Dear and Respected Members,

Wanna have mind stimulation????

Follow the story and try to answer the question at the end

3 Friends, namely A, B, and C went to a restaurant to have their dinner.

Each one of them had something to eat such that the expense for each of them was Rs.15.

As such the total bill for the food was Rs.45.

A, B and C, shared the bill equally, costing Rs.15 for each.

They paid the bill across the cash counter, got aside and were about to leave.

The cashier had a thought - These guys are regular costumers and are good customers. Why not to give them some discount?

The cashier called the waiter, gave him Rs.5 and asked him to give this money back to these guys.

The waiter thought - How can I distribute Rs.5 equally among 3 guys-A, B and C? So, he converted the note of Rs.5 into 5 coins of Rupee.1 each.

The waiter went to the guys, and returned 1 Coin to A, 1 coin to B and 1 Coin to C.

The waiter kept 2 coins for himself as tips.

THE TRANSACTION INVOLVED TOTAL OF RS.45 ON ACCOUNT OF THESE GUYS HAVING DINNER IN THE RESTAURANT.

Now, how much was the money spent by each one of these guys??

They first contributed Rs.15 each. Now each one of them got Rupee 1 back. So, the total expense per head is now Rs.14.

If we add the total money spent by these guys, the amount would be Rs.42 (14 plus 14 plus 14)

Rs.2 is with the Waiter, who kept Rs.2 with himself as his tips.

So, the total now amounts to Rs.44 (42 Plus 2)

Now the question is -

Where is Rupee 1? Why the total calculation now amounts to Rs.44 only? How it's not getting tally with the total amount of Rs.45, involved in this transaction?

It's just a twisting question. When couple of we guys were asked with this question by one gentleman, we all got confused as what could be the answer. 3 of my friends even wanted to repeat the whole transaction again and again and all my energy was drained, explaining them the transaction.

The next day morning, I could answer the gentleman after thinking over it for a long time. When I could derive the answer I could realize how confused I was to ponder over the question this much and took a long time to come up with the answer. Honestly speaking, no other guys could answer correctly.

I just want to see, how soon and easily, the members here, can answer the above question? Just out of my curiosity.

Each man spent 15-1 = 14 Rs

So three people actually spent Rs 42 together.

Of this Rs. 40 went to pay the hotel bill and

Rs 2 was retained by the waiter.

So the account tallies perfectly!!!

Exactly!!!!!!

Total actual expense was Rs.42. Rs.40 is with the cashier and Rs.2 is with the waiter. So, the account tallies perfectly!!!!

Midrash -A Biblical story of Abraham

Midrash is a form of Jewish rabbinic literature, a form of storytelling that explores ethics and values in biblical texts.
Here is one.

Abraham was in the midst of a prophetic encounter, communing with God, when he noticed three nomads passing hungry. He interrupted his mystical experience in order to bring the nomads into his encampment, refresh them, and feed them. The lesson, explains the Midrash, is that it’s better to be like God than to commune with God.

One posting in my Son's friend to friend in face book clearly showed the driver seat was broken..He was inside the bus & took that photo...eventhough he was slightely injured..So the theory circulating is the bus took the left turn in more than normal speed [ which the 17M & 11J buses do every time because of arrogancy of the drivers.] and since the driver seat was broken suddenly..he lost controll..

May god help the passengers to take a unbreakable seat and the best thing is to travel by standing..in such case either you will be thrown out or CRUSHED altogether..and the end will be the same..!!

Dear Sir,

I am a little confused as to how one can be LIKE God?

Dear Mrs. Visalakshi Ramani,

Good question. But I cannot offer an answer for certain. Concept of God differs from person to person basing on the attributes that one believe in that word. In general, as for me, being a good human being with abundant love and compassion itself is Godliness . I may be wrong, but I believe so.

Warm Regards,

Hello TVK Sir ,it is stated in news media as the driver was using the cell phone on driving ,that had lead to this bad situation .

May be or may not be...But I have seen no. of drivers using cellphone while driving.. I was once stopped by police & strongly warned against using cell phone while driving..But being Govt. servants these fellows immediately go on strike if the police take action...
