And Cell Phone companies will get good revenue . BTW this will be called only as an Opinion Poll and not a referendum as there are no neutral Poll Observers for the same and no way to monitor whether the same Guy votes 10-100 times through cell phone or through their paper ballot using some pseudo name .
AAP or anyone is free to hold such opinion polls for any issue but they do not have any legal validity .

Who knows, cong. and/or BJP could have performed a yaaga and made K to form AAP and do all these antics, so that, by the time of 2014 elections they will have better fortunes and AAP will go down as ashes like bhasmaasura

Here is a link to the detailed Biography of Arvind Kejriwal and after reading it one can see though his intentions were noble and idealistic he did not stay in any of his ventures for more than few years and he quit one to start another to quit the same after few years and the list goes on .His last experiment was moving away from Anna's Movement to start the AAP Party and I would not be surprised if he quits the AAP party to start something new . The thing is he is too idealistic to bring about very drastic changes in a very short time and if he is not successful , he quits it and tries another way to do the same only to quit again .

Note : I appreciate the efforts of Kejriwal but I feel he is too idealistic and rushing too quickly . The problem India faces did not come in a short time and it cant be also eradicated in a short time .

It appears that Kejriwal is moving his pieces very carefully.

No one is sure what will happen if a re-election is held in Delhi. It is possible that AAP gains absolute majority now that people have seen its potential. Kejriwal will certainly prefer this instead of taking support from Congress. On the other hand, it is possible for BJP to come back with even more number of seats given the fact that it won other states and is gaining momentum ahead of LS elections. Hence the dilemma!

I doubt whether the Delhi electorate will have the same enthusiasm for another re-election . If AAP forces a re-election by their stubborn stance of not supporting BJP ( or at least giving it an outside issue based support ) then either the people will shun AAP and give a clear verdict to BJP or give AAP an overwhelming Majority appreciating their stubborn stand .

You do appreciate the difficulty then! BJP can afford to take such risks (going for re-election). AAP can't. Therefore, I feel Kejiriwal is being very smart here! By going for this referendum, he is proving that he does things differently. He is acting smarter than seasoned politicians!!!

How smart he is I care a damn but based on his past ( of his quitting every venture after few years being in it ) I am afraid his AAP Experiment will also not last long and he will quit it to start something fresh .I wish to be proved wrong in this . I wish Kejriwal and AAP Party all the best .

it is lkely to be kejriwal for CM
provision of free water easily implementible. if he succeeds in power tariff reduction along with lokpal bill passing he would have satisfied delhi people
I am skeptical about pan india success . he might get seats in haryana ,up, Rajasthan areas adjoining delhi NCr along with a few seats in some metros of other states. If he crosses 30 seats he shoud consider himself lucky

Congrats to Arvind Kejriwal for deciding to form the Govt at Delhi and playing the role as CM . How far he will remain in power is not known and how far he will be able to implement all that he has promised is also not known at the juncture . Even the people of Delhi know that he cant do miracles overnite but would be happy if he works with serious intent in what he is set out to do .
As regards PAN India presence , I feel AAP will focus on only Urban areas where they can mobilize lot of people through Internet and even if they cant win they can act as spoilers .
AAP strategy is to consolidate the anger of people against established Political Parties ( be it Congress /BJP/SP/DMK/AIADMK etc etc ) to work in its favor . More than Congress it is BJP that is now highly frustrated by the emergence of AAP and they feel Kejriwal and AAP have really spoilt their party .
As regards Congress they have arrived at the fact that they can never win for a 3rd Term but also know that no party will get a cleat majority in the 2014 elections and would take a backseat and watch the fun of others breaking their head over how to form the Govt . The issue in 2014 elections seems not between Congress V/S BJP but between established political parties and people frustrated with the same .

I agree with your view that congress is marginalised for 2014 elections.AAP will definitely play the spoiler for BJP in NCR and districts of haryana,rajasthan and UP around delh ibesides metro cities of other states. they are a bull in china shop . it is good fpr indian politics.

Kejriwal may have to hike the tariiff substantially for high usage consumers which means right from Rashtrapati Bhavan to powerful beurocrats and the rich people. But will he be able to do that?

As for Lokpal, it is like saying "if Kejriwal builds another hindu temple" I will vote for him again; what will the Lokpal do when Kejriwal promises a complete corruption-free rule? Catch the President, PM, etc?

you know sangom ji in south delhi most flats and houses have a minimum of 3 ACs .many have doctored meters. many MPs have electricity bills running into lakhs which they have not cleared.after they have ceased to be MPs. There are faulty and fast running meters which run even when you have not consumed electricity. without using ACs I have been paying at least 2K a month on electricity.having a higher tariff for high consuming class and subsidising the poor and middle class who use 500 to 600 units is not a bad idea. I hope he has the will to do it.
Water is more interesting. Jal board does not know much water is treated and supplied every day in each zone. Pressure of water is so low that most flats even ground floor require motors for pumping adding to electricity bills. There is a tanker mafia funding corrupt politicians who in turn project water scarcity. There is the thinking that there is sufficient water for everybody if Jal board is cleaned up
lokpal need not catch PM and president. if it can ensure delivery of citizen services in a timely manner without having to grease the palms of small public officials,it is good enough. lokpal will be a deterrent
