Those who have problem curbing their OWN ego

but keep throwing stones form inside their glasshouses

on other imaginary egotists, can benefit from the

successful ego removing method given below. :)

"The extent of the ego's inability to recognize itself and see what it is doing is staggering and

unbelievable. [...] To become free of the ego is not really a big job but a very small one.

All you need to do is be aware of your thoughts and emotions – as they happen.

This is not really a 'doing' but an alert 'seeing'. (Veekshanam in Sanskrit)

In that sense, it is true that there is nothing you can do to become free of the ego.

When that shift happens, which is the shift from thinking to awareness,

an intelligence far greater than the ego's cleverness begins to operate in your life.

Emotions and even thoughts become depersonalized through awareness.

Their impersonal nature is recognized. There is no longer a self in them.

They are just human emotions, human thoughts.

Your entire personal history, which is ultimately no more than a story, a bundle of thoughts and

emotions, becomes of secondary importance and no longer occupies the forefront of your consciousness.

It no longer forms the basis for your sense of identity. :decision:

You are the light of Presence, the awareness that is prior to and deeper than any thoughts and

emotions."

if one is exposed to western thought then "I" has ending and beginning. for true Brahmins I has no beginning and end. its a pity this education and cultural training imparting values diminish as Kali yuga progress.

We have had more than enough dose! I remember to have requested everyone to restore :peace:
Please post new topics to think over and remember the 'saptapati' also. :decision:

Shri suraju-ji,
I am happy wisdom has dawned in some of us very recently.
.
Each of us think we are ideal and when we deviate assume we dont or at best that they are within the reasonable and needed limits and start preaching to others when we spot them in others, but fail to realise others too would have a similar ideal-ism but differing yard sticks.

Your message was good, but has more than needed 'I am right and you are not' masala, I felt. If only you had included yourself too, it would have been delivered more effectively.
Just in case you are wondering what it is all about, you may want to check your posts in this thread http://www.tamilbrahmins.com/rituals-ceremonies-pujas/9649-a.html
and wonder why it didnt pain you then, but it does now

Dear O3,

Your post is not clear. I have made three or four posts to the thread you have mentioned. Which one are you having in your mind? If you can make it a little clear I may be able to offer you a suitable reply. I think now I am entitled to a reply from you.

Cheers.

Copy pasting an important message from Sri. Praveen.

This is for all of us to think over and act accordingly!

Due to a personal emergency, i am not available for a few days. I will be checking in as and when possible.
......... Please be good and let peace prevail.

Music

The man that hath no music in himself, :music:

Nor is not mov'd with concord of sweet sounds,

Is fit for treasons, stratagems, and spoils;

The mentions of his spirit are dull as night, :bored:

And his affection dark as Erebus:

Let no such man be trusted. :suspicious:

William Shakespeare.

One honest student asked his master
why none of the teachings entered his head.
The master replied,
"Son! It is already full.
Unless you throw out the junk and garbage filling it
and make space, nothing can ever enter into it!"

When Maths is defied...!!!

If we throw a stone on a tree with one bird...

that bird it will fly away leaving none behind.

If we throw a stone on a tree with ten birds...

or with one hundred birds or one thousand birds...

NONE will be left behind since every bird will fly away!

Corollary:

Life is not obeying the laws of mathematics always!!!

TIME can not be CREATED

but TIME can be made!!!

Time can be made by placing the activities

end to end with no wastage of time in between them.

Time can be made by doing more than one job at one time

or over lapping the activities suitably without ruining them.

Time can be made by cutting down the long sleeping hours

Time can be made by cutting down the entertainments and chit chats.

The motto should be "minding one's business".

No wasting of time in negative thoughts and feelings,

nor in breeding and keeping alive the spark of hatred

nor in evil wishes and wicked fantasies

nor in plotting and scheming other people's downfall.

Being liberal in thinking and stingy in wasting time

(counting even the tiny duration called a second)

helps in making time more available!!!

மறைந்து விடும் அந்த மாயப் பண மூட்டை;

ஒவ்வொரு நாணயம் உருண்டோடுவது போல;
எண்ணிப் பார்த்தால் உண்மை விளங்கும்,
எண்ணுவோம், நொடிகளையும் வீணாக்காமல்!

வாழ்க வளமுடன்,

SILVER COINS.

jd208_large.jpg

Suppose I present you with a bagful of silver coins everyday, what will you do? The coins I give you are different. You may spend them to your heart’s delight but you can not save them nor can you transfer them to the next day’s account. Either you use them or lose them – as the unspent money will disappear into thin air!

What will you under these circumstances?

You will be careful to spend each coin well and intelligently, in getting the things you cherish most. You won’t want to waste the coins or lose them for ever!

God gives each and every one of us, everyday, a wonderful bag containing 86,400 precious seconds. We can spend them but we can neither transfer them nor save them. Time wasted is lost for ever!

Yet how many seconds, minutes and hours we just waste everyday! We are extremely careful not to waste even one rupee but we never bother about the 1000s of seconds we waste just like that!

If we imagine a silver coin rolling away from our collection every time we waste a second, we will realize the value of time and use it wisely.

At todays silver price, I will convert to currency and keep it in a bank in Bahamas, LOL.

Jokes aside, beautiful thought.

Sunday shock!

I received a PM sometime back in another forum. I was only blogging there and did not write in my threads. Sri. Praveen

replied to me in another thread that blogs are not counted as posts. In that forum, a member can not view PMs, if there are

less then ten posts in the previous month. So I was unable to open it. Yesterday, I updated my threads and could see the PM

today. OMG! I was shocked!

This is what it is. Some guest lady X had a doubt that I was Mrs. C, who started a thread to say that she is a divorced lady and

has lot of disturbances in mind. X writes that her husband was away for a few months and she got in touch with a gentleman Y

through internet and then met him often at a coffee shop near his office. Later on, when the kids were at school, they had good

time together in her flat!! Now her husband has returned and the family has moved to another city. She has given Y's phone

number saying that he is now 'free' to help anyone! I can't imagine such an event to happen in SingArach Chennai! Where is

the chastity of ladies going? Now, I repent why at all I opened that PM. I can't give a :whip: because X is not a member!

:faint:

......... Most of the forums on the internet use one of the 3 popular softwares and all these are discussion based. The blogging feature is only an add-on and thus not counted towards these restrictions.
This is Sri. Praveen's reply to my query whether bolgs are not counted as posts. :)
