The mystery is LOST since everyone KNOWS that
No = May be and
May be = Yes.
That is called as ambiguity in English,
since we say something and men something else!
People KNOW that everything is NEGOTIABLE with MOST women
since they are practical and down to earth.
Very good explanation.
Everyone knows about Valluvar and Vasuki - the most ideal couple. :hug:
Valluvar had once instructed Vasuki to keep a needle and a cup of water along the plantain leaf used for eating.
Everyday she kept them and they were never ever used for any purpose.
Just before dying, she wanted to know, "Why the needle and the cup of water with the food?"
Velluvar replied,"If any grain of cooked rice (annam) falls on the floor, I wanted to pick it up with the needle, rinse it in the cup of water and eat it also. But you have never spilled even one grain of rice. So I never needed to use it even once!"
What would be Valluvar's reaction to the massive amount of good, costly and tasty food wasted during every celebration now??? :whoo:
This is just artha-vada by valluvar is it not?
What could he have done if sambhar or rasam or thayir was spilt by vasuki?
She who would not spill even a jumpy grain of rice
would never spill the others for sure!
Now two questions emerge:
(i) Did it take valluvar one lifetime to realise that Vasuki wil not spill even one grain of rice;
(ii) what made valluvar so certain that vasuki will not spill liquids at all, given he was careful how to treat the spilt grains?
Provisional conclusion: This is a later day interpolation by fans of valluvar-vasuki.
I had said "everything" and NOT EVERYONE.
Remember the M. I. law is also another WOMAN!
I stayed away for a few hours from the forum and could type the next four Tamil poems and also type their English translations.
How much of time I have wasted in the chitchats which have neither permanent value nor deserve to be saved in the archives!!!
But the moot question is whether Oscar Wilde will come tops against random posts. Seems like a losing battle for Mr. Wilde.
The situation is best described thus...
instead of picking away the small stones from the rice,
one may have to pick out grains of rice from loads of small stones!!!
Is such a Salladai available???
How did I forget HIS name???
