women domination

If a man thought he was deciding for the family it is only because a women would let him think so.
The jokes aside if you look at the simple phrase "Shakti illai na shivanen kadi" illustrates this even better. The Shakti is the female part.
Our religion, culture, language all are imparted from our mother and maintained by the women of the family. They accepted to dominate from behind, and now some of them want to dominate from front.

My Kerala relatives are from Thathamangalam. Although my nuclear family are Tanjorians.

Dear friends,
This site is really interesting. It gives out the real happenings, one can easily relate to. In our community, of late, there is domination of young married women to their husbands & therefore the boys parents try to avoid any misunderstandings, by way of getting the couple live separatetly & visit them once a while. Of course when necessity crops up at Delivery time, the parents become much wanted.
So, we elderly let us enjoy life , whenever circumstances become favourably

I wanted to andi, kaani, I was afraid to start a new debate, as to who is dominating this thread.... Once a man said " hey things are not working when you think I am leading, so why don't you lead and I will follow", and saying that, he criticized everything the his wife did.. and you think she even thought of leading or taking any sort of decisions, NAH!!! she was so fed up, she just let him lead, what is the point, half of her life was gone anyway, the husband telling her what to do.. and the rest will be determined by the children.. that is the state of women in many families.. so the rajas gunam is man made the woman did not establish such rules, if anybody paid attention to the manthras that are said during the wedding, the first sentence itself says you and I are equal and let us respect each other, let us be friends and let us dress well and you be my rock and I will yours and let us lead a happy life together... and no place it says you be my slave and you follow me if not you will pay... I do believe in equality.. a man and a woman being loving partners sharing everything.. there should not be this gender rule... What is best for the family is important..

Anyway Haridasa garu, this is my two cents on the Raajasa gunam.. :-)

Hi Bushu garu,

Meerunu telugu vaala? sagam telugu sagam tamizh? ma intlo chala mandilu relatives alage :). Meeru chepindhi chaala baagundi.

Well said Bushu ji...

Ironically many girls and guys are brainwashed by their wrong social circle and instilled with generalized negative attitude towards the opposite gender.

Unless parents instill their children with good values and belief system, it's very hard for the guys and gals living in a married life. That's how we find hell lots of Divorce cases pilling up in Family courts.

Thank you Amala garu, Yes I am half telugu..naa jeevitam oka pedha katha lendi.. :-)) jokes apart, maa sontha amma Tamil iyer from Madurai, father telugu smartha from guntur.. :-) but was brought up by one beautiful set of parents you might know, my Nana's name Sri. D. L. Narayana who was the visionary and veteran producer of Devadas, Kanyasulakam, Ekaveera ( nenu dance kooda chesaanu) dongalo dora, dorikite dongalu etc etc etc.. he of course was telugu brahmin and opposite house, there was a Pallakkad Iyer family that daddy's name was P. A. Sundaram.. I practically grew up as daughter to both the families, my nana nannu adopt cheskunaaru, but part of my life I lived with my daddy's family and when Nana had passed away in 1974 Daddy and amma were the ones who got me married etc.. My own mother had given me away, so my life would be better one.. I used to be upset, when I was little but as I grew older and now.. I thank her for that.. I thank god for giving me Nana and amma and Daddy and another amma who is the only one living right now in Madras.. so I am a pakka telugu and a pakka pallakkad Iyer :-)) now married to a telugu brahmin.. come full circle.... My Nana and Daddy were the greatest pillars in my life, what I am today is because of them and their families.. I would not change anything..

I totally agree with you Ravi ji, what is needed in a marriage is balance.. In those days why even today it was male who was dominating and now woman are dominating, but again what went wrong many years ago with some families should be a perfect example to the youngsters, not to repeat those mistakes..

My son is 27 years old I always tell him, when you marry, respect your wife, if you have any difference, communicate and sort it out, never bottle things up or get into a silly fight.. everything can be solved with a little understanding..

My son is a very sensitive guy, he was telling his uncle, I think I did mention this in another thread, for a marriage to be successful, you need . Love, Trust, compromise, understanding, (tolerance) and balance... when you have these, there is only happiness.. he said this when he was 15 years old.. I was so pleasantly surprised.. :-) anyway.. thank you for your appreciation..

One thing I have to say here, I have been meeting some young couples lately and when looking at them, I can see the friendship, love and playfulness, which I think my generation lacked, they could have started out like that but not continued later on..... but looking at these young couples today, I am happy to see that they continue that friendship love and playfulness, may be today's movie influence.. again today's movies is totally another topic. :-)
Best!

Bushu :-)
