5#15a. The third day’s war (1)

Mahishan became heartbroken to learn that Kikshoo and Taamran got killed by Devi. He did not like his army running away in utter confusion. He sent two more asura warrior Asiloman and Bidaalan donned in armors of diamonds.

They went to the battle field which had become red by now. They were wonder stuck by the rare beauty of Devi. Asiloman talked to her with humility. ‘”Oh pretty young lady! We have not harmed you in any manner. Then why are you punishing us and killing our warriors? Who are you? Where have you come from? What is your intention?”

Devi laughed and replied to Asiloman. “You ask me who I am and why I am here. I have not come here from any other place nor will I have to go back to any other place. I do not have to go from place to place. I am already there everywhere.

I am the neutral witness to all the actions performed by every jeevaa. I am neither lenient nor hateful to anyone. I protect the good people from the bad people. I will punish the wrong doers and those who inflict sufferings on the others. Whosoever protects the good people and punishes the evil doers is one of my avatars”

11#7d. மணிகள் தரும் சித்திகள்

ஒரு முக ருத்திராக்ஷம் தரும் பரத்வம்;
இரு முக மணி தரும் ஈஸ்வரப் ப்ரீதி ;

மூன்று முக மணி நீக்கும் ஸ்த்ரீஹத்தி தோஷம்;
நான்கு முக மணி தரும் சம்பத்து, தேக நலன்கள்;

நான்கு முக மணி தரும் மேலும் ஞானச் செல்வம்,
நான்கு முக மணி தரும் மற்றும் உடல் தூய்மை;

ஐந்து முக மணி தரும் ஈஸ்வரப் பிரீத்தி;
ஆறு முக மணி தரும் முருகனின் அருள்;

ஏழு முக மணி தரும் சம்பத்து, புனிதத் தன்மை;
ஏழு முக மணி தரும் மேலும் ஆரோக்யம், ஞானம்;

எட்டு முக மணி அணிபவனுக்குச் சித்திக்கும்
அஷ்ட வசுக்களின் மற்றும் கங்கையின் பிரியம்.

ஒன்பது முக மணி போக்கி விடும் யம பயத்தை;
பத்து முக மணி தரும் திக் தேவதையின் அருள்;

பதினோரு முக மணி தரும் சௌக்ய, சௌபாக்யம்;
பன்னிரண்டு முக மணி தரும் விஷ்ணுவின் பிரியம்;

பதிமூன்று முக மணி தரும் மன்மதனின் பிரியம்
தரும் சுகம், காம ஆற்றல், காம நிறைவுகளை.

பதினான்கு முக மணி தரும் தேக நலன்கள் -இது
அகற்றி விடும் அத்தனை விதப் பிணிகளையும்!

11#7d. The siddhis

The RudrAksha with a single face confers Parathvam or Godliness. The RudrAksha with two faces bestows Eswara preeti. The RudrAksha with three faces removes the sthree haththi dosham.

The RudrAksha with four faces gives wealth, good health, wisdom and purity. The
RudrAksha with five faces confers Maheswara preeti. The RudrAksha with six faces bestows the grace of KArtikEya.

The RudrAksha with seven faces bestows wealth, purity, good health and wisdom. The RudrAksha with eight faces confers the blessings of Ashta vasuand Ganga Devi.

The RudrAksha with nine faces removes the fear of Yama Dharma . The RudrAksha with ten faces confers the grace of the Dik DevatAs.

The RudrAksha with eleven faces gives good fortune and a good life. The RudrAksha with twelve faces confers the blessings of Vishnu.

The RudrAkshawith thirteen faces bestows the grace of Manmatha. It gives pleasure, prowess, sexual energy and sexual satisfaction. The RudrAksha with fourteen faces removes all the diseases and bestows very good health.

#39n. பால லீலைகள் (14)

நாகாஸ்திரத்தை எய்தான் கனலாசுரன்;
நாகாஸ்திரத்தை அழித்தது கருடாஸ்திரம்.

வாளேந்தி எதிர்த்த அசுரனின் ஓங்கிய கை
வாளுடன் வீழ்ந்தது தரையில், அறுபட்டு!

உண்டாயினர் ரத்தத்திலிருந்து அசுரர்கள்!
உண்டது அவர்களை மூன்றாவது கண் தீ!

ருத்திராஸ்திரத்தை எய்தான் கனலாசுரன்;
பத்திரமாகப் பெற்றுக் கொண்டார் கணேசன்.

தண்டத்தால் அடிக்க ஓடி வந்த அசுரனைத்
துண்டித்தது கணேசர் விடுத்த சூலாயுதம்.

சிந்து ராஜன் கலங்கினான் செய்தி கேட்டு;
நொந்து நூலானான் பொங்கும் அச்சத்தால்!

கட்டளையிட்டான் தன் அடிமைகளான
கதிரவன், நிலவு, வருணன், வாயு, தீயை.

“செல்லக் கூடாது திரிசந்தி க்ஷேத்திரம்!”
செல்வதை நிறுத்தி விட்டனர் ஐவரும்.

சூரிய, சந்திரர் உதிக்கவில்லை அங்கே!
நீரோ, காற்றோ, தீயோ இல்லை அங்கே!

முனிவர்கள் பணிந்த்னர் கணேசனை;
முனிவர்கள் துயர் தீர்த்தான் கணேசன்!

தோன்றினர் கதிரவன், வாயு, மேகங்கள்,
கணேசனின் வலது திருவிழியிலிருந்து!

தோன்றினர் அக்னியும், சந்திரனும்,
கணேசனின் இடது திருவிழியிலிருந்து!

“சிந்து ராஜன் என்னைத் தேடி வராததால்,
சிந்து ராஜனைத் தேடி நானே செல்வேன்!”

அறிந்தார் கணேசனின் கருத்தைச் சிவன்,
தோற்றுவித்தார் ஒரு கோடி பூதங்களை.

மயூரத்தின் மேல் அமர்ந்து சென்றான் கணேசன்,
முருகன், நந்தி, வீரபத்திரர் மற்றும் பூதர்களுடன்.

5#15b. மூன்றாவது யுத்தம் (2)

“துராத்மா ஆகிவிட்டான் மஹிஷாசுரன்;
துன்புறுத்துகிறான் தேவர்களை வதைத்து.

சம்ஹார வடிவம் எடுத்து வந்துள்ளேன்!
சம்சாரம் அவனுடன் நடத்துவதற்கல்ல!

புறப்பட்டு வரச் சொல் அவனை இங்கு;
பிறரை அனுப்புவதால் என்ன பயன்?

செய்யட்டும் கடுமையான போர் – அன்றேல்
செய்து கொள்ளட்டும் சமாதான உடன்பாடு.

வேண்டும் சமாதனம் என்றால் – செய்ய
வேண்டும் அவன் ஒரு நற்செலையை!

தர வேண்டும் சுவர்க்கத்தை இந்திரனுக்கு!
தர வேண்டும் விடுதலையைத் தேவர்களுக்கு!

செல்ல வேண்டும் அவன் பாதாள உலகுக்கு;
சொல்ல வேண்டும் நீர் இதை மஹிஷனுக்கு.

யோசித்தனர் அசிலோமனும், பிடாலனும்.
பேசிக் கொண்டனர் செய்ய வேண்டியதை.

“அறிவான் மஹிஷன் தன் மரணம் பற்றி
அறிந்தும் அனுப்பினான் நம்மை இங்கு.

செத்து மடிகின்றது சேனை என்றாலும்
யுத்த களத்துக்கு அனுப்புகிறான் மேலும்.

ஊழியர்கள் நாம் மன்னன் மஹிஷனுக்கு;
ஊழியர்கள் பணிய வேண்டும் ஆணைக்கு.

சுதந்திர எண்ணங்கள் வரலாகாது நமக்கு;
சூத்திரப் பாவைகள் நாம் மறக்கக் கூடாது.

‘பாதாள லோகம் சென்றுவிடு’ என்று நாம்
பாதிப்பு இன்றிக் கூற முடியுமா அவனிடம்?

‘திருப்பிக் கொடு தேவர்கள் சொத்தை’ என்றால்
திருப்பி அடிப்பான் நம்மை சினத்துடன் முதலில்!

கடமையைச் செய்வோம் நாம் இருவரும்,
மடமை அது என்று அறிந்திருந்த போதும்!”

சென்றனர் இருவரும் தேவியுடன் போருக்கு;
சென்றது அசுரவீரர் படையும் பின் தொடர்ந்து.

5#15b. The third day’s war (2)

Devi continued talking to Asiloman and Bidaalan, “Mahishan has been corrupted by his absolute power. He is harassing the Devaas. I have come here to put an end to him and his atrocities. I have not come to marry him and make him happy.

Tell him to come out of the safety of his palace and meet me. If he wishes to fight there will be a war. If he wants peace, there will be peace. But he will have to return swarggam to Indra and the other Devaas. He along with his citizen must return to Paataala. Convey this message to your mighty king Mahishan”

Asiloman and Bidaalan talked between themselves as to what was to be done by them now. “Mahishan knows well about his boon and the clause about his death in a woman’s hands. Yet he keeps sending the other asuraas to the war front. He sees them getting killed. Yet he keeps sending more and more asuras.

We are his servants and our job is to obey his commands. We should not have independent opinions. We have no freedom to think on our own. Can we go back and tell him to return to Paataala without incurring his wrath?

Can we tell him to return swarggam and all its treasures to Indra without getting beaten up first. We know that what we are going to do is foolish and yet we have to do it as our duty – out of loyalty to our king.”

They went on to fight with Devi. The army of asuraas followed them loyally.

11#8a. பூத சுத்தி

[ குருமுகமாகப் பயில வேண்டும் இதை! ]

தட்டி எழுப்ப வேண்டும் குண்டலினி சக்தியை;
இட்டுச் செல்ல வேண்டும் பிரமரந்திரத்துக்கு;

செலுத்த வேண்டும் இதைச் சக்கரங்கள் வழியே;
செலுத்த வேண்டும் இதை சுஷும்ன நாடி வழியே.

அடக்க வேண்டும் பஞ்ச பூதங்களை ஒவ்வொன்றாக;
அடக்க வேண்டும் பஞ்ச பூதங்களை ஒன்றில் ஒன்றாக!

அடக்க வேண்டும் நிலத்தை நீரினில்;
அடக்க வேண்டும் நீரை நெருப்பினில்;

அடக்க வேண்டும் நெருப்பைக் காற்றில்,
அடக்க வேண்டும் காற்றை ஆகாயத்தில்;

அடக்க வேண்டும் ஆகாயத்தை அஹங்காரத்தில்;
அடக்க வேண்டும் அஹங்காரத்தை மஹத் தத்துவத்தில்;

அடக்க வேண்டும் மஹத் தத்துவத்தை பிரகிருதியில்;
அடக்க வேண்டும் பிரகிருதியை மாயையில்;

அடக்க வேண்டும் மாயையை ஆன்மாவில்;
அடங்கி விடும் அத்தனையும் ஆன்மாவில்!

பந்திக்க வேண்டும் அவற்றைச் சுத்த ஞான ஸ்வரூபத்தில்;
சிந்திக்க வேண்டும் அவற்றை எண்ணி எண்ணி நன்றாக;

அடைக்க வேண்டும் இதயத் தாமரையில்
ஆன்மாவை 'சோஹம்' என்ற மந்திரத்தால்!

ஸ்தாபிக்க வண்டும் இதயத் தாமரையில்
சிவத்தோடு இணைந்த குண்டலினியை!

பிரகாசிக்கின்றாள் குண்டலினி செந்தாமரையில்
ரத்தப் பெருக்கில் ஒளிரும் ஒரு கப்பலைப் போல!

சூலம், அங்குசம், கரும்பு வில், பாணங்கள் ஏந்தி
மூன்று கண்களோடும், கும்ப ஸ்தனங்களோடும்

உதய சூரியன் என்று ஒளிர்பவளிடம் பக்தியுடன்
உன்னத பிராண சக்தியை வேண்டிக் கொள்வோம்!

அணிய வேண்டும் திருநீற்றை உடலில் ஒருவன்
அடைய விரும்பினால் சர்வாதிகார சக்தியை.

11# 8. Bhoota Suddhi

[ This is to be learned from a qualified Sat Guru correctly! ]

The KuNdalini Shakti must be awakened by PrAnAyAma and guided through the Sushumna NAdi to the Bramarandra on the top of the skull. The KuNdalini has to cross all the six chakras on its path.

The Pancha bhootAs must be dissolved one by one in the reverse order of Creation. The Earth is to be dissolved in Water. The Water is to be dissolved in Agni. The Agni must be dissolved in VAyu. The VAyu must be dissolved in the AakAsha. The AakAsha must be dissolved in the AhankAra.

The AhankAra must be dissolved in the Mahat Tatva. The Mahat Tatva is to be dissolved in Prakruti. The Prakrtiu is to be dissolved in MAyA. The MAyA is to dissolved in the Aatman. Everything gets dissolved in the Aatman finally.

All these must be contemplated upon as Suddha GnAna swaroopam. The Aatman must be kept in the heart region by the 'Soham' mantra. The KuNdalini Shakti is then established along with Siva in the heart region.

Kundalini shines like a ship in a red sea. She sits on a red lotus holding in her hands Trisoolam, Ankusham, a bow of sugar cane and the arrows. She has three lovely eyes and very attractive breasts. She shines bright like the rising Sun. We have pray to her to grant us the PrANa Shakti.

VIbhooti (THE HOLY ASH) must be worn on the body in order to acquire the Siddhi of controlling others.

#39p. நந்தியின் தூது

இறங்கினார் படைகளுடன் நகருக்கு வெளியே;
சிறந்த நந்தியை அனுப்பினார் தன் தூதுவராக.

‘திறமை வேண்டும் நம் கட்சியை உரைக்க;
அறிவு வேண்டும் நிலைமையை சமாளிக்க.’

அரச சபையை அடைந்தார் நந்தி தேவர்;
அரன் அருளால் தோன்றியது அரிய அரியணை.

மிடுக்காக அமர்ந்தார் அரியணை மீது;
திடுக்கிட்டான் சிந்துராஜன் அது கண்டு!

“யார் நீ? எங்கு வந்தாய்? எதற்கு வந்தாய்?
யார் அனுப்பினார் உன்னை? உண்மை கூறு”

“மயூரேசர் அனுப்பிய தூதுவன் நான் நந்தி.
அபூர்வ வரங்கள் தீங்கிழைப்பதற்காகவா?

முனிவருக்கும் தேவருக்கும் தருகின்றாய்
இனிமேல் தாங்க முடியாத துன்பங்களை!

சிறையில் வாட்டுகின்றாய் தேவர்களை;
குறை சொல்லத் துணியவில்லை எவரும்!

பரம் பொருளே பிறந்துள்ளார் கணேசனாக;
அதன் பொருள் உன் அழிவு நிச்சயம் என்பது.

சிறைவிடு தேவர்களை உடனேயே – உன்
குறைகளை மன்னித்து விடுவார் மயூரேசர்.

மன்னித்தால் வாழ்வாய் நெடுங்காலம்;
மறுத்தால் வீழ்வாய் வெகு விரைவில்!

மலை போல நம்பியிருந்த அசுர வீரர்கள்
நிலை குலைந்து மாய்ந்ததை மறவாதே!

முடிவு செய்வாய் நன்கு சிந்தித்த பின்னர்,
மடியப் போகிறாயா? வாழப் போகிறாயா?”

கலகலவென்று நகைத்தான் சிந்து ராஜன்;
கண்களில் கனல் எழ விழித்தான் பின்னர்.

“வலிமையற்ற அசுரரைப் போல என்னையும்
வலிமையற்றவன் என்று நீ கருதிவிட்டாயா?

தூதுவனாக வந்ததால் செல்வாய் மீண்டு;
வேறு மனிதர்கள் சென்றதில்லை மீண்டு.”

BHAARGAVA PURAANAM - PART 2

#39p. Nandi’s message

MayoorEsar reached the outskirts the city. He sent Nandi as his personal messenger to Sindhu RAjan. Nandi was capable of delivering the message correctly and handling any situation that might arise.

Nandi reached Sindu RAjan’s durbar. He was humiliated by the king and was not offered a seat. A wonderful throne appeared for him by Lord Siva’s grace. He sat on it very confidently and Sindhu RAjan was shocked to see this.

He fired many questions at Nandi, ” Who are you? Why are you here? Who has sent you? And for what purpose?”

Nandi replied. “I am the messenger of MayoorEsar. You have obtained many special boons. Are they for living happily or for troubling the other innocent people? You are causing a lot of sufferings to the rushis. You have imprisoned the DEvA.

MayoorEsar is none but the God Supreme. He is sure to destroy you. You may still live, if you release all the DEvA and beg for the pardon of MayoorEsar. Remember how all the mighty asurAs sent by you were killed by MayoorEsar as if in a child’s play.

Think well before you make a decision. Are you going to live for a long time by seeking his pardon or are you in a hurry to leap towards your death?”

Sindhu RAjan laughed loudly in his anger. He rolled his bloodshot eyes and spoke to Nandi, “Do You think I am also powerless like the asuras who got killed by your MayoorEsar? I will spare your life since you have come here as a messenger. Otherwise no one has gone back alive from here till now!”

5#15c. மூன்றாவது யுத்தம் (3)

முன்னம் போர் புரிந்தான் பிடாலன் – அதை
நின்று பார்த்திருந்தான் அசிலோம அசுரன்.

மூன்று பாணங்கள் தாக்கி விழுந்து போரில்
இன்னுயிரை விடுத்தான் அரக்கன் பிடாலன்.

முன்னுக்கு வந்தான் அசிலோமன் இப்போது,
“மன்னனுக்காக விடுவேன் என் இன்னுயிரை!”

எய்தான் பாணங்களை அவன் தேவி மீது!
எய்தாள் பாணங்களை தேவி அவன் மீது!

இரத்த மயமனது அவன் வைரக் கவசம்;
இருந்தான் கல்யாண முருங்கை போல்!

தாக்கினான் சிம்மத்தைக் கதையினால்;
தாக்கியது சிம்மம் அவனை நகங்களால்.

தாவினான் சிங்கத்தின் மீது அசிலோமன்;
தாக்கினான் தேவியைத் தன் கதையால்.

கொய்தாள் தேவி அசிலோமன் சிரசை.
தொய்ந்தான் அசுரன் மண்ணில் சாய்ந்து.

இறந்த அசுரர்களைத் தின்றது சிம்மம்.
இருந்த அசுரரையும் தின்றது சிம்மம்.

தப்பிய வீரர்கள் விரைந்தனர் சபைக்கு;
செப்பினர் போரில் நிகழ்த்தவைகளை.

பிரமித்தான் மகிஷன் இவற்றைக் கேட்டு
பிரமை பிடித்து நின்றான் செய்வதறியாது.

5#15c. The third day’s war

At first Bidaalan fought with Devi and Asiloman stood watching them. Bidaalan fell dead to the three arrows shot by Devi. Now it was Asiloman’s turn to fight Devi. He and Devi exchanged speeding arrows in a fierce fight.

Devi’s arrows pierced his diamond armor and he started there bleeding profusely – resembling a Kalyaana- murungai tree. Asiloman hit Devi’s lion with his mace. The lion attacked him with its sharp nails.

Asiloman jumped on to the lion and hit Devi with his mace. Devi promptly decapitated him. Asiloman fell dead on the ground. The lion ate the dead asuras. The lion also ate the asuraas who were still alive.

Those who managed to escape, ran back to the durbar of Mahishan and told him of the happenings. Mahishan went into a shock not knowing what to do now!

11# 9. சிரோ விரதம்

சிரோ விரதமாகக் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது - விபூதி
விரதம் அதர்வண வேதத்தில் மிக விரிவாக.

எண் ஜாண் உடலுக்குச் சிரசே பிரதானம் அல்லவா?
எல்லா விரதங்களுக்கும் சிரோ விரதமே பிரதானம்!

சிரோ விரதத்துக்கு உட்புகாத அந்தணர்கள்
உரியவர் ஆக மாட்டார் பிரம்ம வித்தைக்கு!

ஆசாரத்தில் விளையாது பலன் - அக்கறையின்றி
சிரோ விரதத்தை ஓர் அந்தணன் புறக்கணித்தால்.

அடைவான் சிரோ விரதத்தை அனுஷ்டிப்பவன்
அனைத்து விரதங்களையும், வித்தைகளையும்!

உச்சாடனம் செய்யவேண்டும் மந்திரங்களை
உடலில் திருநீறு பூசிக் கொள்ளும் பொழுது.

சிறப்பாகும் சந்தியா காலங்களில் தரிப்பது ;
சங்கற்பம் செய்து கொண்டும் தொடங்கலாம்.

ஆயிரம் பிறவியில் வேதம் அனுஷ்டிப்பவருகே
அமையும் சிரத்தை சிரோ விரதம் செய்வதில்.

வேத கர்மங்களை அனுஷ்டிக்காதவனுக்கு
விளையும் வெறுப்பு; விளையாது சிரத்தை.

தரிக்க வேண்டும் திரு நீற்றை கிருஹஸ்தன்
ஓங்காரத்துடனும், ஹம்ஸ மந்திரத்துடனும்.

தரிக்க வேண்டும் திரு நீற்றை பிக்ஷுக்கள்
த்ரயம்பக மந்திரம், சிவ மந்திரங்களுடன்.

தரிக்க வேண்டும் பிரம்மச்சாரி திரு நீற்றை
திரியாயுஷ, மேதாவி மந்திரங்கள் சொல்லி.

விரக்தியை வளர்க்கும் திருநீறு தரிப்பது!
எரித்து விடும் செய்த பாவங்களை எல்லாம்!

11#9. Shiro vratam

Vibhooti Vrata is described as the Shiro Vrata in Atharva VEda. Siras or the head is the most important part of a body. In the same way Shiro Vrata is the best and the most important of all the Vratas.

A brahmin who does not take up Shiro Vrata is unfit for acquiring Brahma Vidhya. AchAra will not help-if Shiro Vrata is neglected by a Brahmin. One who observes Shiro Vrata will obtain very easily all the VidhyAs and Vratas.

Mantras must be uttered while the Vibhooti is applied to the body. Vibhooti must be worn or smeared on during the SandhyA KAlam. It can be done with Sankalpam also.

Only a person who has followed the VedAs during one thousand life times will have interest in Shiro Vrata. One who had neglected the VedAs will have only hatred for Vibhooti and not sraddha.

A Gruhasta must apply Vibhooti uttering OmkAra and the Hamsa Manta. A SanyAsi must utter the Tryambaka Mantra and the other Siva Mantas while smearing the vibhooti. A BrahmachAri must utter the MEdhAvi Mantra and TriyAyusha Mantra while smearing the11#9. Shiro vratam

Mantras must be uttered while the Vibhooti is applied to the body. Vibhooti must be worn or smeared on during the SandhyA KAlam. It can be done with Sankalpam also.

Only a person who has followed the VedAs during one thousand life times will have interest in Shiro Vrata. One who had neglected the VedAs will have only hatred for Vibhooti and not sraddha.

A Gruhasta must apply Vibhooti uttering OmkAra and the Hamsa Manta. A SanyAsi must utter the Tryambaka Mantra and the other Siva Mantas while smearing the vibhooti. A BrahmachAri must utter the MEdhAvi Mantra and TriyAyusha Mantra while smearing theVibhooti.

Smearing Vibhooti will develop VirAgyam (Determination) and Virakti(Dispassion). It will burn all the sins committed by the person.

“தூதுவன் என்பதால் உயிரோடு விடுகிறாயா?
தூதுவன் என்பதால் தான் செல்கிறேன் நானும்!

சாம்பலாக்குவேன் உன்னை ஒரு கணத்தில்!
சந்தகம் இருந்தால் பார் என் வலிமையினை!””

ஹூங்காரம் செய்தார் நந்தி தேவர்- அந்த
ஹூங்காரத்தில் நடுங்கியது அரண்மனை!

விழுந்தனர் ஆசனந்களிலிருந்து தரையில்;
எழும்பினார் விண்ணில் ஆகாய மார்க்கமாக.

படைகளை அழைத்தான் சிந்து ராஜன் – பல
படைகள் வந்தன பல இடங்களில் இருந்து.

ரதத்திலேறிச் சென்றான் போர்க்களம் சிந்து;
ரதத்தைப் படைவீரர் நடந்தனர் தொடர்ந்து.

பொருதார் மித்திரனுடன் சுப்பிரமணியர்;
பொருதார் கவுத்துவனுடன் வீரபத்திரர்;

பொருதார் வீரராசனுடன் நந்தி தேவர்;
பொருதனர் அவரவர் தம் சக்திக்கேற்ப.

மாயப் போர் புரியலானான் மித்திரன்;
ஆயாசம் அடைந்தது இறைவன் படை.

நவசக்தி குமாரரை அல்லல் படுத்தினான்;
நவ வீரர்கள் கொன்றனர் தேர் சாரதியை.

ஒரே நொடியில் ஏறினான் வேறு தேரில்;
ஒன்பது பாணங்களை எய்தார் வீரவாகு.

மித்திரன் மயங்கி விழுந்தான் தரையில்!
உக்கிரம் அதிகரித்தது தெளிந்த எழுந்ததும்.

சுப்பிரமணியர் வந்தார் தானே போர்செய்ய;
தப்பாமல் எய்தான் சரமழையை மித்திரன்.

அப்பாவி போல் சென்று வணங்கின – அவன்
சுப்பிரமணியர் மீது விடுத்த அஸ்திரங்கள்!

வானில் எழும்பிப் போரிட்டான் அதன்பின்;
வீணானது அவன் முயற்சிகள் எல்லாம்.

வாளை உருவிக் கொண்டு ஓடி வந்தவனை
வஜ்ஜிராயுதத்தால் வதைத்தார் சுப்பிரமணியர்.

வாழ்க வளமுடன், விசாலாக்ஷி ரமணி.

#39q. Nandi DEvar

“So you spare my life since I have come as a messenger! I too spare your life since I have come here as a messenger. I can destroy you in a second. If you doubt my power look at this.” Nandi spoke thus and did a loud hoonkAram.

The whole palace trembled in the power of the sound he made. Everybody fell down from his throne. Nandi rose in the sky and went back to MayoorEsar.

Sindhu RAjan summoned all his soldiers. They came from far and wide from every country and every land. Sindhu RAjan mounted on his chariot and left for the battle field. The chaturanga sena followed him.

Lord SubramaNya fought with Mithran; Veerbadran fought with Kouthuvan and Nandi fought with Veera RAjan. Each one fought with an enemy of equal strength.

Mithran resorted to MAyA tricks. The army of the God faced a set back. Mithran troubled the Nava sakthi kumArAs. They killed his sArathi but Mithran jumped on to another chariot and fought valiantly.

VeerabAhu shot nine arrows on Mithran and he fainted in the battle field. When he came round, he was more aggressive then before. SubramaNya himself came to fight with Mithran once again.

The asthrams shot by Mithran on SubramNnya did not harm him in any way but surrendered to him meekly.Now Mithran fought from the sky but his valor was completely wasted.

When he ran towards SubramaNya with a drawn sword, he was killed by VajrAyudam released by SubramaNya.

5#16a. மஹிஷன் வாக்குவாதம்

கொல்லப்பட்டனர் சிறந்த தளபதிகள் இருவர் எனச்
சொல்லொண்ணாத சினம் கொண்டான் மஹிஷன்.

அழைத்தான் தன் தேரோட்டி அரக்கன் தாருகனை,
“அலங்கரிப்பாய் என் நூதன ரதத்தை உடனே!’ என

பூட்டப் பட்டன ஆயிரம் கோவேறு கழுதைகள்;
சூட்டப் பட்டன பலவிதமான அலங்காரங்கள்.

நிறைத்தான் தன் ரதத்தை ஆயுதங்களால்;
நினைத்தான் மஹிஷன் தன் உருவை எண்ணி.

“அருவருப்பாள் மஹிஷனாகக் கண்டவுடன்,
விரும்புவாள் ஒரு மன்மதனாகக் கண்டால்!”

மோகன வாலிபன் உருவெடுத்தான் மஹிஷன்;
மோகம் ஊட்டும்படி அலங்கரித்துக் கொண்டான்.

சங்கெடுத்து ஊதினாள் அவனைக் கண்ட தேவி.
தங்கு தடையின்றிப் பேசினான் புன்னகையுடன்.

“தாய் தந்தையருக்கு உத்தம சுகம் தருவது
தாம் பெற்ற பிள்ளைகளை வாரியணைப்பது!

அணைப்பது சஹோதரனை மத்யம சுகம்.
அணைப்பது தொழில் நண்பனை அதம சுகம்.

காம வசப்பட்டவர் கூடுவது பெரும் இன்பம்;
சம வயதுள்ள ஆண் பெண் பெறுவர் இன்பம்.

குலம், குணம், வயது, அழகு பொருந்தியவர்
கூடுவது அனைத்திலும் பெரிய இன்பம் தரும்.

விரும்பும் உருவம் எடுக்க வல்லவன் நான்!
திருப்தி செய்விக்கின்ற திறமை படைத்தவன்.

குவிந்துள்ளது செல்வம் என் மாளிகையில்;
குவிப்பேன் அவற்றை உன் இரு காலடியில்.

அடி பணிவேன் நீ இடும் ஆணைகளுக்கு!
அடிமை ஆகிவிட்டேன் உன் பேரெழிலுக்கு!

கெஞ்சியதில்லை ஒருவரையும் இதுபோல!
கொஞ்சியதில்லை ஒருவரையும் இதுபோல!

பலவீனன் என்று எண்ணிவிடாதே - என்
பலத்தை நன்கறியும் மூன்று உலகங்களும்!”

5#16a. Mahishan’s argument

Mahishan was terribly upset to hear about the end of Asiloman and Bidaalan in the hands of Devi. He decided to go and fight with her himself. He ordered his charioteer Taarukan to get his chariot ready.

His chariot was pulled by one thousand ponies and it was decorated with many attractive articles. Mahishan filled it up with all his deadly weapons. He thought about his buffalo face.

“If I go as Mahishan, she will get disgusted and never love me. But If I go as beautiful as Manmathan, may be she will fall in love with me!” He transformed himself to a handsome man and decorated himself attractively.

The moment Devi saw him approaching, she took out her conch and blew it. Mahishan went near her and spoke fluently thus, “The greatest joy or Utthama sukham for any parents lies in embracing their own children. Embracing one’s brother gives madhyama sukam. Embracing a friend gives adhama sukham.

The union of a man and a woman who are in love gives them great happiness. If they are well matched in age, beauty, race, qualities and attitudes it will give them a greater pleasure.

I can take any form I wish to. I can give you complete satisfaction. All the wealth of the world lie heaped in my palace. I shall lay them at your feet to do what you like with them.
I will obey your command and wishes. I shall be a slave to your beauty and love. I have never desired anyone more than I do you. I have never begged anyone more than I do now. Do not think that I am a weakling. All the three worlds know about my power and valor”

தரிக்கலாம் முதல் மூன்று வர்ணத்தவரும்
நித்தியாக்னியில் உண்டாகும் பஸ்மத்தை.

தரிக்கலாம் முதல் மூன்று வர்ணத்தவர்
விரஜாக்னியில் உண்டாகும் பஸ்மத்தை.

தரிக்கலாம் கிருஹஸ்தர்கள் அனைவரும்
ஔபஸனாக்னியில் உண்டாகும் பஸ்மத்தை.

தரிக்கலாம் பிரம்மசாரிகள் அனைவரும்
சமிதாக்னியில் உண்டாகும் பஸ்மத்தை.

தரிக்கலாம் நான்கு வர்ணத்தவர்களும்
பசனாக்னியில் உண்டாகும் பஸ்மத்தை.

தரிக்கலாம் மற்ற குலத்தவர் அனைவரும்
தாவாக்னியில் உண்டாகும் பஸ்மத்தை.

11#10. GauNa Bhasma

The first three varnAs can use the Bhasma of the NithYAgni and VirajAgni.
GruhastAs may use the Bhasma of the OupAsanAgni.
BrahmachAris may use the Bhasma of SamithAgni.
All the four VarnAs can use the Bhasma of PachanAgni.
The other people can use the Bhasma created by the wild forest fires.

கௌவுத்துவன் போரிட்டான் வீரபத்திரருடன்
கவிழ்ந்தான் அவனும் அவர் கை பாணத்துக்கு!

ஒரு கரத்தை நந்தியிடம் இழந்த வீரராஜன்,
மறுகரத்தில் வாள் பற்றி வந்தான் போருக்கு.

வீரசுவர்க்கம் அடைந்தான் நந்தி கைகளில்;
வீரர்கள் சிதறி ஓடலாயினர் புறமுதுகிட்டு.

ஒன்று சேர்த்தான் சிந்து எஞ்சிய வீரரை;
சென்று போரிட்டான் பெரும் வீரத்துடன்.

தளபதியை இழந்த படை பலவீனமானது
தளரவில்லை மனம் சிந்துவின் படைவீரர்

கணேசர் வந்தார் சிந்துவை நெருங்கியபடி;
கணேசரிடம் பேசினான் சிந்து சிரித்தபடி.

“என்னுடன் போர்புரியும் சின்னக் குழந்தை நீயா ?
இன்னமும் அஞ்சி அன்னையிடம் ஓடவில்லையா?

பிஞ்சுக் குழந்தாய்! நான் சொல்வதைக் கேள்!
அஞ்சுவது அஞ்சாமை அறிவின்மை” என்றான்.

“வரங்கள் தந்த வலிமையால் பேசுகிறாய்.
வரங்கள் வலிமை இழந்தது அறியாய்!

என்று தேவர்களைச் சிறையிலிட்டாயோ
அன்று தொடங்கின உனது இன்னல்கள்

உன்னை அழிக்கவே பிறந்துள்ளேன்
இன்னமும் நீ வாழலாம் நெடுங்காலம்

சிறைவிடு தேவர்களை; பணிந்திடு என் பதம்;
திருந்தினால் வாழ்வாய் அன்றேல் அழிவாய்!”

சிந்துவின் கண்களில் சிந்தின தீப்பொறிகள்!
முன்னிலும் அதிக உக்கிரமாக ஆனான்.

39r. GanEsha

Kouthuvan fought with Veerabadran and died in his hands. VeerarAjan lost one of his arms to Nandhi but charged at him valiantly holding his sword in the other hand. Nandhi killed him and sent him to Veera swarggam.

The army started running in confusion since it had lost all the generals. Sindhu RAjan gathered all those soldiers. GanEsha came close to Sindhu RAjan and he asked GanEsha with a smile, “Are you the child who is fighting with me now? I thought you had run off to your mother in fear. You must learn to fear what deserves to be feared”

GanEsha spoke to him, “You talk in this manner since you are sure of the boons bestowed on you. But they have lost their protecting power long ago. Your problems have started on the day you imprisoned the DEvA. I am born only to destroy you. You may still live if you release all the imprisoned Deva and seek my pardon. Otherwise it is complete destruction for you!”

Sparks of fire appeared in Sindhu RAjan’s eyes due to his uncontrolled anger and he became more savage in his attacks.

5#16b. தேவியின் மறுமொழி

புன்னகை செய்தாள் தேவி இதைக் கேட்டு;
“நன்கு அறிவேன் உன்னை நான் மஹிஷனே!

அறிந்து கொள்ளவில்லை நீ என்னை நன்கு;
பிறரை விரும்பேன் நாதன் சிவனைத் தவிர.

இன்று உள்ளவன் நீ! என்றும் உள்ளவள் நான்!
உன்னால் காண முடியுமா என்னை உள்ளபடி?

பார்க்க முடியும் என்னை சர்வேஸ்வரனால்,
பார்ப்பார் என்னைத் தன் ஆக்ஞா சக்தியாக.

காந்தத்தால் இயக்கம் அடையும் இரும்பு – நான்
காந்தனால் இயக்கம் அடைவேன் என்றறிவாய்!

சம்சாரச் சகதி அல்லவே நான் – சம்சார
சாகரத்தைத் தாண்டுவிக்கும் ஓடம் நான்.

பெண் இன்பம் பேரின்பம் என்னும் மூடனே!
பெண் தளைப்படுத்தும் ஒரு சம்சாரச் சங்கிலி.

அறுத்து விட முடியும் இரும்புச் சங்கிலியை!
அறுக்க முடியாது சம்சாரத்தின் தளைகளை!

துர்நாற்றம் வீசுகின்ற, சிறுநீர் பாய்ச்சுகின்ற
துவாரத்தில் என்ன சுகம் இருக்க முடியும்?

புலன்களை அடக்குவதே உண்மையான சுகம்;
புலன்களுக்கு அடங்குவது உண்மையில் துக்கம்.

கலவி சுகம் கிடைக்குமெனக் கனவு காணாதே!
மூல காரணம் அழிவுக்கு, அமரர் மீது பகைமை

இனி நிச்சயமானது உன் அழிவு – பிழைக்க
இனத்தாரோடு சென்று விடு பாதாள லோகம்.

உன்னிடம் உயிர் வாழும் ஆசை இருந்தால்
என்னிடம் தோன்றாது கொல்லும் எண்ணம்.

சென்று விடு உடனே உயிர் வாழ நினைத்தால்;
கொன்று விடுவேன் உன்னுடன் போர் புரிந்தால்!”

5#16b. Devi’s reply

Devi smiled on hearing Mahishan’s elaborate speech. She replied, “I know you well Mahishan! Only you do not know anything about me! I will never love anyone other than my lord and my husband Siva.

You exist today. I exist always! How can you know my real nature? But my husband Siva can see me as I really am. He will know me a his Aagnaa shakti.

An iron piece acquires mobility with the help of a magnet. I get my movements with the help of my lord Siva, I am not the slush of Samsaaraa. On the contrary I am the boat which helps a jeeva to cross the ocean of samsaaraa.

You say that the union with a women is the greatest happiness on earth. What happiness can a hole which smells foul and drains the urine from the body ?

The real happiness lies in controlling and conquering the sense organs. Giving in to them is a sorrow and not a pleasure or happiness. Do not even dream that I shall give you that which you consider as a pleasure.
Your hatred and enmity towards Deva is going to cost you your dear life. Your fate is sealed. If you really want to live go with your kith, kin and clan to Paataala immediately. But if there is going to be a war then you will surely perish.”
