Everything could be settled right on the spot by handing over one or two..... father of nation (Gandhi Notes)

I just browsed with curiosity...... got thousands of results about drunk driving.

On going through the news reported, it seems that everything cannot be settled on the spot as reported. What is the fate of those against whom cases have been registered.

Does this mean that the accused concerned in these cases does not have enough money to settle? or they don't know the strategy?

Only the member can explain.

The following news are concerning only Chennai City, repeat only Chennai City and not entire Tamil Nadu.

"Chennai traffic police register 6,221 cases of drunk driving

CHENNAI: Chennai city traffic police booked 6,221 car drivers on charges of drunk driving this year. The drive against drunk driving was conducted at 54 places based on the orders of Chennai city police commissioner S George.

Following this, police booked over 22,914 cases this year. Those who have been booked for drunk driving include owners of luxury cars.

The traffic police have recommended cancellation of licences of 2,396 drivers. Licences of 374 drivers were cancelled for six months.

You are right.

The Police Department is the portfolio of the Chief Minister.

The general public vote only to such effective politicians to rule us.

Who are to be blamed?

Salman Khan 'Hit-and-run' case reported only in 2002.

You may be aware that the Karnataka High Court has recently delivered judgement in a Disproportionate Assets case which was allowed to drag on for more than 18 years.

India is in the list of top 20 corrupt countries

And Indian judiciary is known for both slow and corruption.

There are cases which are pending for more than several decades.

The three pillars of democracy of India.......

While the Constitution of India was amended for nearly hundred times, why not the existing laws..?

Who prevents this Kapil Misra to fight and reduce the minimum age for drinking at least to 21?

Will he do that for the sake of youngsters who are very anxiously looking for the change?

We have more politicians who are known to deliver nice speeches but don’t act.

Let us wait and see which category this Kapil Misra belongs.

If I pay 5/10 lakhs and get a transfer to a place of my choice(income accruing area) as Sub Inspector, I will book cases one or two here and there and try to harvest my investment in multiplicity, within the available short time.

I know where such people will land up ultimately.

In Tamil Nadu State two Chief Ministers (one former) were arrested for reasons well known. While this being the fateof Chief Ministers, why talk about the fate of S.Is who indulge in practice of corruption

The law will not spare anybody though it takes its own time.

And there is Vigilance Cell and Vigilance and Anti corruption Wing also functioning under the able guidance of Hon'be C.M.,

I believe in the adage உப்புத்தின்பவன் தண்ணீர் குடிப்பான்

And I have read your earlier postings and know that you are against corruption and really appreciate that.:-)

Sir,
What I state is not the sarcastic comment of my own; but comes from the mouth of an S I of Police. I could not councell him.
The truth is that the transfers are "sold" in Chennai city.

In Kerala, lower class and lower middle class people don't depend on Bars or Govt. sponsored wine shops.
In all the petty shops, there would be one mud pot near the leg of the vendor. Customers simply hand over Rs. 10/- get one glass and drink it like water and simply get away in normal walking. No talk, no scenes, no indication of what is sold and bought;everything would go on silently. It is said all home made 'reliable' items.This culture is prevalent in adjoining taluks in Tamil nadu also.

All street- side scenes are created in Tamilnadu only.

இந்த நிலையில், நேற்று காலை 11 மணியளவில் அந்த பாருக்கு சென்ற லில்லி, அங்கே அமர்ந்து கொண்டார். மதுபாருக்குள் திடீரென்று ஒரு பெண் வந்து அமர்ந்து கொண்டதால் , காலையிலேயே டூட்டியில் ஜாயின் பண்ணியிருந்த குடிமகன்கள் அதிர்ச்சி அடைந்தனர். அவரை வெளியே போகுமாறு பாரில் உள்ள பணியாளர்களும், அங்கிருந்த குடிமகன்களும் கட்டாயப்படுத்தினர். அதற்கு லில்லி, எனது கணவர் இங்கேதான் தினமும் மது குடிக்கிறார். நானும் அவருடன் சேர்ந்து மது குடிக்கப் போகிறேன் என்றார். இதனை கேட்ட குடிமகன்கள் திகைத்து போனார்கள்.
