One has to extend heartiest karunai/affection towards others and he/she
gets loved in turn. If that situation prevails, then the great virtues viz. forgiving,
greater understanding, compassion, integrity/honesty, sympathy/kindness,
truthfulness, justice, and tranquility etc would also get developed simultaneously.
Everyone possess knowledge and that needs to be kindled so that the soul gets
more clarity and qualities like self healing/self awareness gets energized.
India had produced many Saints and Maharishis. Many have explained and
shown the path to derive the divine energy through various scriptures.
India has been in the arena of ancient teachings for thousands of years and
many have learnt highly valuable information that were unearthed from palm
leaf manuscripts. In fact they were the tools at one stage to learn spiritual
procedures about mantra. tantra, etc. These procedures had created an
awareness in the soul to have a true experience of the Supreme Power and
has given a great enlightenment.

I am all being open minded but can the followers of sanatana dharma explain why people are looking into shirdi sai baba keeping aside vedic gods like Lord Maha Vishnu and Maha Siva ? I see the Hanuman temples and Lord Krishna temples also are removing deities and placing sai baba here ?
Sai Baba always remained a devout muslim and followed islamic rituals of killing animals and eating flesh. But when he was nearing his death, he strongly insisted that his dead body if he dies be sepulchered in Hindu temple of Lord Krishna which was located nearby. I have a question for all the devotees of baba

Samadhi is common practice among Vedic saints and sages. Disciples of sai baba wrongly pose sai baba’s mazar as samadhi structure. They don’t know the major difference between Samadhi(Jiva Samadhi) and dying out of illness. Samadhi is death at will while sai baba died due to long term illness and not at his will. So sai baba cannot be even compared to ordinary pious Sadhus or Sages who took Samadhis but never boosted or called themselves as gods. Sai charitra mentions that sai baba died of prolonged illness, NO WHERE in Bharat one worships a dead body THINK!!!!

Baba said: I am going to kill goat in mosque, He told Shama to ask Haji what he likes to eat “meat of goat or it’s testicles”.

A feeble, weak goat was brought in the mosque for sacrificial killing. Baba asked for knife to kill the goat.

(2)तब बाबा ने काकासाहेब से कहा कि मैँ स्वयं ही बलि चढ़ाने का कार्य करूँगा।
-:अध्याय 23. पृष्ठ 162.

Then Baba told Kakasaheb that he will himself carry out this sacrificial killing of goat.

(3)फकीरोँ के साथ वो आमिष(मांस) और मछली का सेवन करते थे।
-:अध्याय 5. व 7.

Baba used to feast on meat, fish with fakirs.

(4)कभी वे मीठे चावल बनाते और कभी मांसमिश्रित चावल अर्थात् नमकीन पुलाव।
-:अध्याय 38. पृष्ठ 269.

Sometimes Baba used to make sweet rice other times meat biryani.

That Ekadashi Baba gave Dada Kelkar some money to bring meat. Dada Kelkar was devout Brahmin and always followed Vedic rituals, but still Baba made him bring this meat.

Would any sane Hindu or vedics follow Sai Baba, who was always practicing islam and staunch muslim, and who insisted on removal of Lord Krishna pious murti from Bihari ji’s temple to replace with his illness ridden dead body. Worshipping a dead body is like worshipping a preta and you become preta

The Honorable Choice

1. A “right” an act which is done with the full awareness and guidance of one’s conscience.

2. You know instantly when you are in the wrong. Your heart is the first to let you know that there was purity lacking in the act performed.

3. If you have failed in pleasing your conscience you will never be at peace.

4. Do not think that a wrong done in the past can be buried in the heart. At some point the turbulence will surface once again and demand for your attention and efforts to cleanse it.

5. First place yourself fully and completely in the hands of God. Fill yourself with His Glorious Smile. Reflect His joy that flows within you. Then only give your mind the permission to think. Every thought that enters then shall be filtered by the faith of the Lord’s presence that flows within you.

6. Be aware of goodness alone. Do not attach yourself to the efforts and gains. The moment you become aware of that you will lose the spontaneity of being good and will instead begin to focus and will instead begin to focus on the “prepared” act of goodness!

7. Your first duty is to honor and listen to the voice of the conscience. Your every other duty depends on how much you are able to follow your first duty…

8. Even the slightest disobedience to the conscience can cause turmoil within.

9. You live with your Self first… How much you respect your Self will show in how much you respect all else and others at all times.

10. You may begin an act with the right intention and then in the midst of it sway from it. Don’t defend yourself by remembering your initial intention... instead find where you lost yourself… find the place where the right intention slowly turned toward a fearful expectation.

11. If you are in the complete truth… if you have honored the inner voice of God… if you have believed at every moment in your Self then there is nothing to prove to anyone. Time will tell the story… all you need to do is to be patient and immersed in God’s will.

12. Whenever you have deceived your conscience it will be apparent in the fear your eyes shall hold. However much you may try to hide it, the one of pure heart shall see the fear and know the untruth that hides within.

13. The one that declares his consciousness will disrespect his Self. When one disrespects his Self he will be ashamed within, no matter what fame…and worldly wealth he gains in life.

14. The conscience will always be impartial to desire. That is why a man that harbors his desire shall always be pulled toward the thoughts of his gain rather than the voice of truth that roots him in purity and simplicity.

15. The Guru is within you… No matter how much you fail to follow the voice of truth… He shall continue to guide you from within. He shall never blame you or pin you down to the acts of your past. He awaits you full attention… your complete awareness of Him residing within you. And once you have turned toward Him and held His hand you shall slowly take the steps of transformation in which you witness your own misunderstanding of your Self walk toward the realization of the truth that you are… was… and always will be…

The unmistakable sign of rain is the wetness of the ground. So too, the sign of an educated person, who has had several years of schooling is good manners. Such a person will be humble knowing that the field of knowledge is so vast that even after years of learning one has hardly touched its fringe. They must also be aware of their kinship with all beings and must show a keenness to serve others gladly, at all times, without any desire for publicity. The educated children must move with everyone in a friendly manner, without inhibitions, knowing that God is the moving force in everyone. God is behind all good impulses and useful attitudes. All of you are separate beads, strung together on one common thread, which is God.

Here, I would like to take the example of a Guru, who is on the same platform
of a Teacher. A teacher and a Guru can enlighten a person in driving away the
darkness or ignorance in a person by timely advice or clear instructions to
proceed in the right path to attain the desired or determined goal in life.
Guru has to work with the disciple to find out the emotional, feelings or/
and behavioral disorders in accepting the truth or the fact of existence of
the Supreme Power, so as to a build a positive step towards self-awareness
in accepting the truth. Though it depends on the willingness of the disciple
identifying his/her mental status, the Guru has to draw up a strategy
to raise more questions regularly to the disciple on various issues of bhakthi-devotional
exercises and make the disciple think deeply. The periodical interaction will make
a way in the minds of the disciple a method of self-education in emotional modes.
It may not be a stereotype one instead it has to develop a feeling of
generalizations. In this process, self-awareness gets probably developed and
one can overcome from unawareness and an urge could be instigated to react
in the minds of the disciple. Some examples of conflict situations could also
be posed and can find how the disciple responds. If this exercise is regularly
conducted, the disciple will conduct himself/herself prepared to obtain
complete awareness for the necessity to worship, pray, etc.

A person or an institution is to be judged according to their integrity, whether their acts are according to the principles professed. The mind, the body, and the word - all three must work in unison. When work (Karma) is thus disciplined and regulated, automatically your senses will become sublimated and you will attain everlasting Prasanthi (inner peace). From this will arise Prakanti (the great light), and from that will emerge Param Jyoti (Supreme Illumination). That Illumination will reveal the Paramatma (Divinity) present within you! You must achieve that success by following the path laid out for you – conquer anger and desire, achieve love through the practice of incessant meditation (Japa-Dhyana), which will lead to the blossoming of the lotus of the heart and the emergence of Divinity from within you!

- Divine Discourse, Nov 23, 1964

Divinity is all pervasive. Thoughts and actions are inter-related
which results in destiny. In other words, the inter-relation is nothing
but Karma. Good deeds drives away the misery, ignorance and leads
to positive thinking. One has to develop a right attitude towards
right thinking and develop a purity of mind. If that is done incessantly
it will automatically take a person towards spiritual enhancement besides
wisdom and enables to attain the divine bliss. One must have some
sort of control towards emotional deeds. No doubt feelings and
emotions are human nature. Here, one has to exercise some sort of
strict self-control and that control alone will guide a person to do a
good deed. Spiritual endeavours viz. Japa, Dhyanam, Meditation, etc.
can take a person to attain purity of mind and heart. Ego makes
a person to commit wrong deeds and sometimes creates greediness,
jealousy, impatience, prejudiced views, etc. One cannot escape from
Karma, which makes a person to suffer from misery and hardship in
life. Yet another way to attain purity of mind is to get away from
negative thoughts. Sometimes maya too can trap a person while
getting an enlightenment. Once a person gets enlightment, he/she
achieves immense joy and intimacy towards the Supreme Power.

SAIRAM
When you meet each other, do not shout hello or bye-bye, or some silly chatter.
Let the moment of meeting be sanctified by the remembrance of God.
Say, Ram Ram, or Om, or Hari Om, or Sai Ram.
Sathya Sai Speaks X, Chap. 14
The quote from Swami (above) states in a nutshell why we greet someone with "Sai Ram". It is a remembrance of God, the one God that IS the other person and ourselves.

In Bavaria, southern Germany, many people greet each other with "Gruess Gott", which means "Greet God". Same idea!

Why we say "Sai Ram"

Always respect another's opinion and another's point of view. Do not start a quarrel at the slightest difference of opinion. The other person may be right and you may be wrong. Ponder over the argument; the other might have had the advantage of knowing more about the subject or you may be prejudiced either for or against it; or the other possibly may not know as much as you do. Remember that all differences of opinion are not due to personal hatred. Hatred is ugly, unnatural and inhuman. Know that it is against the very core of love that is in every one.
- Divine Discourse, Nov 25, 1959.

Reason for having hatred towards a person may be due to many
reasons, one such thing could be because he/she may not get social
or economic support. In stead of reacting at once, when somebody
offends you, you may get detached from that person temporarily and
get relieved from emotional reactions. One might have experienced
stress in one's own life and that has nothing to do with the hatred feelings.
In such situations, one has to understand the situation in a calm
atmosphere intellectually and stay away for that moment. If one
is able to understand a negative situation intelligently in place of
reacting it immediately emotionally, offender's behaviour could be
reformed.

The month of November has begun and so the count down too has started for celebrating the Birthday of
our Beloved Lord.

Every devotee and every Sai worker, every Sai child and every Sai youth is now thinking
'What can I do for Baba's Birthday? What is it that will make Him happy?'

On the morning of that holiest of holy day when devotees used to wish Him in glee 'Happy
Birthday Swami! Happy Birthday Baba!' Swami would respond with a sweet smile
and say 'I am always happy! You be happy!'

If Swami ever expected anything from us for all that He has done and continues to do for us,
it is this: “Be Happy!”
So, brothers and sisters, this is what we in Radio Sai want you to focus on, as we herald
the 88th Birthday of our Swami. We urge you to participate in the following:

What is the One Change That I Will Bring in My Life from this
Birthday That Will Add Happiness to My Life and
Make My Swami Proud?

Ok ...whatever but my intention i think was not projected clearly. Ram ram is invoking ram, om ram is also doing that , sai ram was said in mind to invoke whom actually ? sai baba or Lord Ram? If sai ram invokes ram it is okay but if it invokes sai baba its not ok !

Let go of ur ego and refrain using words like 'Sai' ***'Ram'...u can use sai baba

I assume you mean Ahamkara.

That is one of the toughest thing to get rid of in the world.

Even when we call out to our mother and father we use specific terms like Amma/Ma.. Appa/Pa etc.

At that moment we feel that Amma and Appa is my Amma and my Appa and we feel a sense of "ownership" over them..that itself is Ahamkara cos the sense of ownership comes with the feeling of "that belongs to me"..

So going by that..the only way to get rid of Ahamkara is to pratice Detachment and look as everyone as one and the same whether he/she is mother, father, spouse, sibling, friends etc...just changing the terminology from Sai Ram to Sai Baba will not get rid of Ahamkara from most of us humans.

Some devotees feel that "He is my Sai Baba"..they say it out of devotion but in reality that too is a sort of Ahamkara cos they feel Baba belongs to them when in reality no one belongs to anyone in this world.

So I do not see any problem if anyone uses names like Sai Ram,Sai Krishna ,Sai Baba etc..it is just a terminology..trying to get rid of Ahamkara is not merely in a name..it is far more than that..that is practicing detachment and seeing everyone with equal vision.

Madam, as you said, it could be no doubt ahamkara.
I totally agree with you. But then, it is also attached
to egoism. Some have arrogate feelings. If it is not
arrogation, then, it is nothing. Perhaps people feel
it that it is mine. As you say, detachment comes over
there. It could also be termed as ignorance or illiteracy
from the spiritual angle. Once ahamkara takes it root
in the mind, it takes time to wipe it out. In such situation,
it comes under the influence of egoism and a person
commits evils and wrong deeds.

One gains strength both physical and mental through devotion
and fulfillment of spiritual deeds. If one continues to practice
devotional activities besides continuous repetition of HIS NAMA
one can easily attain HIS grace. Lord Hanuman is a popular
Deity in North India. His Bhakthi towards Lord Rama is boundless.
Lord Hanuman's great strength is due to his bhakthi and devotional
worship prior to carrying out any deed. Concentrated attention
on Super Power and right attitude can fetch the light of Supreme
Power to eliminate the darkness or ignorance in one's mind/heart.
Sincere practice of meditation and yoga are absolutely essential
in this regard. In one of the Pravachanams, I heard mentioning that
if someone has two eyes, two arms, two legs, and good health, etc
without any shortcomings in the body, that itself amounts to,
that one is lucky and has got Supreme Power's blessings.
Sometime, ill health may occur but then one should not
worry about it. If one enables to function normally in one's day
to day activities, he/she should be absolutely happy without any
worry, (besides a good job, good wife, etc.) If everyone thinks of the
Supreme Power for a second in a day, there is no question of any depression,
at all.

SAIRAM

Why we greet the other person saying SAIRAM?

'Sai' is the composite form of 'Sa' indicating Sarveshwara the creator or Father of Creation and 'Ayi' indicating Shakti or the creative Energy or the Mother of creation.

Thus, Sai is the embodiment of our Divine Father as well as Mother looking after our material welfare as well as our spiritual progress towards realizing the truth of our own divinity.

Ram Represents Lord Sri Rama

When we greet the other person saying SAIRAM, we see GOD in him;As God is in us ,and we are in Him

Sri Krishna says in the
Bhagavad-Gita Gita

“All things are in Me, and I in them.”

The body is the instrument for doing your duties (Karma) and your intellect (Buddhi) is shaped by your Karma. Prayer and meditation will purify your intellect and make it an effective instrument to win the Lord’s Grace and for self-realization. The warmth of Divine Grace will melt all ignorance away. You can win it by engaging yourself in good deeds. Do your duties that you are best fitted for; that which you are ordained for, your Swadharma. God incarnates for teaching people to perform their dharma (duty). He corrects the Buddhi through counsel and command; at times condemning but also by being a close friend and well-wisher, so that people would willingly give up evil propensities and recognize the straight path. Tread the noble path and attain self-realization.
