The musk oxen of Canada, Greenland and Alaska defend themselves by forming defensive rings, from the attacking wolves.
Females and the young ones are in the middle of the circle. All the male wall around them with their horns pointed outside.
If any wolf dares to come close enough, it will be caught by a male and thrown into the circle, using its horns.
The females join in to finish off the wolf by trampling on and stamping it to death.
Wolves operate in groups but the musk-deer form larger groups and deal with the wolves!

Several frogs lived in a well. They had a good natured king whose patience was uncommon. The baby frogs would sit on his back or even his head. They would play near him freely.
Some of the frogs did not like this kind king. "He demands no respect! He deserves no respect. A king must be good looking, glamorous, frightening and able to control everyone including the baby frogs."
So they invited a black cobra to become their new king.
The cobra readily agreed to this irresistible offer.
He was strict with everyone and commanded a lot of respect. He could strike fear in the hearts of all his citizen.
Soon he started devouring one by one all his citizens. There was nothing they could do to stop him.
So they became wise after the event but it served no purpose except that of the cobra.

dharshan of Chandikeswarar. We are not supposed to go around the

creed or colour. This is like an ornamental vision, sometimes it is also called
in Tamil "Dakshanyam". In order to denote this, there is a remarkable representation
in the Temples of India, where the Deities are consecrated. If you take for example,
Madurai, Kancheepuram, Kashi are generally interlinked as prominent temples, where
the Deity has its own supreme power. If we closely watch, the names of the Deities
are related to the eye. In Madurai, the Ambal is called as Meenakshi - to be interpreted
as she has eyes like Fish. As the Fish with wide angled lens protects its breeds very
safely, Ambal Meenakshi protects all her devotees from all troubles, distress, pain or sorrow,
sufferings and stress, etc. Ambal Kanchi Kamatchi fulfills the desires of her worshippers
with her visionary blessings. As regards Kashi Visalakshi, having a wide eye vision, SHE
never fails to take of care of her Devotees to look after their welfare. Hence, these
Goddesses are called in Tamil "Karunai Sindhum Vizhigal."

on the head of the bride and Mantras are chanted. It has another purpose is that by
dropping a water on the Gold ornament, if she has any disease that will get cured.
Both of them have to have mutual trust and genuine concern for the welfare of each
other. Prior to wedding, Girls or boys may lead a very care free life. They go to bed
after seeing TV or get up late because of late sitting in the studies. They hurry up in
the morning either to the College or Job. As they do not have adequate time to spare
for their own personal needs, parents take care of their necessities. Lapses are not
magnified by the parents and even not discussed at home. Besides, prior to wedding,
in olden days, Girls are taught (being not employed) in cooking and home management
tasks. These days, boys generally including in-Laws prefer only job-related or employed
girls only from the economical point of view. Well to do housewives (if they are not in a
nucleus family) employ maid servants to take care of house hold things and that relieves
them from domestic routines. But unfortunately if the Girl is not employed, she will have
a miserable life at the hands of mother-in-law and sister-in-law, etc. Actual sufferer is
Girls and not boys always.

A marathon general body meeting from 11 A.M till 3 P.M!!!
It turned out to be an anti-climax for the heat and sound it created.
The people who had opted to become the new office bearers
were either out of station or left the hall just before the new committee was formed. (Prior understanding/ arrangement?)
So it is the same old committee back in power .

God knows what will be our plight for the next two years with the king and his well trained "magalir ani" who stopped just short of the traditional dance they are famous for.

It turned out to be an anti-climax for the heat and sound it created.
The people who had opted to become the new office bearers
were either out of station or left the hall just before the new committee was formed. (Prior understanding/ arrangement?)
So it is the same old committee back in power .

திருமணம் என்று ஒன்று நடந்தால்...
1. we are not welcome to visit USA .
2. We are not welcome to stay with our son.
3. In future he may not be allowed to visit us.
4. Since we can't go there, the girl's parents may go
and settle down their daughter and my son.

In a cartoon show (?) a man is asked to volunteer for tough task by taking a step forward.
All but one would take a step backwards and make that man appear as a volunteer.
It is not enough to lead a struggle, but we have to make sure that the others do not turn into nice mice and sweet lambs all of a sudden!
But the whole blame is not on them either.
The team had three weeks' time to go from house to house and threaten the persons who had signed demanding a meeting.
Despite that 13 out of 35 were stubborn and held the ground and only 22 gave in due to various reasons.
But for the signatures they would have NEVER conducted a meeting - marathon or otherwise.
Such is life!
