Dear Balagopal Uncle :

I hv read your message. As you are about 60+ and you are trying to concentrate your forefathers details now. I think you had wasted your young days and I doubt there will be anyone elder than you in your native place. If you happened to meet an elderly person in your native place or in your family circle then there may be a bleak chance of getting some minimum information. Or else if you know the village from where your forefathers migrated then you can approach village people to get some information. With regard to Iyers migration information you can visit www.keralaiyers.com in which you can get much information how iyers migrated to Palghat during Raja Raja Cholan period that too with some muslim disturbance. Better than this I don't have any idea. Atleast for your next generation you should try your best to know he forefather's details as stated above.

dear shri.vk.swamy, thanks for your mail.as you have rightly pointed out, i should have started when i was young.anyway trying at anytime is not wrong, there may be people whose family also migrated along with my forefatheres.yes, i think you have pointed out correctly the migration period-during raja raja cholan's reign-historicaly there was a problem between nambuthris and tamil brahmins-outcome is migration on both sides!-nambuthris were trying to dictate terms to the king, the king had to send them out instead of killing them-as killling brahmins was considered to lead to brahmahathi!

dear shri.anantharaman, you are fortunate to be in anandashram-as chanting god's name is the only way to attain peace in this kaliyuga!
with best wishes

Thanks Balagopal:
I must thank my ancestors for bestowing on me the blessings and for leading me on to the spiritual path.
Our effort now is to ensure that the next generation gets the same privilege that we got so that they will also eventually lead a spiritually supported normal life.
As you rightly said Nama Japa is the only way. Let us revive the age old practice of daily Nama japa in every house - all members sitting together - at a given time, without fail. This will shower peace not only on all inmates of the house but also on in the vicinity, like the fragrance of an agarbathi wafting through the air and pleasing many.

Dear Sri Balagopal uncle :

Thanks for not taken the contents of my mail in a wrong manner. I mentioned "you should have started much earlier" because you have crossed now 60 and meeting more elderly person than you is certainly difficult.

If you want some article about Brahmin migration and how Gothram started I can send you just for your reading. Upon receipt of your reply I will forward to your personal email. Pls. mention your email also in yr msg.

With respects,
VKSWAMY
