I used to throw away the used green tea bags before - but not any more!
They DO remove the dark bags under the eyes when chilled and placed in that area.
Dark bags of used tea dust removing the dark bags under the eyes is really funny! :)
When one has to keep dropping in the medicines in the form of eye drops by oneself all day long, pulling the lower eye lid beyond its elastic limit becomes inevitble I suppose!

Proving that tons of gem-studded -jewels, yards of eye-catching-silks and kilograms of colorful flowers are absolutely unnecessary for a good dance performance.:clap2:

Call her as Rukmini Vijayakumar or a storm in a tea cup or tsunami on the stage.

They will all mean one and the same person!

P.S.

Now that the audio listening session is over I am treating myself with video watching

session - which i had denied myself for about 5 long years! :)

Variety is the spice of life. Each person has a different taste and each person loves to utilise the choice given to him/her.

Nobody really appreciates a choiceless monotonous existence.
I love very young children and naturally Bala Murugan is my ishta daivam.

Others may choose Vinaayaka the remover of obstacles or Lakshmi Devi the bestower of wealth or Lord Siva the mukthi daayakan and Gnaana poshakan.

That does not make God in any other form inferior in any which way - since they are all one and the same but presented differently.

In Vinaayaka puraanam all the credit is ineviatably given to Vinaayaka - since the puraanam aims to make Him appear the supreme God.

The same story when it appears in Devi Bhaagavatam, all the credit is given to Devi to glorify her. But none of these call names on the other forms of God.

The bhola baala Siva is most fiercely attacked victim. In addition to His original sahasra naama and ashtothra naama He is given additional names with great affection.

Here are a few samples:
பிச்சை உண்ணி
சிக்குத் தலையன்
ஸ்மசான வாசி

To prove our supremacy we don't have to degrade any one else. Supremacy - if it really exists - has to be proved and not claimed by belittling others.

What kind of samathvam or sarvatra sama darsanam is this? :(

One has to practice what one preaches- even if it were God.

While preaching vairaagyam and virakti, one can not be dressed in shining silk, decked in ratna haarams from head to foot and wear garlands made of intoxicating flowers.

If one does both of these - namely preaching virakti and practicing bhogam - what will be the value of the advice given by him?

Siva is a staunch yogi and viraagi. Naturally He will not live in a palace filled with all objects of pleasure and enjoy them. Which is a better place than a smasaanam to teach virakti, vairaagyam and the truth that life is ephemeral and not real.

Head bath taken (abishekham performed) everyday need not render anyone as chikkuth thalaiyan!
We all know the Keralaththup peNgal wash their hair every single day.
I am yet to see women of any state sport such luxurious, thick, long and strong hair.
In fact when the Mullaip periyaar dam controversy was at it peak, all the lovely Kerala girls were punished by cutting of their beautiful hair by the holigans who boarded the college buses.
So daily abhishekham need not create any chikkuth thlaiyan or thalaichi!

Dear VR ji,

Has this ever happened to you before?

Its been some almost 6 months that whatever electronic stuff I touch starts to malfunction!LOL

Initially I thought it was a co incidence that everything one by one is starting to malfunction but later it became a total nightmare cos its costing me money for repair!

The latest is when I pass by any lamp..the lamps start to flicker...any watch I wear totally stops!

Even my car had some problems only when I drive it and the mechanics cant seem to find what is wrong!

Now my dad has totally banned me from touching his electronic stuff cos one of his computer malfunctioned after I used it!LOL

I wonder if a human is totally capable of disturbing electromagnetic fields..as far as I know only paranormal entities can disturb electromagnetic fields!LOL

Multiple Co-incidences?

Dear Renu,
I used get a mild electric shock every time I walsed past my refrigerator-
even when I did not come into contact with it. No one else got the shock.

I get mild shock when I use my lap top but no one else seems to feel it.
Electromagnetism is a mysterious force involving both electricity and magnetism.

I guss when one has an enigmatic personality, electricity, magnetism and electromagnetism come in play in a strange way. :)

76. The Human Aura

Each of us has a glow of colored light surrounding our whole body, called the Human Aura. The glow is invisible to most of us, most of the time. Only very rarely can people register the aura visually.

The aura is an electromagnetic field that surrounds every object, every organism and every living thing in the Universe. The Human Energy Field (H.E.F) is a collection of electromagnetic energy of different densities, emitted by a living person.

The H.E.F is oval shaped and is also known as the Auric Egg. It can extend up to 1 meter on all the sides, above the head and also below the feet into the ground. Several colors appear, depending on the different densities.

The meaning of each color seen in the aura has been defined. Each of the colors has a positive as well as a negative aspect. The exact significance depends on the presence and state of the other colors in the aura.

A strong red indicates a willful personality. It may signify physical strength, powers of leadership as well as selfishness.
Green is the colour of nature and healing. It might reveal a deceitful character.

Orange indicates good health. Strong yellow means intellectual abilities.
Blue refers to the person’s religious and spiritual states. Deeper the blue, the more enlightened the person is supposed to be.

Black is the color of evil, malice and misfortunes.

In 1973, Dr. Lyall Watson suggested that aura is a physical emanation, visible only to persons who are sensitive to low frequency light. This idea lends credibility to the reports of halos and auras seen surrounding the saints and holy men.

The effect of profound spirituality appears to heighten the normally invisible aura in such a way that, even normal people lacking the special sensitive eyes can see them.

Aura is a real phenomenon and not just an illusion or imagination!

There must be better way of doing it

if a person wants his name to appear everywhere

than launching ten threads in close succession, :bump2:

collecting ten golden globes of Love All,

keeping the owner busy in moving them

and become vexed in seeing them :(

in addition to the unfortunate readers. :flock:

I wish they will all slide down with the pen and pad

( indicating that they were unread by anyone)

and naturally not comment upon! :amen:

Lord Siva is a yogi. Actually He is not just a yogi. He is The Yogi.
The words used are always 'A Siva Yogi' and 'A Brahma Gnaani'.
A yogi will be yogi and a gnaani and not a bhogi.
A bhogi may be a rogi in addition to being a bhogi
and never be called as a yogi or gnaani.

Several holy births have remained mysterious

since they are the avatars of the amsmas of Gods and Goddesses.

Sita was found while King Janaka ploughed a piece of land for yaga.

Padmavati was found in a box filled with lotus petals in the earth.

Andal was found near a Tulsi plant by Periaazhvaar.

Valli was found in a pit dug for vaLIk kizhangu.

These Lucky Ladies have been accepted as the consorts

by their Lords and as Goddesses by all of us. :hail:

What about the fate of men born with mysterious births?

Karna was the son of Sun God and the Virgin princess Kunti Devi. He was left in a casket to float and as live destiny ordained him to do.

Later he was found by and brought up by a charioteer and his wife. So he was called a Souta = Son of Suta or belonging to charioteer cast and was considered and insulted as a Sūtaputra = Son of Sūta, all his life.

Thrup PaaNaazhvaar was similarly found and brought up by a PaaNan or a musician. And all his life was ill treated as belonging to a lower caste.

He was not only not allowed to go near the temple,he was not even allowed to walk in the streets of Sri Rangam freely.

He was pelted with a stone injuring him on his forehead by the priest - who was a Sri VaishNva - nearest to the God in the temple, but farthest from humaneness and feeling of samathvam.

The terrible crime committed by the Aazhvaar which caused this attack was just singing the praise of his ishta Deivam Sri Ranaganaathan, while being lost to the external world.

God had to bear the wound in His forehead and bleed, to drive home the point into the minds of the so called high caste Vaishna priest, the greatnes of the simple minded devotee PaaNaan.

Later God ordered the priest to make PaaNan enter his temple and the PaaNan merged with God just as Andal had done.

But Andal was made a goddess. To this day the vigraham of this particular Azhvaar is denied entry in partaking certain urchavams in a famous temple.

So this is the sarvatra sama dharsanam - even after God Himself has accepted the Thirp PaaNaazhvaar into His own divine self.

He was pelted with a stone injuring him on his forehead by the priest - who was a Sri VaishNva - nearest to the God in the temple, but farthest from humaneness and feeling of samathvam.

Narayana!

In another thread..

Narasimha Mehta sang:

Vaishnava (devotees of Lord Vishnu) people are those who,
Feel the pain of others,
Help those who are in misery,
But never let ego or conceit enter their mind.

Vaishnavas, respect the entire world,
Do not censure anyone,
Keep their words, actions and thoughts pure,
The mother of such a soul is blessed.
