SIR- Mr. CHO, Editor of thuglak wonders in his latest editorial, why dmk chiefminister of t.nadu, M. Karunanidhi, who condemned damage to periar statue, did not similarly condemn the violent attacks on innocent brahmins! Mr. CHO! You should be happy that Karunanidhi has not so far openly 'welcomed' the attacks!!! but reports say that the goons may be spared after some time. who knows they may be rewarded with 'kalaimaamani' award or some other award or reward on some pretext or the other!!!

Mr. Cho why are you suddenly referring to Karunanidhi as kalaignar? I rememeber you said it is because Mr. Karunanidhi is aged! and so you feel embrassed to call him by name! is age alone a barometer for these types of respects? what about character? will you start calling Ramiah anbazagan as 'perasiriyar" and Ponmudi as "ponmudiyaar"(?) its sad to see thuglak descend to the level of nara.ram, junior vikatan and kumudam!!!!

SIR - Those want to represent to governor of t.nadu, chief justice oft.nadu or even chiefminister of t.nadu on the periar statue or any other issue can visit following links -

[email protected]= chief minister e mail
[email protected] email address of honble governor
[email protected] email address of honble high court of madras
I agree with the suggestion of Suresh. Let us all send thousands of email to the chief minister of tamilnadu, governor of tamilnadu, CJ of Madras High court and also to the PM, President, Supreme Court, and also the national human rights commission. Let the affected persons make complaints to National Human Rights Commission. Those members in Tamilnadu can giude the affcted persons to complain to National Human rights commission. Let us not take this lying down. I am writing email to all the authorities

SIR- Here is another question to MR. cho. CHO SIR! you are nowadays referring to dmk chief minister of t.nadu as 'Kalaignar ' on the pretext that he is aged and so, he deserves special respect! but Ramaiah anbazagan is more aged than M. karunanidhi! but you are not referring to the ramaiah as 'perasiriyar'(!) why sir???

SIR - Whatdo the initials EVR before the name of the periar denote? is it erode venkatappa romsomy? can anybody clarify?

SIR - Apologists of caste quotas always argue that caste quotas are necessary for deprived (?) sections who had faced untouchability for more than 5000 (!) years. but even in original indian constitution, caste quotas has been provided only for 10 years, only for sc/st. if 5000 yrs. discrimination charge is true, why did not fathers of indian constitution provide quotas for a larger perod? why not for larger sections? why not in more sectors? does it not prove that the '5000' yrs. discrimination charge if false, concocted and imaginary? moreover india has been ruled by 'secularists'(!) all over the country since 1947. before that british, french, danish portugese all ruled over india in various parts. before europeans, mughals, sikhs, buddhists, jains, non brahmins ruled all over india. so it has been centuries since brahmins ruled india! then how can they dominate the polity? if brahmins dominated the country inspite of the rule of other religions, that does that not mean automatically that all these religions- islam, christianity, buddhism, jainism, sikhism, nonbrahminism have failed all over india???

SIR- Noted economist Mr. gurumurthy, has written an informative and interestig article in recent issue of 'thuglak' gurumurthy says it was good that women in t.nadu did not follow the periar's policy of 'free sex','no marriage' and ' no chastity' !! he quotes from statistics how, women in sweden who followed above policies(?) are suffering from sex harassment, murder and all other forms of mental, physical torture. a very good article indeed. everybody must read it. it does not contain Mr. gurumurthy's opinions alone, but also statistics, facts and truths .

[SIR - Iam sure one day a film on shibu soren will be made in tamil in tamilnadu! Hero? who else but the discredited satyaraj! Heroine? as usual the much maligned kusbhoo!! The hapless gnana.rajasekaran(or is he raja gnanasekaran???) will be the director - as usual. The dmk chiefminister of t.nadu,. who always supports these types of nefarious activities, will sponsor the film out of tax payers money!!!

SIR - The decision of t.nadu dmk chiefminister m.karunanidhi to 'gift' 95 lakhs tax payers money to film 'periar' even before the film is released, is surprising! normally, governments allow tax free status to films based on their merit. in some cases films will be awarded - again based on merit. sometimes film producers will be given some amount to encourage them - again onbasis of merit of films they have produced. but all these things generally happen only afterfilm is released, and it has been viewed by concerned authorities. here a film producer is given 95 lakhs evenbefore production of film started! what will happen if film is vulgar and violent? will not tax payers money get wasted? will not the govt. get a bad name? dmk chief minister is not bothered about these things perhaps!!!

SIR -not surprisingly, dmk chief minister Dr. Karunanidhi has conferred a 'doctorate' on himself!! though technically govenor is vice chancellor of all universities, chief ministers do exert enough influence on universities. so the governor conferring 'doctorate' on chief minister is for all practical purposes the chief minister confering doctorate on himself!!!

SIR - more than politicians, i think judiciary must take blame for persistent increase and expansion of caste quotas all over india. politicians are using the draconian 9th schedule to include all provisions which are violating fundamental rights of a citizen, so that, courts cannot question them. but actually the 9th schdule itself is unconstitutional! how can a provision violating basic structure of constitution remain in the statute? if judiciary strikes down 9th schedule most of the political parties from dmk to congress, communists to rationalists will have to close down their shop!!!

Please send emails and sign the online petition

I agree with you Subra. As I said in an earlier post everyone should send letters/emails to President,PM,CM,Governor,MPs etc.

I am very disappointed to note that only a handful of our forum members have signed my petition online http://www.petitiononline.com/HPW1234/petition.html

We all have a choice of acting as if nothing happened and keep taking on insults, abuses and attacks on our community and hindus in general, something I call the ostrich mentality. Or we can start protesting against these acts in whatever small way we can by sending emails, signing the petitions etc. I strongly urge all members to send emails against these attacks and also sign the petition online.

Thanks
Ramki

[SIR- I thank ramki for drafting a petition on dmk govt.sponsored attack on brahmins int.nadu recently. i have signed this petition to president of india. i have also mailed to governor of t.nadu, high court of chennai, president of india separately and also prime minister. the links are:
[email protected]
pmindia.nic.in
the links for chiefminister of t.nadu, governor of t.nadu and high court of chennai have already been mentioned by me inthis posting earlier. please act fast members!!!

Dear Ramki:
I just saw your link to sign the petition to the President of India, which I did. I am extremely disappointed that out of over 560 members, only 11 so far have signed. This goes to prove that we still are not there together!

I think you should post your appeal by broadcasting it in all the forums. This will perhaps make all the members see your petition drive.

Thank you, Ramki, for taking the lead.

please sign the petition

I just saw shri silverfox's message and was appaled. In fact somehow this message about the petition skipped my attention and I was unaware abt it. I would like to thank silverfox for bringing it to everybody's attention. I went right ahead and signed it. I request all other to please got ahead and sign it as well.
I have a suggestion for ramki. Why dont u start a seperate thread informing the people about this petition. I think the lack of signatures is more due to the fact that people are not aware about this petition. I think we should see a better response if a thread is dedicated to this petition

Online Petition

Hi All,
It is a fact that we brahmins only talk, but do not act. When there are 600 members, only 11 people have signed. I feel the discussion in this forum remains only a discussion without any concrete steps. I feel that if no concrete steps are not taken with in a reasonable period of two to three months it is better we put a full stop to this Aratai Arangam in Cyber Space. As a first step let all the members sign this online petition and send the same to as many persons as possible and write emails to various authorities. I do not know what ******* is doing? I went to the website of ******* there was no discussion about the attacks. The Brahmin community will be decimated not by the action of those who are against us, but by our own inaction. Can we send an email to each member of this forum. May be members do not see the posts.
Subramanian

Well said, Subramanian.
I just had a talk with Ramki in the US and he tells me that some of our folks are afraid to sign because they dont want their names published!! What a bunch of woozies! If we don't have the guts or the backbone to stand up and be counted, then we might as well fold and put our tails behind our legs. I am incensed!
And.. thank you, Iyengar, for signing up. Please spread the word.
I am here in Chennai now. I did not see one news item when the current government has condemned the attacks on the innocent brahmins but the Hindu paper gleefully writes about the EVR statue being vandalized! (I will NOT call EVR as 'Periyar' because he is NOT.)

[SIR - As mentioned earlier, i think the clemency powers for governors and presidents should be abolished. it has enabled dr. abdul kalam to delay death penalty for afzal even though supreme court has ordered to hang him. it is said it may take even upt 5 yrs. for the mercy petition to be settled!! what will happen if afzal escapes before that and kills many more innocent indians? the indian govenment and president are not bothered about that because, they have full security! what about common man on streets?

email everybody!!

Hi everyone

I agree with you subra and silverfox. An email to everyone would also be a good idea. However I see 130 odd active members in this website. At least they should have some idea about this petition. Looks like only 10 percent of these "active" members are actually active. Neways lets see what comes of this petition. It will surely show us if we are all about talk and nothing else. I am doing my best about getting my friends to join this website. Many of them dont care enough, or dont realize the imminent danger that the community is in. I can only get assurances from them about joining this website. Beyond that its an individual's will.

Regards

Dear Iyengar:
Thank you for writing. I do agree with you that we can only ask our friends to join; we cannot force them! It is upto the individual to own up and be active. Like you said, these people are looking at the trees and not the forest; they may be comfortable in their own little world but sooner or later it is going come and bite them!
I cannot believe the attitude of most of our people!

SIR - DMK chief minister of t.nadu has tearfully and pathetically justified erection of periar statue in srirangam. he says periar is 'divine' (!) and revolutionary (?) even jinnah is considered divine and revolutionary by many people! should statue of jinnah then be erected at srirangam? of course patriots consider him as a traitor and rightyly so. periar is the jinnah of india!!

the dmk chief minister says there are many 'nude' statues in temples and so there is nothing wrong in periar statue being erected opposite temples! ironically these temples which have nude statues are all controlled by the same dmk govt.!! similarly in 1997 the dmk chief minister said 'fire walking' ritual of hindus is barbaric! but to date 'fire walking' has not been banned!! why should a barbaric practice be allowed to continue by govt??? is it also 'divine' and 'revolutionary'???????
the dmk chiefminister agrees alcohol consumption is bad for healh, but still he not only opened closed alcohol shops for public consumptin of liquor, but the dmk govt. itself 'sells' alcohol to people as if consuming alcohol is 'divine' and revolutionary!!!

SIR - The way newspapers in t.nadu handled 'periar' statue issue it is clear all the journals except 'thuglak' and 'dinamalar' have descended to the level of nara.ram and kanimozhi!!!! it seems they will even supprt installation of idol of K. veeramani of DK in temples instead of idols of gods!!!

Thanks Silverfox, Iyengar, and Suresh. I have reposted the online petition link as a new thread under discussions. Hopefully, more members can see it now.

Thanks
Ramki

[SIR = There was a time when dmk chief minister of t. nadu, M. Karunanidhi, compared periar with international leaders. now, he has delegated the periar to the level of nude statues!!! pathetic to see the lowly levels to which the periar has been pushed down by his own followers!!!!!!!

Actually, Hindus can resolve this problem by getting a little smart. As we know it's impossible to beat the adversary (they're way too powerful, aren't they?), why can't we turn disadvantage into advantage?

Instead of begging the govt., or petitioning some politician, why can't we start a campaign favoring EVR statue, saying it's a wonderful move, and that EVR has finally repented and is now begging for the Lord's forgiveness at Sri Rangam? Also add that no matter what, we will NOT allow the statue to be removed from around there, because it gives us a chance to see EVR prostrating in front of our beloved Lord.

Or, something to that effect. You get the picture, right? Either they'll remove statue and we rejoice, or they won't remove it and we continue to relate the statue to EVR's permanent prostrations to our Lord. Either way, we win.:clap2:
