Have you seen anyone like this in real life?
Please show her to me so that I can give her my namaskars.
Some women may have some of these qualities
but all in one person ...??? Almost impossible.
A Woman is a bundle of controversies,
a rare combination of the extremes.
I can't tell lies just because I too happen to be a woman!

Every Mother must be a positive example or role model to her daughter in terms of :
Faithful Wife, Dignified, Forgiving and Self Controlled, Usage of kind words, Gentle,
Good understanding, Patient, Mature, Respectful, Consistent, Compassionate, Moral
Support, Nourisher, Teach and Train, Not easily provoked and above all Godly.

The years to come seemed waste of breath,
A waste of breath the years behind,
In balance with this life, this death. :pout:

Of a land where even the old are fair, :music:
And even the wise are merry of tongue. :blabla:

The wrong of the unshapely things is a wrong too great to be told.

# 15. Old is Gold.

In the olden times, toilet training of the little babies was started as soon as their necks became stronger. The child would be helped to sit on the feet of the mother with her ankle planted on the ground and the feet lifted to make a little raised step to sit on.

The baby 's back will be supported by the legs of the mother. In a few days the baby will learn to pass urine and motion in this posture.

Very few cloth napkins were needed. When they became wet, they were immediately replaced by a fresh, clean, dry one.

Now the child does all its "shee" and "shoo" in the diaper. They are leak-proof and very convenient for the parents...until they have to face the ordeal of changing it.

It is also a hell for the baby to be packed with its own urine and feces for many hours!

Rashes is the most common outcome but more serious things can also happen especially to the vulnerable female children.

These napkins may be used for convenience when forced to travel. But using it on everyday basis for months and years is harmful to the child. Once they get used to this system, it is very difficult to make them use the lavatory.

Now it is time to get :scared: again with the mind blowing facts and figures!

A child needs 6000-10,000 disposable diapers prior to toilet training. Soiled diapers are usually tosses into household, hospital or roadside garbage.

how healthy is your baby in disposable diaper

* In the US alone, 18 billion diapers end up in landfills every year, adding 5 million tones of untreated human waste to the soil.

* Each diaper can take up to 500 years to decompose. Almost 30 percent of each diaper consists of non-biodegradable products such as absorbent vinyl layers, elastics, Velcro, absorbent gelling material in addition to plastic packaging.

* As many as 100 viruses can survive in solid diapers for up to two weeks including live polio virus excreted by recent-vaccinated babies. The germs constitute a potential hazard to sanitation workers and garbage handlers.

* A US environmental Protection Agency scientist concluded
that rodents and vectors pose a health hazard if human waste is mixed with garbage.

disposable diaper

* The American Public Health Association and American Academy of Pediatrics have advised parents that 'fecal material and urine should not be allowed to be co-mingled and disposed of as regular trash and thereby contaminate ground water and spread disease.'

* There is no safe way to dispose of single-use diaper. Flushing them down the toilet cause 95 percent of clogged sewer lines in the US and create 43,000 tonnes of extra sludge per year.

* Each baby in single-use diapers consumes 4.5 trees (for making paper used in diapers) and puts two tones of solid waste into our environment (based on 2 years in diapers).

* Disposables pose safely concerns for babies, who can pull these diapers apart and choke on plastic and pieces of lining.

* Many doctors claim there is a rise in infections, especially in baby girls, as parents tend to change single-use diapers much less often than cloth diapers.

* Studies by a leading US manufacturer of disposables show the incidence of diaper rash increases from 7.1 percent to 61 percent with the increased use of their products. The reasons for more rashes include infrequent changes, allergies to chemicals, bacteria and ammonium form accumulated urine and feces.

There was a very popular advertisement, in which the mother of a baby exclaims 'உங்க அப்பாவுக்கு என்ன தெரியும்?!'

and
the baby reacts with a funny gesture!!

People celebrate the anniversaries of the horrifying days like

The demolition of Babar Masjid,

The day the traffic policeman Selvaraj got killed

The day of the bomb-blasts in Coimbatore, to name a few.

The bitterness, the anger, the hatred is rekindled

and kept alive over an extended period.

WHY???

Is it not better to forget the evil and also forgive them if

possible???

Optimism vs Practical wisdom.

A group of people filed a case against the company where they had worked - questioning the correctness of the final settlement.

1. The case is ~ 18 years old and has never come for hearing even ONCE in these many years.

2. The company is in financial crisis and is finding it difficult to pay the monthly salaries of the people employed now, in time.

3. The ex employees telephone among themselves and to the the lawyer - spending a fortune on the telephone bills.

4.Do they really think that the case will be ever taken up, argued and won???

I like optimism but I also like practical wisdom.

How will the company pay the money which it does not have???

சட்டியில் இருந்தால் தானே அகப்பையில் வரும்???

In courtesy I'd have her chiefly learned;
Hearts are not had as a gift but hearts are earned by those that are not entirely beautiful.

Danger no refuge holds, and war no peace, :nono:
For him who hears love sing and never cease.

An aged man is but a paltry thing,:tsk:
a tattered coat upon a stick, unless
Soul clap its hands and sing. :sing:

# 16. Old is gold!

In olden days the new born child was exposed to the early morning sun and the evening sun - when the rays fall in a slanting angle and are not very hot.

The baby's face was always turned away from the sunlight to avoid the eyes getting the direct sun rays.

My oldest paternal uncle used to make fun of everything established and everyone around him. He would often say, "The old ladies have no other work! They smear the new born child with castor oil and dry it in the sunlight after placing it on a winnow!"

We used to laugh it off. But when both my grandchildren developed infant jaundice, I had to learn more about it!

Nearly all infants are jaundiced to some degree. In the vast majority of cases, newborn jaundice is a normal process, which many researchers feel may even serve protective functions, such as guarding the infant from the effects of oxygen free radicals.

It makes sense that something that occurs in the majority of babies so routinely may be part of nature’s plan for the human infant.

Jaundice occurs when a yellow pigment called ” bilirubin” accumulates in the tissue, especially the skin, where you can see it as a yellow or orange tint.

In adults or older children, jaundice is considered a pathological condition, but this is rarely the case with newborns.

The very common type of jaundice that most babies experience is called normal, or ” physiologic” jaundice.

Physiologic jaundice is not a disease – it is nearly always a harmless condition with no adverse after effects, as long as the bilirubin count doesn’t reach dangerous levels.

The treatment is photo therapy, in artificial light or the sun rays. My grand daughter could get the morning and evening sun rays right through her windows and did not need the artificial lights. The little boy needed a week-long light-therapy, two sessions per day.

May be the infant jaundice in a mild form is more beneficial than harmful.

My point is how did our ancestors know that most of the babies would suffer from this mild form of jaundice and that it could be set right naturally with the help of Sun rays???

Back to the future???

My P.C.(laptop) shows the correct time.

All my posts are marked one hour later or (+1) hour.

WHY???

What should be set right???

Can someone guide me please???

Is something going on like "bendai nimiththarathu?"

Young turks are completely missing or are very silent...

both invisible and inaudible at the same time!!!

I thought that they got :bored: and stayed away from my threads.

But now I have my own doubts!!!

It is love that i am seeking for,
But of a beautiful unheard-of kind,
That is not in the world.

Do you not know
How great a wrong it is to let one's thought
Wander for a moment when one is in love.

To dream of women whose beauty was folded in dismay,
Even in an old story, is a burden not to be borne. :nono:

# 17.old is gold.

Our childhood days were spent in a small town / big village(?)

The elderly ladies there just wore a saree without the any blouse or even bodice. Yet they looked decent, presentable and well groomed.

Thinking back I recollect that I never saw any lady with a lot of body hair or hair in the armpits.

They did not know use of the chemicals. I am not sure whether the chemicals even existed then.

But they had some family secret which made them naturally free of spurious body hair.

Today's women resort to numerous ways to get rid of the unwanted body hair using wax, chemicals, electricity, razor and god knows what else.

But it keeps coming back harder, coarser and faster.

May be the old timers knew a cheap and effective secret which is now lost for ever to the younger generation!
