How can this feat be possible?

It becomes possible - thanks to the tongue, which plays dual roles and lacks bones.
It eats forbidden stuff and makes a man his own worst enemy - by ruining his health.
It speaks unforgettable and unforgivable words and makes him his own worst enemy.

A tongue kept well under control can make a man his own best friend by eating what is good for him and by speaking what makes him a friend to everyone and enemy to none.

It all lies in the mindset of the person.

they would never feel happy or contented even in the Seventh Heaven.

In some houses the kitchen counter and the platform on which the stoves are kept would be so high that one's shoulders would start hurting by the time one finishes cooking.

In some other houses all the mirrors would be hung so high that only 6 footers can use them. Anyone shorter could not even get glimpse of the top of his own dome!

In one house the cots and the beds were so small that only a child under 10 years can use them. A 6 footer will be having 2/3 of his body projecting outside the bed!

The rooms were so small that they decided to match the cots with the room rather than with real people! May be they did not want any visitors and guests!!!

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" is a beautiful concept
but should one stretch it to everything seen in a house?

Brahman satyam, jagat mithya
This sentence summarizes the entire teaching of Advaita vEdAntA of Hinduism.

Brahman is 'Sathyam' or the only existing absolute reality.
Everything else is 'Mithya' or a deceptive illusion superimposed on Brahman.

So mithya does not mean something which is non-exiting and 100% imaginary.
Mithya is something misunderstood by one who sees it.

It is like an imaginary serpent seen of piece of rope.
It is like a looming ghost seen on a lamp post.

It is like the silver seen in the sea shells.
It is like the gold one sees in Fool's gold.

Learning new languages has been my third love - the first two being Classical Dancing and Carnatic Music.

Grammar, Music and Mathematics are closely interrelated. If you are good in one of them, you will be good in the other to as well!

Every time we travel through Frankfurt to India and back, I used to feel like a dumb fool - 'dumb' because I could not speak German and ' a fool' because I could not understand it either!

Certain events happening in the airport made me realize the importance of having working knowledge in German. I must know at least whether people were talking to me or talking about me!

I am glad I took upon myself the task of learning German. The German Grammar made me realize and appreciate the English Grammar - which seems to be so much easier by comparison.

The Four Famous Cases driving people nuts; the ambiguous pronunciations; the chains of silent letters; the hardened and softened letters; the conjugation of verbs; the stem changing verbs; adjective declension German, the German subjunctive called the Kunjunctive 1 and 2 are all challenging - have no doubt.

But everything become possible when broken down to smaller manageable daily doses. It is less than one year since I started to teach myself German. I have refined my listening, reading and comprehending skills. To be able to speak fluently I need to work more on my grammar and vocabulary.

I was overwhelmed when recently I enjoyed watching a hilarious video in German -without registering that it was NOT in English.

The story of Aruna teaches us the importance of waiting.

Kashyapa Prajapati's two wives Vinata and Kadru wanted to have children. Kashyapa granted them boons. Kadru wished for one thousand Nāga sons, while Vinata wanted two sons as bright as the Sun. Kashyapa blessed them.

Later, Kadru gave birth to one thousand eggs, while Vinata gave birth to two eggs. These incubated for five hundred years, upon which the 1000 eggs of Kadru hatched and out came her 1,000 Naga sons.

Vinata was very eager to see her sons and decided to break open one of the eggs prematurely. From the broken egg a flash of light, Aruna, sprang forth. He was as radiant and reddish as the morning sun.

But, due to the premature breaking of the egg, he was not fully formed and had no legs. A charioteer does not need legs to walk on and so Sun God made Aruna his charioteer and the announcer of his arrival with the reddish Aruna kiraNa.

The second egg hatched at the proper time and from it emerged the mighty Garuda in all his splendor and strength. He later became the vahana of Lord Vishnu.
