Some people love to experiment in real life.
My nonagenarian mom is one such person! :thumb:

She loves to experiment on people, on products and
the effect of those products on the people.

I think that explains the choice of the beet sweet
out of all the hundred possibilities!!! :bump2:

Once I followed her instructions to the letter - in one of her experiments.

On the same day my brother Dr. K.R.S visited us.

His visits are few and far between since he is a very busy doctor.

He won't stay long enough in our place to eat or to rest.

On that day he stayed back for the lunch - which is usually idli/dosa/adai etc

since we eat the meals as brunch in the morning itself.

I was almost in tears since all the dosaas made turned out to be in coal black in color.

Thanks to the experiment done in the morning.

I tried mixing other flours and other ingredients with the dough but it was of no use.

The dosaas looked like black holes with a smell and a taste.

My dear brother ate them without complaining and gave me a useful tip before leaving.

"When this happens next time just tell the people that it is special raagi dosai. They will relish this as a delicacy. "

I decided that there will be no more black beauties - since I put a full stop to all experiments on food and food articles on that day.

My father used to say often "PoLaikkatheengo!" :nono:

If we poLachufy too much this is what happens! :(
