Time to change over to Star war weapons!!!

India’s soldiers still have to fight with clunky, outdated and unreliable rifles

One of the world’s largest tenders for assault rifles has been scrapped. Last month, after four years of deliberations, India’s defence ministry finally called off a project worth Rs4,850 crore ($765 million) to purchase 65,678 new assault rifles for the world’s third largest standing army. Assault rifles are weapons primarily used by the army’s infantry troops. “I can confirm to you the information that the Indian Government has cancelled the tender,” Hana Smilkova, a spokesperson for Czech-rifle maker Ceska zbrojovka A.S, told Quartz via email.

Will this be an eye opener to put an end to terrorism??? :decision:

[h=3]Terrorism has cost Pakistan $100 billion in past 11 years[/h]Pakistani Christians carry the coffin of Zahid Yousaf, one of the victims killed in a suicide attack on a church, during his funeral in Lahore, Pakistan on March 16, 2015. That’s enough to finance Pakistan’s education budget for 134 years (based on the current year). Pakistan contends that the heightened incidence of terrorism is a reaction to the conflict and instability in Afghanistan, after the 9/11 attacks. The US invasion of Afghanistan led to an increased influx of refugees into bordering Pakistan, which “witnessed a sudden spike in the frequency and scale of terrorist attacks”, according to the Economic Survey.
