Thank you, Dr Bhavani

Nice to get in touch with you through Tamil Brahmins site. Glad that you were a former inhabitant with illustrious in-laws at Gujarati Road, which I think was the former New Road. Kochi, or Mattancherri for that matter has undergone little changes compared to Ernakulam, yet change is constant. Pl stay in touch. Regards

wow! one more Chandrasekharan from the "Sastrigal" family of Parur! Sri GovindaSastrigal, (ammini-mami's father?) and my grandpa (LawSubbayyar) were friends, and next generation, my father, 'Kolathu-mama' (VenkateswaraIyer) and 'Ramanatha-mama' were very close buddies: i have been to the LeslieHouse in ParvanaMukku long long ago, as a teenager. my school day memories include two Chandrasekharans (Rajendra-mama(vakil)&Kuttan(MavoorRayons?) of that Parur family. Thank you v much for picking up this thread, dear Doctor. This TamBr forum has a magic touch, i think, of linking up some old threads! -- regards, lvngly, rj. (Mani-mama was also a ChandraSekharan? i think he shifted to Coimbatore from Parur -- briefly met his daughter Chitra some five years ago)

Many of the existing and newly joining members do not disclose their location. It is better all of us disclose our location to appear on the right side of our letters along with join date etc( not like India, Canada ) but the exact town of residance, it will be easier for contacting and conducting some useful events of our community in that particular town. Pl give it a thought.
