I have tried to include 2 names in the voters' list last 3 times and have the ack. slips. The system acquires efficiency only some where and it suffers delinquency everywhere else. Wait for newspaper reports after hustings on missing names, imposters, etc.
delhi was good in this regard . school teachers were put on jobs relating to updating and also resident welfare association with local corporaters aided the process. every poor voter in in resettlement colonies and slums were given voters cards and ration cards on priority in special camps by delhi government. poor never had it better as they later collected water and power subsidies also from AAP govt.in delhi

And she does within twelve hours of bunch of islamic leaders give a press conference withdrawing suppor because jj has not criticized modi or bjp. Shame she has fallen for the bait. Earlier the party's (jj's) stand was it had no issues with bjp and will not criticize bjp. Now the christians too have threatened to withdraw support.

Perhaps she was banking on third front getting controlling seats and bjp unable to form government, to aim for pmship. With this hope in shambles with the increasing popularity of bjp and modi, and a nda alliance with firm support for modi, she has to succumb to the pressure of muslims and christians. She could have done a favour for her party and the nation by aligning with bjp in the first place.
Amma has slammed BJP for the first time on the emotive Cauvery issue for the first time!..

Will be fun when subsidies are removed for the undeserving and looters. Let us hope other states wake up and demand uniformity.

sarang ji .you are quite correct. I have forgotten to add subsidies for water and power in my post. you knownow why I stick to delhi and not go anywhere else.in case we have AAP ruling delhi with bjp governing india maintaining law and order. ,delhi may be close to heavan . this is the most likely scenario. delhi people are wise . they would try to run with the hare and hunt with the hound.lol

Really laughed at this!

Cat is out of the bag! Sanjay Baru's revelations about MMS, a slap in the face of accountability in our Parliamentary form of democracy...Extra constitutional authorities wielding power aka Sonia!

Excerpts from Sanjay Baru's book 'The Accidental Prime Minister: The Making and Unmaking of Manmohan Singh' : Cover Story - India Today
MMS view was it was sonias political victory in 2009 and she had very right to decide on policy issues having political implications . he turned a blind eye to her actions.he was a political light weight who coud not win a lok sabha election. he was happy to implement her decisions . he acted more as a principal secretary than a PM. the dual sharing of power damaged his name and he became a subject of ridicule.even in tamil nadu we had panneerselvam who was proxy CM for J.

unlikely to happen as AAP will get a thumping majority in delhi elections and get its way on subsidies . The poor and lower middle class are his vote bank . he is unlikely to give them up.other states may have no say on how delhi is governed.the demands in other states for similar subsidies will just get ignored.maharashtra MPs were asking for reduced power tariff . but it did not work out.

why is it a favour for her party by aligning with BJP. she can do some shadow boxing with bjp to please the minorities and still align with bjp later after elections.nation does not require either modi or j. it can manage well without them.

Money for subsidy is from the centre. He must do dharana and resign. Two nights on the road.

AK would love such a scenario. he can play to the galleries. He will getTV coverage for 2 full days.he will create a constitutional crisis again. life will get interesting for delhi walas. who wants him to govern.? we want entertainment with subsidy after varanasi fun with kejriwal

Galleries will crumble when foreign/CIA/missionary funding for the NGOs is exposed and punished.

AKs' party is here to stay. it will become an alternative in three elections. first election -harne ke liye ,the second harane ke liye and third- jeethne and govt banane ke liye. this was kanshi rams philosophy. AAP will follow this route.

An account of trying to interview Jashodaben, the wife of Narendra Modi, is here and includes this passage:

“When I met her at the school, Jashodaben was as excited as a child and could not stop smiling. She expressed a desire to talk and tell her tale. But the principal of the school, Pravinkumar P Vyas, admonished her for talking to a journalist. “You will only talk to them after school hours. Now go back to your class,” Vyas told her.

She pleaded, “Can I talk to her during the break? It will only take a few minutes.” But the principal was unrelenting.

She left the room meekly, only to come back soon. She said,“I will not say anything against my husband. He is very powerful. This job is all I have to survive. I am afraid of the consequences.” She then went back to her classroom.”

retired govt officials and media advisors are trying to flog a dying horse and get some mileage. It is not ethics.when will we learn the meaning of integrity and rules of decent behavior. we have also the habit of persecuting leaders after they lose power . politics is a dangerous game. thats why good people keep away from it.

At the current tempo of Modism, I will not be surprised if Modi is declared the PM already. Whatever he would do on election, he has successfully divided like-minded people every where - a lesson from British Raj. Whether it is Shiv Sena-MNS, all Dals and Dals in UP, Bihar, MKs and MKs in TN. But Madam J has seen his game. He has already exhibited rank arrogance and what will BJP become is another question. In the global situation, what wonder he is going to do? Wait and watch. Be that as it may, his first job after becoming PM, will be to obtain a proper visa from the US.

polarisation of good vs evil, hindutva secularism vs pseudo secularism, universal benefits vs reservation, national self respect vs groveling to the west, respect for culture vs demeaning of traditions and history - polarisation is good for the long term growth of the country and its population.

modi will not seek us visa, but us may offer it unconditionally when its own interests need it.

Do you really think he is doing all this just to get a US visa - he has led construction for example a futuristic Bus terminal in his home town that is better than any one can imagine in USA or any other place ...What is so great about USA right now that he needs a visa? If the implication is that he is doing all this for personal gain which politician has not ? The question in my mind is if he has real results to show for his governance.

If he was able to divide 'like minded' people they are not like minded to begin with. There is nothing wrong with doing this - it is all part of the process. Comparison to Brittish Raj is inappropriate because the Brittish were ruling the country and were in a power position while Indians continue to want to be subservient.

In a country where self cenered and incompletents rule arrogance is not a bad thing.

While I do not know much about Modi I just think many of the crticisms are not seemingly based on right values , right metrics and facts.

Tamil film industry continues to influence state politics - News Today

Chennai: The everlasting influence of the Tamil film industry over the political scene in the state came to the fore yet again as BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi called on superstar Rajinikant here recently.

A clear attempt by the party leader to add some star power to his political clout in Tamil Nadu, where BJP has stitched a mega alliance with six parties, only underlines the fact that the relationship between cinema and politics in the state since the 1950s remained inseparable.

Cinema, a platform used by politicians since the start of the Dravidian movement to propagate their ideology, continues to design trends in Tamil politics, which is also evident with cinema history of DMK chief M Karunanidhi, AIADMK founder M G Ramachandran and present Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.

While actor Rajinikant is believed to have made only a courtesy gesture by describing Modi a "strong leader and good administrator," BJP leaders are highlighting the meeting of the two in the run-up to the April 24 polls to its advantage.

Coimbatore: Actor Vijay will be calling on BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi here later this evening.

So now when Modi, who is on a two-day visit to Tamilnadu to campaign for NDA candidates in different parts of the State from today, Vijay has used the opportunity to meet him at Coimbatore.

tamilnadu will get mukthi only when film stars are banished from politics. Modi mantra for good governance and development is killing the mandal and obc politics which has dominated the hindi belt politics. similarly only a national party can without film stars and intermediate castes wedded to an economic policy to
banish poverty and promising good governance can help tamilnadu.
