சனி பகவானிடம் அஞ்சாதவர்கள் குறைவு;
சனி நன்மைகள் செய்தால், நமக்கு நிறைவு!

தலை சனி, கண்ட சனி, பாத சனி எனக் கூறி
நிலை தடுமாற வைப்பார்கள் பயத்தினால்!

முப்பதாண்டு வாழ்ந்தவர் இல்லை; மேலும்
முப்பதாண்டு தாழ்ந்தவர் இல்லை என்பதே

சனி பகவான் பன்னிரு ராசிகளில் சுற்றி வர
இனிதே முப்பதாண்டுக் காலம் செல்வதால்!

பரிகாரங்கள் தேடுவது, பலருக்குப் பிடித்தது;
பரிகாரம் செய்ய, கோவில்களை நாடிடுவார்.

மனம் வருத்தத்தை எனக்குத் தருவது அங்கு,
தினம் செய்யும் சோப்பு, ஷாம்பூக் குளியலை

பொதுவான கோவிலின் தீர்த்தக் குளங்களில்
பொதுமக்கள் இறங்கிச் செய்து, சீர் கெடுப்பதே!

தீர்த்தமாட, குளத்தில் இறங்கி அந்தப் புனிதத்
தீர்த்தத்தில் தலை முழுகினாலே போதாதா?

எண்ணையைத் தலையில் கொட்டிக் கொண்டு,
எண்ணைப் பிசுக்கு நீங்க சோப்பும், ஷாம்பூவும்

நிறையத் தேய்த்து, அந்த ரசாயன அழுக்கால்,
குறை நீக்கும் தீர்த்தத்தை கெடுக்கின்றார்கள்!

இறையின் அருள், அழுக்கில் குளித்தாலும்கூடக்
குறை உடலில் வராது காக்குமென நினைப்போ?

ஒரு சிறப்புப் பயணம்...

இறை அருள் வேண்டிப் பயணம் செய்வது, என்றும்
நிறைவான வாழ்வு தரும்; இது சத்தியமே! ! எங்கள்

குல விளக்காய் உதித்த சின்னக் கண்ணம்மாவின்
குழல், முதலில் காணிக்கையாகும் திருமலையில்.

எல்லாம் அறிந்தவர் போல நண்பர், என்னவருக்கு;
எல்லோரும் போற்றிடும் திருப்பதியில் பிறந்தவர்.

வழிகாட்டியாக எம்மை அழைத்துச் சென்று, எளிய
வழியில் இனிய தரிசனம் தாம் செய்து வைப்பதாக,

சத்தியம் செய்யாக் குறையாகப் பேசினார்; ஆனால்,
சத்தியமாக அவருக்கு ஒன்றுமே தெரியாது என்று

அனுபவம் கிடைத்த பின்னேதான் புரிந்தது! அந்த
அனுபவம் சொல்லவே, தொடரும் சில பக்கங்கள்!

உற்ற நண்பராயினும், ஓரளவே நம்பவேண்டுமென
மற்றவர் தெரிந்துகொள்ள, மேலும் தொடருகிறேன்!

உலகம் உய்ய வேண்டும்,

Raji so nice to see your thodarndha payana kadhaigal.. I agree with you.. when someone takes a bath in holy waters, it is just a muzhukku and not a full snanam, it is symbolic and why do people use external products.. if the bakta has so much faith, they should be happy to be in the holy waters..

While visiting Mexico, I found that the Beaches there have a big board saying, do not bring in any tanning lotion or anything with a certain chemical content and pollute our sea.. please be gentle to nature..

So why can't the govt impose something like that.. Just my two cents..

When Sri Velukkudi Krishnan took his followers on a tour to the North, he made it clear to all of them that they should not use

soap or shampoo when they take a dip in holy waters. South Indians are looked down upon by the people in the North because
they make the holy waters dirty by their elaborate baths and washing of their dirty linens! :washing:

திருமலையானை தரிசித்து, வேண்டுதல் நிறைவேற்ற,
திருமலை சென்று வர வண்டி ஏற்பாடு ஆகிவிட்டது.

மதிய உணவுக்கு உடன் வரும் நண்பரையும் அழைத்து
இனிய பயணம் ஆரம்பிக்க எண்ணியதால், சமையல்

வேலை கொஞ்சம் அதிகரிக்க, என்னுடைய வலக்கை
வேலை செய்யச் சகஜ நிலைக்கு வராததால், அன்றும்

'ஸொன்டி சுலோசனா'வாகவே வேலைகளை முடிக்க
வேண்டிய நிலைக்குத் தள்ளப்பட்டேன்! இதனிடையில்,

அடுப்பை அணைக்க என் இடக்கையை உபயோகிக்க,
அடுப்பு அணையாமல் சின்னதாகிவிட, நிமிடங்களில்

பாசத்துடன் பாத்திரத்தோடு ஒட்டிக் கொண்டது, நான்
நேசத்துடன் சமைத்த வெஜிடபள் சாதம்! நல்ல வேளை

உடனே கவனித்து மாற்றியதால், ருசி கெடவில்லை.
உடனே பணம் தந்தேன், வண்டி ஓட்டி உணவகம் போக!

அவனின் பங்குதான் பாத்திரத்துக்கே போய்விட்டதே!
அவன் வந்தவுடன் ஆனந்தமாகப் பயணம் தொடங்கிட,

அந்த ஆனந்தம் நிலைத்தது, சில மணித் துளிகள்தான்!
வந்த புயல்கள் கொண்டு வந்து கொட்டிய மழையினால்,

சிங்காரச் சென்னை வீதிகள், சந்திரனின் குழிகள் போல
அங்கிங்கெனாதபடி எங்கும் பரவலாகக் கொண்டிருக்க,

திருப்பதி செல்லும் வரை இதே நிலைமை நீடித்திருக்க,
ஒரு நன்மை மட்டும் அதில் கண்டு கொண்டேன் நான்!

இந்த நிலைமையில் தெருக்கள் இருந்தால், ஓட்டுகிற
எந்த வண்டி ஓட்டியும் உறங்கிட மாட்டான் அல்லவா?

I drive 3 days from north east to south in USA without any problems.....from Pennsylvania to Florida without any problems....beautiful highways through out I -95 in USA...............i can't drive from Mambalam to Tambaram in singara chennai....
its unimaginable....its shame of our highway system....it takes more than hundred years for singara chennai,,,,,to be same as
highways like USA....sorry for our nature/attitude.....Infact we enjoy driving in USA than by air or other mode of transport...

We travel by road, and air in USA all the time. Virginia to florida. Virginia to Memphis. we flew down to Chicago. We travel i-95 all the time.
In India we generally fly due to time constraints. We travel by road in South and some near delhi jaipur.
It is different each time and we enjoy all modes of travel.

Dear TBS Sir,

Some of the highways are superb in South India too! We drove from Madurai to Kanyakumari once and from Chennai to

Bangalore once. Both the highways are well maintained and good. There may be a few more like this. But in the city, except the

mount road, renamed as Anna salai and beach road, where the VIPs visiting Chennai travel by road, all other roads are horrible.

Comparable to the surface of the moon! Now, Amma Atchi is talking about plastic roads!!

We travel by road, and air in USA all the time. Virginia to florida. Virginia to Memphis. we flew down to Chicago. We travel i-95 all the time..........

Nice to see your comment Prasad Sir! When we visited the US, we drove from Boston to West Virginia thro' New York and

Washington. The journey was very enjoyable and very scenic. The highway from Phoenix to the Grand canyon was very good

with a different scenery. One road went in a straight line for nearly fifty miles! Amazing!

I do agree and I agree with Raji also.. it is very sad with all the man power in India we are unable to have decent roads to travel.. I know the major highways seem quite good, I used to travel Calcutta to Shahaganj, thirty miles away every week, courtesy my dad's car.. the roads in those days were quite good.. the same road traveled to Delhi.. but as you have said the Singara Chennai roads are like the craters on the moon.. so sad..

If the politicians want it they can easily contract and make sure the roads are laid completely end to end.. I never understood why there is about nearly two feet gap with dirt on both sides, when the contractor already had taken so much money can he not provide a FULL ROAD.. the very reason all get dust allergies and mud is splashed on people and passing cars scooters etc.. and the same dust covers all buildings and makes them look dirtier.. that has been my pet peeve every since I have been traveling to Madras.. My lovely madras once upon a time was quite the singara chennai Paavamaa irrukku ippo paarka.. :-(

One of my friends who has come over to SingArach Chennai on vacation from the US writes to me that he stays at home
like a 'padi thAndAp paththini'!! He is so scared to travel in the city! :car: . . . :scared:

எங்கு செலுத்த வேண்டும் என்பதே எம்முடன் வந்த
எல்லாம் அறிந்த நண்பருக்குத் தெரியவே இல்லை!

ஒரு டாக்சி ஓட்டுனரிடம் வழியைக் கேட்ட பிறகு
ஒரு வழியாக இடம் கண்டுபிடித்து, பணம் கட்டிட

திடீரென சைரன் ஒலித்தபடிக் கார் ஒன்று விரைய,
திடீர் விஜயம் செய்யும் முதல்வரின் வருகைக்கு,

முன் அறிவிப்பு அது என அறிந்தோம்; பின் என்ன?
முன் செல்ல ஒருவருக்கும் அனுமதி கிடையாது!

எல்லா வண்டிகளும் ஸ்தம்பித்து நின்றுவிட, ஒரு
நல்ல வெள்ளோட்டம் போல வண்டிகள் பல பறக்க,

எந்த வண்டியில் முதல்வர் செல்கின்றார் என்பதை
எந்த விதத்திலும் அறிய முடியாதபடி, ஒரே நிறக்

கார்கள் பல ஒரே போலச் சென்றன. சென்ற பின்பு
கார்கள் செல்ல அனுமதி கிடைக்க, நாற்பது நிமிட

நேரம் வீணாக, திருப்பதி சென்று அடைய மாலை
நேரம், ஆறு மணி தாண்டி விட்டது! ஒரு கடையில்

தன் மருமகன் இருப்பதாகக் கூறிய நண்பர், அங்கு
தன் சிபாரிசால் சுட்டிக் காப்பி வாங்கித் தந்து, தன்

மருமகனையும் எங்களுடன் வந்திட அழைக்கத்
திருமலை செல்லும் பாதையை அடைந்தோம்.
