Illusion is like a fierce dog that will not allow anyone to near its Master, God. You can easily manage to by-pass it by assuming the Form of the Master which is called Sarupyam or by calling out to the Master so loudly that He comes down and accompanies you into the house; that is to say, by winning His Grace as proximity, Saameepyam. Illusion is His pet and so will not harm you, if He orders not to. Illusion is the blemish that affects the mind. The Master comes to save not just one good person from Illusion, but the whole of mankind. Of course, He has to come assuming a form that man can love, revere, and appreciate.

People are blinded by the objective world and they believe that world to be real, meaningful and worthy of pursuit. The cataract grows in the eye and robs it of its efficiency. Ignorance is the cataract of the inner eye. It hides the true vision and blinds the intellect such that one cannot see that Divinity is their real nature. Ignorance misleads you and makes you believe that you are an ordinary human (manava), when in reality you are God (Madhava). Of what use is the eye, when the vision is not correct? You have focussed too long on riches, status, children, relatives, fame and standard of living. All of these are of minor interest and momentary value. Fix your urge on the Truth, Eternal, the Real, the Pure and Immovable (Nithya, Sathya, Nirmala and Nischala) - the Divinity present within you and around you.

Whenever a person gets negative thoughts and if the mind gets harassed, the
best method of conquering it is to simple ignore it by drawing the attention
on some other issues without any delay. One may raise a question
as to how to ignore it or is it possible to forget so easily. But one should not brood
over it for a longer duration. The next question arises is as to how to prevent
the mind from indulging in such things. In order to get out of that, one may have to read
spiritual inspiration books and meditation if possible. Meditation is the only
best sadhana to get out the situation or as the last resort, one should go to a temple
and sit in the vicinity of God, which would certainly erase the fear in the mind.

Action must not be felt as a burden. No action which helps your progress will weigh heavily on you. It is only when you go counter to your innermost nature, that you feel it as a burden. If you focus only on the worldly gains, a time will come when you look back on your achievements and will yourself sigh at the futility of it. Entrust your mind the task of serving your Lord, before it is too late. Let Him shape it as He likes, and your mind will be tamed. You don’t have to hand over to the goldsmith an ornament that is quite beautiful. You give him broken and dented ones, or those that have gone out of fashion! So too willingly give the Lord your mind that certainly needs repair, if not complete reconstruction!

If one desires to attain the moksha, spiritual path is very important. One has to do
selfless service in any field, that one may desire to work, to achieve complete satisfaction.
One has to adopt nobler values not only to attain self knowledge but also to inspire
others.
There are many religious and spiritual books, which would enable us to have
a guidance to select the true path of spiritual practices.
Our Upanishads reveal the
nature of God as Brahman. If one attains mastery in any kind of spiritual endeavor
viz. pra
yer, meditation, nama sangeerthana, satsang activities etc. besides reading
and understanding the sacred texts that we have as treasure or becoming proficient at learning
some aspect of meditation or spiritual practice,

Compassion - One must love everyone with complete heart while placing
the entire trust in God to help others in times of need. God will always
protect us. When a person pursues spiritual path, even friends who are
associated with the Satsang will do extend all help to the needy. The first
and primary stage should be of mental preparedness to get out of evil
things and get away from preoccupation if any towards evil deeds. There
is a saying that as long as the mind looks for for sensual indulgence,
it always remains agitated. An agitated mind can never concentrate on anything.
In that if a devotee prepares the mind for meditation, the individual will not
be able to concentrate and perhaps may develop a sort of frustration
instead of involving himself/herself in the spiritual activities. One has to
eliminate all the faults, if any before an effective meditation is ventured
upon. Therefore, the quality of thoughts should be proper without giving
room for degrading and leading a person in the direction. One has to fulfil
the essential prerequisites prior to making an attempt at meditation.

Proceed ever towards strength (balam). Do not take to untruth, wickedness, and crookedness – all of which denotes a fundamental fatal trait of cowardice and weakness (bala heenam). Weakness is born of accepting as true, a lower image of yourself than what the facts warrant. That is the main mistake. You believe you are the husk, but you really are the kernel. All spiritual practices must be directed to the removal of the husk and the revelation of the kernel. So long as you say, ”I am so and so”, there is bound to be fear. Once you say and feel “I am Divine” (Aham Brahmasmi), you get unconquerable strength.

As Baba says one should develop good habits and reasonably good resolutions to uplift
one self. It is all possible only through good works to the society and to the God by
demonstrating the real faith onto HIM. God really loves a cheerful worshiper and giver
to the needy. There is a saying that if one gives something to others, he/she also will
receive without any expectation. But one has to have determination to serve the society
and the God at his/her own free-will and not under any compulsion or owing to obligation.
Only through conviction towards God, one can achieve a mental satisfaction and possibly
a contentment of self-progress being an ardent lover of truth and trust in good deeds.
This needs a constructive approach in all activities. Besides, one by controlling the senses,
one can make his/her life ideal. At the same time one has to allot priority to spiritual sadhana
too without setting aside the devotional activities. One can notice that some completely surrender
the life for the welfare and well-being of the downtrodden and needy. Above all, the success of a
person also depends largely on the strength of his/her willpower and determination to achieve
or attain the God's bliss. Generally, devotees who have a strong sense of self-determination,
easily attain a higher status by rendering good deeds. While people who lack strong sense of
determination owing to non-belief in God, fail to perform even minor acts of service to God or
to the needy and as a result, sometimes, they spend the life in failures and disappointments.

This only means that they are efficient collectors of information or big encyclopaedias of general knowledge! But none can say, who one really is. People try to fly millions of miles into space, but they are powerless to travel even half an inch into their own inner realm and discover what lies therein. What is the use then, of the vast amount of exertion and energy they have spent for their education? True learning must be like that of ancient India, where knowledge and scientific temper was developed and practised along with sense and mind control, and character development. The spiritual sphere is as real as the natural sphere but one needs lot of effort
and concentration to achieve at that level. If a person sincerely pursues the
spiritual sphere, he/she will understand that the spiritual sphere determines
what takes place in the natural sphere. If a person wants to attain Moksha and
God's blessings, he/she has to practice the activities of spiritual sphere, which is
a real world which is rather invisible to the natural eye of human being but however
visible to those who have absolute faith and practice of spiritual activities.
Some say the spiritual realm doesn’t really exist, and that it is just a mere
construction of the brain, etc. People who do regular sadhana and spiritual
practices, would be able to attain the spiritual realm, where one would be
able to interact with the God and get the blessing. However, an ordinary man
can easily obtain blessings from the God in the natural sphere itself by absolute faith
prayer, worship, puja, etc. For, a common man, he/she only understands those things,
i.e. as far as his/her human senses and his basic understanding goes within
his/her ability to hear, see and listen from the nature. There are many dimensions
and many places that exist outside of our human senses and human understanding.

It is true that milk contains butter; sesame seeds contain oil; cane yields sugar. But by merely holding milk in the hand, you cannot get butter; filling the lamp with sesame seeds you cannot light the wick, shaking the cane will not result in a shower of sugar. By placing sweets on a plate in front of you and reciting 108 times "sweets, sweets.." can your tongue relish it? Similarly you study many holy books, and chantmantras and hymns. Of course, the time spent in these activities is thereby rendered holy. But, these are not helping you to transform the work you are engaged in into an offering acceptable to God. Are you putting into practice at least one percent of what you read or recite? Mere reading and singing will not free you from the cycle of birth and death. God has to be planted firmly in the mind, the omnipresent God has to be enshrined in the heart; God has to flow with the blood in the veins. God has to be visualised through the inner eye.

A taxi driver had once asked him for a photograph of Bhagawan. So, Vasudevan got one, had it framed and took it to his office for the taxi driver to collect. But, the taxi driver never turned up and the photograph remained in the office.
One day, when the Editor was alone, a furious visitor walked into the office. Purple with rage, the man announced in a loud voice that he was there to settle scores with Vasudevan for what he termed as affront to his family dignity. His outrage was caused by something printed in the Dinamani Kadir magazine.
Vasudevan saw that the enraged man intended violence. He explained that the offending article pertained to the distant past and was factually correct. He also admitted the possibility of it having an effect on the good name of the man’s family. He said he was sorry about it and quietly added, “You see, if you still feel hurt and want revenge, let me send away the peon who is the only other person here. Then, whatever you do, there won’t be any witness, there will be no one to testify to your actions except, of course, Baba there.” And saying, he pointed to Bhagawan’s photograph on the wall. As the man stared at the photograph, Vasudevan calmly added, “Now, proceed with whatever you want to do with me!... Maybe, you are right about the material we have printed. Anyway, it is too late to remedy the situation. So do what you want.”
The man stared alternatively at the Editor and the photograph and then, abruptly, turned on his heels and left.
“Is this not a miracle of Baba? A miracle performed by just a photograph of Him. What a transformation He caused in the attitude of the violent caller. If a photograph can do this, what can we say about the impact of Baba’s physical presence?”
