Well put Sir! Though I was alone when the 'tholai'pesi' became a 'thollai pesi',

I am not alone in facing this problem - as you have rightly pointed out! :)
but the interesting part is I receive hardly receive any call or knocks on the door during the whole day. It is totally peaceful

how to disperse calls . I need to work on this.

a bigger nuisance is call drop by mobile operators. calls getting just cut without warning and one has to redial or await redial.

I hardly dial people.

Online sharing of messages is much better. we write what is absolutely necessary.

When does the 'tholai pesi' becomes a 'thollai pesi'?
When one son is chatting online and
one sister is talking on landline
and the mobile rings nonstop from
some remote corner of the house
in which you are alone by yourself!
If I face this same situation, I won't consider it as  .... :nono:

1. I shall ask my son to wait for a minute (after all, the internet is unlimited and son can spare a minute for me)

2. I shall tell my sister that I am chatting and shall call her soon after the chat! :phone:

3. Just enjoy the ringtone of the mobile and check the missed call later, after the phone call!

 , right? Hence my BP does not shoot up! :D

Some parents never learn that sparing a few minutes everyday at some appointed TIME, is very tough for the NRI sons.

I have seen a few guys getting restless when the appointed time approaches and even forget their visit to the rest room! :(

Luckily I have no BP issues.

I am cold blooded I suppose.

Some calls, I quietly do not register in my brain what is conveyed and keep saying yes. see once you are married long enough, one learns to say yes without

questioning anything. Unless something is repeated three times ,it is not normally not important to remember.

Similarly grunting Huh periodically helps.Others think You are disapproving something. They normally hang up after hearing that. These are simple tips for those

bothered by mobile callers.

Most parents with children abroad face the issue of children not remembering to ring up at the usual time.

It is good to threaten them that you might visit them in case they do not ring regularly.

They will apologise and mend their ways

THAT is precisely WHY you are the  Raji Ram

and I am the troubled bubble Visalramani. :(

NOW I understand WHY I have to repeat

important things three or more times!!! :ohwell:

WHEN and WHERE was the unanimous decision made

by the (Forum's?) Married Men's club???

The problem is that we endure and pass each day
looking forward to the few minutes we get to chat with
our children and get a glimpse of their little ones.
IS THAT A WRONG THING TO DO???

Please don't miss watching the video.
It depicts the Kaaliya nardhanm by
the pretty and agile Shobana and her team. :thumb:
Thanks for posting wonderful dance by Shobana of Oothukkaadu Venkata Kavi's Thillana (set to music by Needamnagalam Krishnamoorthy Bhagavatar) in the raagam gambeera nAttai(?)
You can

Dear sir,
Namaste! :pray2:
I enjoyed dancing when I was young and may be till I became middle aged.
Now I still enjoy watching good classical performances.
Mingling with the fast crowds has become difficult now.
Sitting single and watching the performances is still possible.
Thanks to the YouTube which brings music and dance into our drawing room!
As for the technicalities, I either do not know or do not give importance.
So I redirect the question to more knowledgeable persons in the Forum. :)

Did anyone watch the Maya Ravana???
It is multilingual in the songs included in it and
the voice providers are famous for their voices! :thumb:
I plan to watch it one more time during the weekend! :)
I love the little monkeys and especilaly
the one who does kuttik karanam!

Aadi VeLLI pooja will go on in the temple without my presence.

I bet the singers will be immensely pleased with

their own rendition and more so by my absence!

"aalai illaatha oorukku iluppaip poo chakkarai".

"kurudargalin rajjiyaththil otRaik kaNNan mannan"

My father never missed a thaaLa vaadhya sammeLanam
which was a regular feature in thr A.I.R when we were kids.

Enjoy the pure percussion instruments and the pure dance jathis for the first 13+ minutes of this video.

It is bursting with the energy to suit the Hanumaan chaalis
being featured in the later half! :clap2:

I have never watched anything so far in my life.
so fast, so robust and so well planned and performed. :dizzy:

Dear Sir,
Namaste! :pray2:

My two grand neices were Smt Ananda Shankar's students.
I had the good fortune of meeting this wonderful and courgeloud lady more than 25 years ago in Secundrabad.

I was not aware of this misfortune which had befallen on her. But things are only as important as we consider them to be.

I am happy she has conquered her ailment with her courage and her dance.
Hats off to this lady who can talk as well as she can dance. :clap2:

I am sure this will inspire many women who fear thinking this disease is incurable or terminal or fatal.

I had seen in several movies in which the hero/ heroine
dance with abandon to get over their surging anger.

I myself had played veena like a dame possessed by anger
to fight my anger and become calm again a few years ago.

The extra energy created by fear/ anger/ displeasure/ has to
find a right outlet or it will the make person blow a fuse in his/her top!

The five peoms ( actually six) added to my blog Naughty poems
were creations born out of my own anger!

Thanks to those people who made me
angry enough to write those nice poems!!!

Once when my maternal uncle made me very angry on phone,
I sat and stitched a delicate blouse which needed lining and
hence was lying unstitched for a very long time.

Anger and fear help - if we can channelize them into creative energy.
