Activated charcoal filter mask may help. All perfumes and deos must be banned in any closed space. Natural body odour may be permitted.

Tamil writer sujata wrote this after his trip to USA. In the west all places have the same clean smell, no difference at all. In mumbai, every area has a distinct, unique bad smell and no smell repeats.

In the west only Alsatians can find the difference between persons by smells.

In India even human can do it.:wof:

I shudder to think of the ride in the electric train in Bombay when i was surrounded by scores of odd smells and odors

right from distilled spirits to "sharam-nahi-hai-kya?" type of sweat :scared:

So who is better??
one who wants the forms filled up by you or one who wants seat belt fastened by you??? :decision:

On the way back to Malaysia my seat was the middle seat and two guys were sitting beside me.

Their body odour was really bad and then one of them flying for the first time was asking me how to put on a seat belt and when he opened his mouth smell was even worse!(bad breath).

Then midway through flight he opened his shoes(feet odour)..God knows how I survived the flight back home.

looking sweet, smelling sweet and feeling sweet???

Use of Jasmine was kind of a rarity in my home, so the odd opportunity was a welcome. Sambrani is very special. I still remember my hair dried by my grandmother(s) and mum with sambrani and how my eye would burn. I guess like memories, even smell or is it fragrances can be nostalgic.

Speaking smelling sweet I am partial to the eau de parfums Bvlgari and Kenzo flower :D

Locked In: Why Child Car Deaths Are on the Rise

By: Allison Ford(View Profile)

As predictable as the tinkling of the ice-cream truck and the thrum of air conditioners is a more macabre sign of summer’s arrival: the beginning of news reports detailing some parent, somewhere, whose child died after being locked in a hot car. A decade ago, we would have considered an occurrence like this a freak accident; now there’s an average of one such death per week in the months between spring and autumn.
Child deaths by hyperthermia have been on the rise since the early ’90s, when new safety regulations mandated that children, often injured by front-seat, passenger-side airbags, should always ride in the backseat. No one disputes that children are indeed safest in the backseat; the laws did successfully reduce airbag injuries to kids, but they also inadvertently made children less visible in the car, and they’re one of the factors often cited to explain the eightfold increase in hyperthermia deaths since the regulations passed. According to nonprofit consumer-safety advocates Kids and Cars, an average of thirty-seven children have died this way each year since 1998. In the first six months of 2010 alone, twenty kids lost their lives after parents left them in cars unintentionally.

AS if this is NOT enough there are many other dangerous ways
in which children get killed in their cars!!!
:scared:

From a forwarded mail...

3yrs old child kills himself by mistake - Safety Alert

A tragic and horrific scene took place in Jubail, as a child killed
himself by mistake while he was in his father's car.

The father, who forgot to switch off the vehicle, headed for the
grocery store for a few minutes and left the child inside.

When he returned, he was shocked to see his 3 year old son had his
head stuck out the window.

The child who had stuck his head out the window to look outside,
accidentally had one of his knees pressed on the button and raised the
glass.

He could not lower the window, which completely overpowered the neck
to the fullest extent.

The father rushed hysterically to lower the window, only to find the
child was dead and lifeless. All who witnessed the incident cried out
in sadness and pain.

"The joy of motherhood" as defined by my father is

"when the children go to sleep or take nap"

But since the children never take a nap together

and one always wakes up as the other starts a nap

the corrected definition should become

"when all the children take a nap at the same time!!!

In the Happy Nap Land...

Enter child number one... exist child number two!!!

I and many others of my age group, used to get up early before the household wakes up

and take a bath and finish as many chores as possible before the babies woke up

and started demanding our time, energy and attention.

Here in the West, the mothers sleep as long as the babies sleep (if possible for longer too!).

The whole household wakes up at the same time and a much later hour.

All the chores are to be done by everyone at the same time.

They have to share the bathrooms and other facilities in the short time available.

They will rather do this everyday than think up of getting out of bed a little early

and doing things more leisurely. WHY???:noidea:

In Kolkatta, people use generally mustard oil for massage during winters
and for cooking purposes too, though it is banned in some countries.

The local people used to say that there are many benefits. It helps people
to stay away from coronary heart diseases. Some people also use it for improved
blood circulation and to contain the hair fall. Generally, it is used as a common practice
to the infants to enhance sensation in senseless organs and muscles. Further
they also add that it is good oil for digestive purposes and functions as an excretory object
for children to avoid constipation. Besides it is claimed to be anti-fungal, etc.

KANDAHAR, Afghanistan (Reuters) - Afghan President Hamid
Karzai accused the Taliban on Monday of beheading 17 villagers, including two women, in volatile Helmand province, in a gruesome attack recalling the dark days of the hardline group's rule before their 2001 ouster.
He ordered a full investigation into the "mass killing", which a local official said was punishment to revellers attending a party with music and mixed-sex dancing.

Our own 'vanara sena' is much better since it only

beats up revelers and does not behead them!:scared:

When you have no answers to give, you too can say this !!! :tape:

Known for his preference for Urdu poetry, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Monday voiced his unhappiness over the BJP targeting him on coal blocks allocation saying his silence was better than a thousand answers. Speaking to reporters outside the Parliament House after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) refused to let him make a statement in the Lok Sabha, the prime minister said: "Hazaaron jawabon se achchhi hai meri khamoshi, na jaane kitne sawaalon ki aabru rakhe. (My silence is better than a thousand answers. If I start answering then it will throw up several more questions which will beg answers)."

I loveee jasmine soo much and sambranii and agarbathi.

Dear amala,

My parents house and my house must be the very few Hindu houses which do not use Agarbathi or Sambrani for prayers.

Somehow the smell tends to irritate one's respiratory tract.

I remember once I had to attend a bhajan at persons house and the sambrani smoke was so thick that I ended up having rhinitis for 2 days.
