You do not wail that the pot you are holding is a mud pot, if you know that what is contained in it is nectar, is it not? Having a mud pot with nectar is far better than having a gold pot with poison! There is no value to the land of riches or a mansion if the quality of life is deplorable. Even if the standard of life is poor, it does not matter if the way of life is pure, full of love, humility, fear of sin and reverence towards elders. It is easy to restore this way of life provided the Vedas are studied and fostered and its teachings practised in earnestness. The Mother of Vedas (Vedamatha) will foster in you love and kindness. The teachings for right conduct laid down in the Vedas are the best armour to guard you against sorrow and difficulties.

SANKRANTI is intended to bring about various changes in man’s attitude so that he may sanctify his life. It is a festival not intended to Bharatiyaas alone. Its message has a meaning to everyone in the world. It has a message for people of all climes, creeds and countries. Kraanti (change) and shanti (peace ) both reside in the heart. You need not seek for them in the outside world. Discover them within you. This is your duty. Serve your parents and society. Lead o godly life. Dedicate all your actions to God. Live in Love! -

When Bhagawan graciously agreed to come to my humble abode, I remembered my elder brother, who had badly fractured his thigh bone, six months previously. As ill-luck would have it, the broken bones did not join properly and he had to spend his life, mostly in bed. His movements were considerably restricted. So, he was bundled up and brought to my house and put in a chair in the rear hall. Seeing him in the chair, no one could say that he had a leg injury and could not walk about with ease.

Bhagawan arrived, showered Ananda on hundreds of people who had assembled in the main hall and sat for some time receiving the adoration of devotees during bhajan.
Then, unobserved, He slipped off from the room, and none of us was conscious of His absence. He went straight to the place where my brother was. I did not have the opportunity or time to mention to Him about my brother and his condition. But, Bhagawan knows.
He put a straight question to Him, “What, your leg is not right yet?" and the reply was, “No, Swami". He materialised the Divine Cure, the Vibhuti, and put a dot on his forehead, and placed a little on his palm with instructions to swallow. My sister brought in a glass of water for him. All this happened within minutes, and Baba came back into the hall where I had just discovered that He had gone into the inner apartments.
When I approached Him, Baba gave me a pat on the back, saying in Tamil, “Un brotherukku kaal sari panni vittain", meaning, "I have set right your brother's leg!"
O, Embodiment of Compassion! Karuna Murthi! I exclaimed; my throat choking with joy, gratitude, and amazement.... Within three days, my brother started moving about on his legs within the house; in a week, he ventured out into the garden, without help; and, in a month, he resumed his daily constitutional of two miles a day...

That is the one important lesson I teach always. I do not ask that you should become a scholar or a recluse or an ascetic skilled in recitation of holy Names and Meditation (Japa and Dhyana). God only examines, “Is your heart full of love?” Firmly believe that Love is God, Truth is God. Love is Truth, Truth is Love. For it is only when you love that you have no fear. Fear is the mother of falsehood. If you have no fear, you will adhere to truth. As part of Buddha Poornima Celebrations, the devotees from Nepal presented a thematic dance presentation in form of Kauda & Sherpa : This dance form, with Love as its underlying theme, belongs to the Magar ethnic communities of the mountainous regions of the Himalayan Kingdom. The dance depicts the illustrious life of Chandalika, of Buddha's time. Woven around the theme of untouchability and social discrimination, the story ended with Chandalika's complete transformation and surrender at the Feet of Lord Buddha.

The Sherpa form of dance originated from the Northern Himalayan Region and is a common item during festivities and ceremonies of the Sherpas of the region.

Worship of the All-Pervasive Sai Rama is to experience the physical body outside and the astral body inside. Bodily illusion belongs to man (Nara) and atmic illusion belongs to God (Narayana). So if you continue to be enveloped by bodily illusions and earthly attachments of this world, when do you experience atmic illusion and see the cosmic form of God? Search for truth should become a daily ritual for Sai Devotees. Love is the quality that endears you to Parthivasa.

Inferior qualities should be discarded as superior human qualities confer divinity. So first devotees should develop a clean and clear conscience and shed external pomp and show. You should remain unattached to everything, because this is the truth. Devote all your time and actions to God. Realize time as the vehicle of Sai and do not count the amount of time you spent in prayers as the quality of devotion is more important.

Devotion to God is fundamental to leading a virtuous life. Swami, through His Divine Love and in His own inimitable way, evokes in each of our hearts, this devotion and builds our faith. I would like to share with you, one such instance, when Swami through a simple and appealing example captured the heart of a young boy in an instant, making him a devotee for life!

During an interview, Swami asked our young son to ask Him a question.

The boy said, “Swami, which is your favourite car?”

My heart sank and I thought to myself, “Is this the question to ask Swami? Time with Swami is so precious!”

Swami gave a lovely smile and answered, “Morris Minor” and went on to tell stories of how He used to drive to Madras and how He obtained a license.

“You used to drive it yourself Swami?” Exclaimed the boy, stars in His eyes!

Swami had woven a bit of magic and our son looked at Swami transfixed.

Swami went on to say, “I will give you a big car. Will you take it? You mustn’t say no!”

And the boy, a bit overawed by now, said, “OK!”

Swami then asked, “Will you give me your car?”

Prompt came the answer, “Sure Swami!”

“Shall I drive it?”

And the boy again said, “Sure, Swami.”

Swami then smilingly placed His hand on our son’s heart and said, “Your heart is the car and I am the
driver.”

One of the most profound lessons in devotion had been taught by Swami in the simplest possible manner!

Swami says, “Have faith in Him” and “Be free from fear, anxiety and agitation. Surrender to God; His Grace can save you. His wisdom can enlighten you. His power can overcome all obstacles. Faith and surrender are the manifestations of devotion.”

- As told by Mrs. Mallika Srinivasan, CEO of TAFE [Tractors and Farm Equipment]

Maha+Samadhi+3.jpg

In India, according to Vedic tradition, Samadhi’s are often seen as MORE powerful spiritual portals than when the Mahatma/Avatar was alive.

The reason being is that when They are alive a lot of energy is always being dispersed….

For example when Swami's Physical Body was alive and walking, eating and talking with people, the strength of His consciousness would fluctuate according to time place and circumstance….its only when He would be alone would He really go off into His own universal supreme consciousness without reserve…….ie His wattage would increase when He was in His own four walls……. if He would be like this while giving darshan, people would probably die at the jolt of lightening being emitted from His body……so many a times Swami would ‘tone Himself down’ according to how much the person in front could handle.

At the point of death, less energy is being dispersed by way of talking, interacting and organs functioning…..so all the energy can be harnessed and focused very sharply on Supreme Universal Consciousness….. therefore at the point of a Mahama’s/Avatar’s death….. their cellular structure gets an almighty blast of consciousness for the very last time with no holds barred…… which is then the very last imprint to remain on the cells of the body.

Science has proved that DNA within the billions and billions of cells within the human body act as receivers and transmitters for the consciousness and other etheric energies…..

The cells in Swami’s body have been exposed to incredibly intense spiritual vibrations over a period of decades which have flipped His cellular structure into another quantum dimension of existence permanently.

Quantum physics shows us that when a subatomic particle is exposed to extremely high frequency of energy for a certain period of time it will flip into a quantum state or another dimensional state. Theoretical physicists now believe there to be at least ten dimensions of reality and have recognised that consciousness is the most powerful force in the known universe.

Consequently the cells in Swami’s dead body are still situated in that almighty quantum state!!…. and have received an extra blast at the point of His departure….. which renders the cells within His ‘dead’ body absolutely perfect transmitters/ receivers……. Each cell in His dead body is a sublime portal from this dimension to the dimension of universal supreme consciousness…. more so now than ever before!!

This is why the body is completely surrounded by several hundred kgs of salt to preserve the cell structure as much as possible…. and not cremated as is normally done in Vedic tradition…… By burying his body it is known that great emanations will still be omitted and purify the earth, its lay lines and also all those who pray earnestly infront of it.

In addition, the Atma of a Mahatma or Avatar…will always stays close to their own Samadhi…..and will use the quantum cells of their ‘dead’ body to receive and transmit powerful divine consciousness without any distraction or interruption…..this is why In India Samadhi’s are seen to be so auspicious…even more so when they were alive in certain departments.

This is why many disciples throughout the ages of India feel to live and do sadhana near the samdhis of such great souls.

Show deep gratitude to your parents. Tend to them with respect and adore them. On their anniversary of passing away, remember them and pay the tribute of at least a tear. Do it with faith (Shraddha), hence it is called Shraardha (religious ceremonial offering to the dead), note that they are not waiting for them in the other world! This tribute you offer should be in gratitude for the great chance they gave you for this sojourn in this world with all the wonderful opportunities it offers for self-realization. By the same token, parents must feel that they are servants appointed by the Lord to tend the little souls that are born in their households as the gardener tends the trees in the garden of the Master. Give children every opportunity and facility to develop their innate divine talents. Arouse the latent goodness in their tiny hearts through stories of saints and sages. Without fear, make them brave to practice righteousness.

Education must result in the development of wisdom (Viveka) and humility (Vinaya). The educated person must be able to distinguish between the momentary and the momentous, the lasting and the effervescent. As an educated person, you must not run after glitter and glamour but must seek the good and golden. Keep the body in good trim, the senses under strict control, the mind well within check, the intellect sharp and clear, unhampered by prejudices and hatreds, and the feelings untouched by egoism. You must know the Divine Self, Atma too, for that is the very core. That is the effulgence which illumines your inner and outer selves. You must also cultivateVinaya (humility). As an educated person, you must be grateful to your parents, who with great sacrifice have given you all the facilities that you now enjoy.

This tribute you offer should be in gratitude for the great chance they gave you for this sojourn in this world with all the wonderful opportunities it offers for self-realization.
