Dear Ms. Kalyani:
I must congratulate you for your bold, progressive and the right thing to do - looking for alliances from any sub-sect of Brahmins. I wish your family all the best.

Ms Kalyani,

Giving up the differences of Iyer, Iyengar, Madhva is the first step in unification of all the brahmins. It is really nice to see that you are taking the first step.

Please go through other threads where we are having discussions on alliances of different language speaking brahmins. I am not suggesting you to venture into it but at-least give your valuable opinion.

All the best

Namaskaram,

I am Sathya - Sathyanarayanan, born and brought up in Ooty. Upbringing was quite cosmpolitan and hence was more a brahmin in name than practice. Slowly, I am now getting more and more into what being a brahmin is (beyond rituals and habits alone).

My ancestry from Fathers side is Mannargudi and Mothers Side from kalyanapuram near Tiruvaiyar

I am a corporate trainer by profession and am also building a retirement village near Mettupalayam called Melur Meadows. I am doing my best to keep it cosmopolitian, however, I find that most of the people coming to me are Brahmins.

I am planning the upanayanam of my first son this year.

Would love to connect with people who want to discuss the essence of Brahminism.

OM Namah Shivaya

Being new to this site, I'd like to tell you more about me. I was traditionally consecrated Swami Swarupananda Sivadass Giri. Years later I received Paramahamsa Diksha and ultimatemately made a Mahamandaleshwar with the name Mahamandaleshwar Paramahamsa Swarupananda Vishwa Guru Maharaj Swami.

Most of my day is spent in reading various Kashmir Shaivite Trika texts and on occasion hosting Swamis and others. I give Darshan on Monday evenings, with Satsang and Meditation. Being a monist my message is simple. "There is nothing that is not God"

I look forward to learning much as part of my stay here on this site.

chandru

Chandru is very modest in his postings.

Before our Coimbatore NS event, he came in contact with us and he volunteered for coimbatore event. He along with few of his friends came all the way from Trivandrum to Coimbatore. We first met him only at Coimbatore and he &his friends did wonderful voluntary service during the event.

On the sidelines of Coimbatore event, we discussed about conducting the program at TVM. He continuously followed the subsequent the whole thing and fixed the date on 11th JUly, 2010. He has done wonderful job in Trichy event publicity also through cable channels.

He is planning TVM event meticulously planning and the same is getting reflected at the execution level also. Like Sri Sabesan and his team at Bangalore, Chandru & his team are a wonderful addition to our NS event. Online registrations have already crossed 200 plus with substantial participation of girls. I am sure we may cross 300 and touch even 400 registrations for the event.

Our community in Kerala is highly charitable minded and are supporting him with donations liberally. We have already exempted registration fee for girls and we have also made arrangements to provide `Annadhanam' to the participants. All these things are possible just because one committed gentleman `CHANDRU'.

He along with our community members have travelled to Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari and Tuticorin districts of Tamilandu made excellent publicity for our event. Personally I am getting lot of phone calls from these areas to conduct a program at Tirunelveli.

I am sure TVM event will make a new opening for boys to overcome the shortage of girls prevailing now.

We want more and more `Chandrus' for our forum

All the best
