immediate attention and concern about our community

it is nice to be a member, though I am from Andhra Pradesh. We all have to think how to improve our situation, strengthen, and act unitedly. We should have a "think tank" and we all have to implement it for our welfare. Unfortunately, from time immorial, Every brahmin was highly individualistic. One way it is really great thing, as this community was enriched with ideas and were better placed. But there was no unity which had led to our down fall. The need of the hour is Unity let it be brutal majority . Otherwise , we can not protect ourselves. We all to persist , we all have a common goal, otherwise, we wil be perished. Let us stop thinking about God for at least some time think about our welfare. please suggest the ways and means. let us do constructive work. awaiting all your opiniosn.... M.P. RAMA RAO

Being God's witness in Work Place

Welcome Iyer@Infosys.

But I am not able to understand the inherent irony/ incongruency in your statement quoted above.

Greeetings.

Beloved Brother SuryaKasyapa

Greetings in the Love of the Most High God. Thank you for your feedback. Nice to meet you through this forum.

May I know what is Ironical or Incongruent about my statement?

Perhaps you are of the conception that to serve God one has to quit secular jobs, dorn saffron robes, renounce everything, prefix your name with swami, rev etc, start an institution and globe trot preaching some scriptural sermons.

In my humblest opinion, one can serve God while yet in a secular job. After all jobs are provided us by God as per His perfect will so that we are living testimonies of God, to the distressed colleagues around us so that they see Godly character traits in us and believe in God, trust in God, Love God, lean on Him and depend on Him for everything. It is one thing to believe in the existence of God but it is an entirely different thing to trust in Him, depend on Him, love Him with all your heart, soul and spirit. To sum it all up it is important to be God's disciple and be His witness wherever we are, even in workplace.

In the present corporate world, people experience stress, tension, depression etc in an unprecedented scale. People crave for promotions and increments. Psychological conditions in work place is miserable. Values and Virtues are eroding. Hardly do you find sincerity, faithfullness, truthfullness, punctuality, ethics and etiquette etc. People make desperate attempts to please their superiors rather than please God. People seek materialistic benefits rather than God's kingdom and God's righteousness.

You need God's Holy Spirit in you who gives power to be His witness. The only solution for people's problems is God and we who are God's children and disciples are their guide. When our colleagues see us calm and composed regardless of circumstances, when they see in us the fruit of God's Holy Spirit (Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering, Goodness, Faith, Gentleness, Meekness, Temperance), when they see God's character and virtues in us, when they are inspired by our conduct, attitude, disposition etc, when they see us channels of God's blessing, when they see us making the work place a heaven for them, when they see us translating a cumbersome work into an interesting activity, when they see us unique and different from the rest, they approach us to know the factors that make us who we are and they desire to emulate us. They begin to trust in God, besides believing God, they aspire to be God's disciples.

I appreciate your high standard of vocabulary which I may not match. But I trust with my simple words I have made my viewpoints clear.

May God Bless you.

With Agape and Phileo

new member

Hello
I wish to introduce myself as a new member. very much interested in knowing the science involved in the routine given by our elders. Our munnorgal knew lot of science and it is amazing to know their reasoning power.

let us work together for the welfare of this community. Once upon a time, it was the community who had shown light to this world through their deeds, selfles sacrifices. Guided this part of the world to path to achieve the utmost in life. But 2day their very survivial is at stake due to jealousy of others. Let us work together and cultivate cohesiveness and unity . At least once generation work for the cause to bring back our glory. We have lost the Sanskrit language due to our own mistake as we kept it with us. Similarly other knowledge which supposed to be shared by each and every body so tht it's survival would have been ensured. i am waiting for your suggestions. let us meet with a noble cuase. My worry about poor people in our caste who should not be left . Let us give a helping hand. start. it is no use in thinking , thinking without implementing.

Introduction

Hi Everybody

I am Ram Ramarathnam, originally hailing from Tiruvarur, Tamilnadu. I graduated from IIT Madras in Electrical Engineering and took M. Tech & Ph.D degrees from IIT Bombay. After working for two companies for about 7 years in Vadodara and Hyderabad, I came back to Chennai to start my own company. I am presently the MD of this group which specializes in Energy Conservation & Renewable Energy Products. Its R & D is recognized by Govt of India.

I am married to Yegnalakshmi for 39 years and she hails from Thrissur, Kerala. We have two lovely daughters and both are settled in USA and are professionals themselves. They live in Dallas & Boston respectively. Both my son-in-laws are also professionals working for reputed companies in US. The elder one has twin daughters and the younger one has one daughter.

I am passionate about environment & ecology and even my business centres around these. I am also very active in developing appropriate technologies for rural development, particularly in Water & Energy. I am very active in a trust formed by my classmates of IIT Madras and we work very closely with IIT Madras to develop cost effective solutions in the two areas.

I live with my wife and mother in Annanagar West Extension in Chennai.

I have travelled widely in the northern hemisphere.

hi everybody, normally i dont want to be seen as a particular community guy.but i would like to share my views ,first of all everybody is a human being, born as a brahmin i strongly beleive brahmanism,to spread this we have to first of all eradicate the difference between iyer and iyengar.i have seen more iyenagars who dont like or prey shiva, amman, pillayar etc.it is better all hindus can follow or prey on particalr symbol instead of so many gods.it will create unity and socialism.anything like om.we should do group prayers to know each others problems.so always say OM irrespective of cast or community.your viwes are welcome

welcome to the forum on this auspicious deepavali day.

to the best of my knowledge, there do reside, both iyers and iyengars in both the londons that i know.

there may be other londons, that i may not have heard of, and perhaps no iyers or iyengars reside there.

hope this satisfies your query. :)

Hi folks,
i am anand from sydney. i am a complimentary health prctitioner & have been working in the field for the past 20+ years.
i was interactive with your site while checking about shivambu & read some of the contents of posts filed.
just thought people may like to know more of shivambu work.
shivambu is an ancient knowledge handed down by shiva to parvati.
it contains about 106-108 slokas in sanskrit.
they are under the title 'shivambu kalpa vidhi & talk about all the different aspects of use of urine as therapy for preventive health & curative effects.
urine is presently being used for curing so called incurable diseases such as cancers, kidney stones, etc to list a few of the scary & life threatening ones.
most health problems seem to respond favourably to shivambu treatment if one practises it with guidance & persistence.
for more details please follow up with shivambu sites, or quiz me or follow some self help sites in shavambu groups @yahoo.cm & [email protected]
look forward to sharing with people any other info & learning from others about the world around us
good luck & good health
anand
