respect at all.:baby:

to establish a trust ,some paper work in required. I was only suggesting to put papers together so that a larger group can meet and give their inputs

any trust requires trustees as mandatory requirement.

if one has to give finance to the needy , money transactions cannot be avoided.

other alternative is use an existing trust of tamil brahmins [*******? or probus] . and members can contribute and see it goes for the intended purpose .-namely education

similarly temples can provide a platform for charity for education. I found that in mahalaxmi temple in bombay doing that.

ultimately if one believes in a cause, one can always find a way out

in fact all difficult things are simple if implemented by the committed .

If I get a feeling I just say it...sometimes it can be felt as negative or positive too.

Recently out here some friend of mine was going Hoo Haa over a person who seemed to be a Philanthropist and my friend wanted me to meet him.

I told my friend....usually from what I know big time business men who suddenly turn philanthropist have a secret hidden past where money was not earned the right way and as they age they start feeling guilty of what they had done before and start donating.

I feel that a true sincere person usually only donates small amounts becos he has no guilt of the past to make him wash his sins!

and I was right finally..that so called Philanthropist did finally admit to my friend that he wants to wash away his sins done in the past!

So RR ji..In forum we have mostly members who had earned money the right and sincere way..none of the them would have had a shady past..so none of them can become a Philanthropist of any kind.

So you can surely watch that this big time idea might not take off in a grand scale as planned.

If anyone can rope in a former criminal turned humane..may be it might take off.

There are enough charities and focused charities. It is not difficult to find a charity that meets one's special requirements - education, child welfare, veda patashala, scholarship for brahmins and subsects, women issues and even antim karyams.

One does not have to be great philanthropist or with shady past to contribute to charity .

most with hard earned money can always spare a few hundreds of rupees.

most go to tirupathi and such temples and put small money or pieces of gold in hundi.most are not rich or well off

but a specific cause like education ,not many middle class contribute.

if the receipients are well known say servants son or daughter, I tend to pay tuition fees for them.

It is a straight transaction and goes directly to beneficiary.

similarly if we come to know of such people - three or four can pool and give away a few thousands to fund a poor college student. no hassles of association or formalised

set up to act as enablers for pooling and giving money.

at best how much can we collect with 15-20 contributers - may be 30- 40 k per year . why not pass the hat around at a get together with three or four specific beneficiaries and be

done with it.

only we might not have formalised arrangements like bank accounts.

We are just discussing about the launch of a Trust for a good cause and we know we need to go miles on this. There are lot of formalities and procedures to be adopted. It is in fact an Herculean task.

What all that we need is a minimum encouragement.

If one is not interested he/she is free to keep away, need not discourage. But on the contrary this group has already started to offer its expert opinion which were unwarranted.

This is a small begining.

Well I am so happy there is definitely one Member, besides ‘drb’ who think that we are trying to do something good.

Keep it up Sir.

One thing is sure now that you have opened your mind and conveyed your opinion, this group will pounce upon you and you will be treated like an ‘untouchable’ like us.

Its not discouraging but rather just being direct.

There might be others like DRB,STC, R2D2 or C3PO who might be supportive..that is good to an extent but at the same time harsh reality is also needed to launch any project.

So I would be happy if members would work harder now to prove me wrong.

Dont take my negativism in the negative sense..try to see it as a "Prachodayat"..to propel everyone in action.

Only when faced with opposition does the human mind work better.

it is a matter of going to a website and registering online without going anywhere . pl go to society registration website and fill it

up and send . if you are not comfortable with other members , pl find one you relate to .

I did not expect you to get into unwanted transactions with others damaging the noble cause.

pl find out money for registration also

same goes for opening a bank account for society . pl find out banks requirements for opening an account in name of society .

these are not complicated .
