The easiest musical instrument to play....

and the most effective for a successful living...?

It used to be second :violin:!

Now it is the Jalra!

It is even more effective when it is mutual. :drum:

A note on warning to those who use lol liberally!

In a forum where Tamil and English have equal importance

lol can be read as the sound made by man's best friend!

I will be extra careful if my name rhymes with the sound. :scared:

LOL kinds of reminds me of the Tamil word LOLLU.
So VR Ji..we can start this new word now..LOLLU!!!!

dear Renu,

A peron with Venus in the First house might end up being a VICTIM of flirting.

I am talking about those who pretend to be very shy and coy
but are very comfortable with all endearing terms from the opposite sex. :shocked:

My P.C does not accept certain words.

It implies that they are outdated and changed now.

1. metre => meter.

2. centre => center.

3. litre => liter.

4. favour => favor.

5. honour => honor.

6. flavour => flavor.

So Liter IS the unit of volume.

The perpetual doubters may learn to check up in the Internet for the

benefit of everyone involved.

Its better they dont enter other wise my "Ram" might get a shock to see how his "Seeta" becomes a "Surpanakha" at times.
Hi Renu,

Good observation! But for your kind information, I showed 'that' portion
to Ram and he was :bounce:

I remember reading the words of Bharathi: ரௌத்ரம் பழகு!

And I thought the great poet has to be given due respect!! :hail:

Raji Ram :cool:

Yes, dear Sis! And I think you stand :first: in this forum too!!

PS: Bringing to your kind notice! I have NOT given any likes so far...

If I like something I write back... You guys are toooooo liberal!

Cool!! Do not slow down............... :car:

Dear sister gives 'Like' when her sibling is compared to Surpanakha!!

Hmmm ............Life is like that!!!
:der:

I did not call my dear sister Renu as Surpanaka!

She called herself the name!

It was a clever post since it carried the simile one step further!

So I liked it.

I used the names RAMAN and RAVAN carefully

just to AVOID any unintended reference to the name Ram!!!

In spite of everything....!!!

My elder son did research on Chaos Theory for his doctorate.

He always says," Life is so much more fun since human behaviour is

completely unpredictable and so to say choatic in nature!" :high5:

He is perfectly correct! :clap2:

If our behavior is one hundred percent predictable...

we will become machines or robots!

I usually am denied what I want and forced to have what I do not really

care for! :bored:

Nice training given by life to develop equanimity I guess! :ballchain:

Certain periods in a person's life remain unforgettable in a weird way.:scared:

That period in my life was from 1994 to1998.:clock:

Usually I feel that I have some control over my life!

(Self deception of the highest order?!).

It does NOT necessarily mean that I felt on top of the world!:nono:

But I felt I had some control over things and events in my life.

But my life would not come under any regular pattern/ formula!

That time I believed my son who told me,

"The Chaos theory I do research on, is so much simpler and less

complicated than your life!"

How would you like to be in a similar situation??? :whoo:

IT is so true what your sons is saying, sometimes, in spite of what we want, life takes its own turn, and we have no control on the events and just watch the way they unfold.. it is as if you are the puppet and it is being pulled by unknown strings.. but again, when you wake up, you do wake up and take control over your life and that is the best feeling.. at least you know and conscious of your actions.. but again, we gain the lesson and move on.. :-)
I enjoyed what you have written Visalakshmi
Best!

Subhalakshmi :-)

Dear Subalakshmi,

Thank you for your feedback! :yo:

Once a teacher... always a teacher! :nerd:

We become compulsive correctors of misatakes inherently.

We tend to become compulsive teachers and preachers.

May NOT be all teachers! But many people like me do!

It is NOT necessary and Nobody likes it either.

So let people make their mistakes and learn to correct them if

they want to. I Don't have to do it for them :) and get scolded in

return!

And my name is Visal + akshi = Visalakshi.

I hope I am allowed to correct the spelling misatake in my own

name without people :lol: ing and jumping at my throat!!

with best wishes and regards,
Mrs. V.R.
